Ahh.... I miss watching Popeye cartoons.... It was something I saw as a kid too.
they do have popcorn shrimp as well...other good sides, are red beans & rice, also cajun rice.
Higuys! Popeyes is my favorite, it was started by someone in New Orleans, Louisiana a long time ago and has spread all over in the last 30 yrs. or so. The spicy at Popeyes is quiet tame. The spicest food I ever ate was at an Indian restaurant here in Texas. Being used to hot Mexican food, I ignored the menu's warning and ordered a spicy chicken dish. At first it was fine and very tasty then it felt as if my tounge was swollen and my whole mouth was on fire. I didn't know it, but I had turned bright red. The waiter asked me if I was alright and I told him that the food was too hot for me. He came back with a banana and told me to chew it thourghly. That helped a lot.
Popeyes used to be better when it was more local in Louisiana. Also, the spicy type used to be spicier before they catered to national and international tastes.
Louisianans cam handle heat better than most Americans and Brits.
I know I can handle Indian spicy. We have a north Indian restaurant called Punjabi Dhaba in Hammond, Louisiana, and they have different spice levels. I always get what they call Indian spicy, which is what they would fix at home.
It's so cool that an old, semi-forgotten cartoon character like Popeye's is known to a young adult in India. Are Snoopy and his pals (Charlie Brown and the rest of the Peanuts) known in India?
I believe some of us older viewers know Popeye. It was an old cartoon.
@@AC-ni4gtI once asked a friend from India if he knew about scooby doo. He was annoyed that I even asked such a silly question. Of course I do. 😅
Popeye the sailor was based on a river boat sailor from Illinois,the producers first had Popeye drinking beer thought otherwise and switched to spinach.
The lady reactor is honestly too gorgeous for me to see without verbal praise.
There is a relatively new fried chicken chain here in the states that is very good and becoming very popular RAISING CAINS.
They have regular and spicy chicken. They also have packets of Cajun Spice to sprinkle on top and hot sauce. We usually cut the biscuits along the side and put honey between it as well as jelly, strawberry or grape. Depending on the meal or how we feel we each our biscuits either sweet or savory. Popeyes is the best, but sometimes you have to switch it up, because you get a taste for a different flavor. Still Popeyes is the first choice.

Popeyes used to use Popeye the sailor as their mascot (this was in the early 80s.) I’m not sure when they dropped him

Biscuits and scones are both quick breads, but they’re definitely not the same no matter what you put on them.
It’s difficult to compare. Apparently KFC is very good in other countries, but it’s very run down in the US now.
I might add that Popeyes has mild chicken as well as spicy. I think they only ordered them the Spicy I have heard that British food is really bland. How do they eat bland food. I love Indian food.
My sister and nieces would go to the bad side of town just for their beans and rice. Eat it till came out my ears. Chicken is ok to.

quick summary: KFC around the world is very good. KFC in America is not and lost the chicken wars and is much worse than its competitors. Popeye's and Chik-fil-e are the two dominant chains fighting for the top spot in America.
KFC around the world is also very bad not just America!!
Mac and cheese homemade is good. Store bought is not.
