I just want to say a huge thank you for all of the wonderful get well wishes. Unfortunately, Courtney is now back in hospital. We are just waiting for the Dr to examine her. She is unable to eat or drink and feels absolutely rotten ! When she is feeling better I will show her all of your lovely comments. I'll keep you updated x x

My son had 2 lots of antibiotics thinking it was his tonsils but turned out to be glandular fever. The worse thing was he had just started Uni and didn't tell us he had been ill. Glad she's on the mend though it can take a while to recover fully. xx

I just am recovering from this, I had tonsillitis and glandular fever. I was exactly how she was, thin as paper, white, absolutely deathly. I wish I saw this sooner. They did all the same things to me too, antibiotics, iv fluids, pain killers. For anyone reading this this is my list of things what’s helped. landular fever Liquid Panadol and liquid nuroefen alternating so when one wears off you can take more. Cold caps for migraines If tonsillitis as well need to oil pull with coconut oil.( tea spoon and let it melt in mouth gargle swallow if you can or spit out) Cepacaine for numbing and anti bacterial. Vicks to sweat more. Nasal un blocking spray Nasal flush !!!! ( up to 4 times a day) Tongue scraper for the yuckies Doctors can prescribe steriods for the swollen tonsils IV DRIPS!! if you can’t eat or swallow Emotional support- most important having loved ones heals you faster stress makes symptoms worse

I hope Courtney feels better soon. Glandular fever is awful. I had it it during my first year of university when I was training to be a nurse. Unfortunately I was allowed to take any days off. I was so I'll and fainting and vomiting. I kept going for a year at uni until I could barely sit up. I then dropped out of uni to recover but that didn't happen and I have been ill every day since. It was 18 years ago....This isn't to scare anyone but to tell people how important it is to recover properly. My family pushed me to fight through it and I've now been ill my whole adult life because of that.
I suffered from Tonsillitis from the age of 8 till 19 then I got Glangaler fever! Was off work for 6 weeks... it is pants! I have massive Tonsils like golf balls! Get well boo I feel ya pain xxxx
I have glandular fever right now and I was at the hospital last night as I couldn’t drink or eat anything. I’ve had my bloods done and still waiting for a confirmation. I’m on liquid medicine now and can only just drink water.
