Ignoring the quality of the meme, which is awesome, I don't think people understand how much eldritch and cosmic horror stuff is in elden ring. Like, obviously astel, but the game is littered with it. Like, there are so many outer gods that are basically just bloodborne great old ones. The greater will is one, there is an unnamed one that picked the storm lord as their vessel, there is the one related to scarlet rot, the frenzied flame, and several more
I literally think the great one that gives Mogh his blood powers is literally odeon.

@@rogue_0314 just kinda scratch, I just thought it was funny that there were two blood obsessed formless cosmic entity's, I just thought it was similar plus oedon is said to be obsessed with finding a special kind of blood, and mogh who the formless mother found had very unique blood. Probably just an inspiration thing but it's fun to think about

i remember seeing that boss for the first time and my first thought was: "what in the bloodborne shit is this!?"
With how large Astel's attacks can get compared to the usual melee only bosses like Orphan of Kos, I wonder if it would actually fit the Bloodborne asthetics aside from the Eldritch abomination design.
astel would be a lot more like the celestial emissaries / living failures mechanically and lorewise, considering astel is effectively an alien
both bosses rely more on range / spellcasting and are all generally annoying to fight. think of a mix between... amygdala and the living failures ?
@@lvcrimosv I was about to say this. Considering we also move much faster in bloodborne, I think it fits in rather well. Most bosses are after all mid to large sized enemies, most moving rather fast for their sizes

I don't think a lot of people understand it is all of the game themes and elements in elden ring.

The Hunter got angry that Astael decided to drop his meteorites on him during the fight against Living Failures, so he came to take him to his lovely family and kick his ass.
Man, you missed an opportunity for the hunter waving to Astel using the "make contact" gesture.
You know what... I ran into this enemy twice.. in the game.. & 1 of those times was definitely UNEXPECTED... just like coming across the "un-mature" version of the fallen beast in a tiny mining cave... *sighs heavily*
