Let the other guys who weren't hot like McNeil get hot on the lineup. Alonso is bound to get it again and then the entire lineup will he sizzling from front to back. And when it is, I don't think there's a more realer lineup from front to end.
They need to work hard to be more patient and sharper or more alert on seeing those pitches that have been making them chase out of the zone. It always tempts me to get upset when I see them take a pitch in the zone where they can drive it for a strike but don't swing and take it for a strike, then they go for the pitch out of the ZONE. NO....be ready to hit the pitches you can hit.
I think Alonso could catch fire this month and then have it for the post season. He just needs to humble himself and forget about how much money he is it isn't going to make. It's going to show his character. Don't try to be like anyone else. Be yourself. Regardless how much money you're going to make.
I believe Alonso will be Alonso again. He's going through it right now. Let him go through his thing. Because he's going to get it again. He's still getting better as a hitter through all of this he's going through.
They have to be more ready to hit the pitches in their zone. More ready to hit the fastballs. But more poised and patient to read the balls that are not going to end up in the zone. But that Mets lineup regardless is a real threat from beginning to end. When that entire lineup catches fire with Winker on it this time, just watch out.
