Poor peter, this was more tragic than it looks. Ock broke and damaged personal relationship to his family and super friends. he was a passenger of his own body. Worse of all, no one saved him- no one suspected something was wrong with him. Kree, mindcontrol, mystic, clones. Lots of variables that have already happened and no one tried to save spidey.
Actually, the Avengers DID see if he was a Clone, Skrull or mind controlled. None of them thought of mind-swapping.

Actually in one Comic Wolvie knew something was up with his friend Spider, but Otto managed to trick the X-Men so that nothing was done at that moment...
I can accept that none of his superhero friends couldn’t figure it out despite some having great senses, smarts, and relationships with spidey. But you’re telling me that aunt may and mj couldn’t figure it out? The people he is the closest with and his family? Mj should have figured it out.

I find this as a bonding moment between cap and Spider-Man. Spider-Man's been living the hero life in a first person point of view, but forgets he also has to see the hero life in a third person point of view as well.

I always remember this moment differently. I remembered it as a scene showing that Pete was pissed because the re-scans show that his brain chemistry was different when they scanned Ock so they “knew” he wasn’t himself. Don’t know how I could forget about venom. Edit: Agent Venom’s identity being revealed.
If I recall right it was a miniscule difference that only Tony wouldve noticed, and doc ock deleted it afterwards anyways

They really needed to add stuff like that to the movies. There were a couple attempts but they really needed to get a top line comedian involved with the writing process. Here's hoping the next time they reboot Spider-man they include a comedian for the quips.... that and maybe skip Peter's teen years. The character in the comics is usually past the teen years and it's annoying seeing it over and over and over when his later life (when he's far more active) is neglected so much on flim.

For the joke
he was conscious only for only ≈40% of the time, arguably less: it's been weeks, maybe a couple of months before Peter's memories and personality crreated the "Ghost" of Peter, and even so, he was conscious for only half on the run, since Doc Ock found out about him, and trapped him inside his own worst memories, making him unable to see and interfere with his action
I mean, Spider-Man DID NOT punch Cap. He gently touched him with his fist. If he HAD punched Cap, Cap would be dead. 'Nuff said! Excelsior!!
"He gently touched him with his face" can be used to describe how you fights all of his opponents or else he'd knock their head off. Although I think we're going to need it to come up with a shorter for it, because that's a mouthful.

But consider that Spider-Man can lift a car over his head like you or me lifting 40lbs over our heads, his fingers digging into the steel frame of the car as he does so. That's how strong Spider-Man is. That's how tough his muscles and bones are. He can lift anywhere from 20,000lbs to 100,000lbs. Durable sure, but Cap's head would EXPLODE if Spider-Man punched him full force.

That said, he's always had that fatherly attitude towards Peter, letting him blow off some steam like you'd let your teenage son be a teenager...
I guess that goes both ways too, Steve already hit Peter in the past to prevent any harm coming to him...
These two really have an interesting son/father ( more like grandson/grandfather because of Steve's age) relationship...

@@wellingtonafonsodecarvalho9842 The Avengers did a lot of tests to check if Spider-Man is the same guy they know during the Superior Spider-Man saga, they did suspect. And even if he was angry for that he'd tell them that and he'd be angry at all of them and not just Cap
He was being emotional, it wasent exact logic. Flash is a important guy to spiderman, and he kind of wanted to know who he was. And nobody actually did figure out what was wrong with him, so its just a lot of pent up feelings from that traumatic experience.
I think that was the point based on Cap's speech and Spidey accepted it. Also a human reaction that helps prove it really is Peter who is mad over his friend.

Which is a major point of Cap's side in Civil War.
