  • After increasing in response to supply chain disruptions, battery costs now are falling in line with Wright’s Law, leading to lower electric vehicle (EV) sticker prices. If robotaxi platforms proliferate, EVs could account for 95-100% of vehicle sales in 2030. ARK forecasts that electric vehicle sales will scale 33% at an annual rate during the next seven years, from roughly 10 million in 2023 to 74 million in 2030.
A tradition since 2017, “Big Ideas” is ARK’s seminal document, offering a comprehensive analysis of technological convergence and its potential to revolutionize industries and economies at a global scale. At the heart of this report lies thorough research, meticulously conducted by ARK's investment team.

My biggest concern with adoption is the infrastructure build out for old apartments, which many people in America live in and EV adoption in states that have extreme winters. These problems must be solved or we have a major bottleneck to adoption.

As prices go down so does margins and disposable income to spend on services.
Cars also start to appear in the secondary market and third party services.

Appreciate the detail here, but I think the numbers are overly optimistic. 2030 is basically 5 years away, and we’re seeing over and over that infrastructure is lagging behind; not only charging stations, but upgrades to the grid. And while robotaxis may find their niche in dense cities like San Francisco or New York, rural areas and most of middle America will likely be very slow adopters. Also, don’t discount the love for gasoline powered vehicles. They have a long history and culture, and are marvels of engineering. I can get 45mpg from my wife’s turbo,Honda civic, and it will run forever! One last consideration is the hybrid potential. Look closely at the Ford F-150 Poweboost setup: a true hybrid with regen braking, with the addition of an extremely powerful generator capable of running the worksite, campsite, or even powering your home. The heavy handed legislation in California will be one of the biggest roadblocks to the adoption: instead of letting the market work or allowing the electric vehicles to prove themselves, they are forced on the community artificially, bringing along resentment and frustration that extends beyond the governing body to the vehicles themselves.

You bought at peak of the market. Prices were massively inflated because of the massive increase in m2 money supply during covid era. Since then we've been increasingly sliding into recessionary territory because of the hangover from the m2 money injection, and as a result prices have slumped. If you believe in the thesis, and you don't need the money, just be patient. One of the core skills of investing is emotional control and patience; if you don't have these I would recommend not investing. Have a good day.

Why cut your loses now? The Fed will have 1 rate cut this year, and 4 cuts next year. That alone will cause a ‘Bull Market’, so ARK etf should go higher. Tesla which is a main holding in that fund, is at a turn around point also, ready to pop. So the way I see it, you would make the beginners mistake if investing. “Buy high, sell low”. Isn’t that the opposite of an investment strategy? Only sell, if you found a better investment that will get you big gains in the coming years.

I will never be convinced that EV are environmentally clean either in its rare earth element extraction by kids in mines to the limited life span & repair costs of dud batteries, let alone the EV fire safety issue, all makes an EV both unsalable second hand and if damaged in an accident gets written off. Higher insurance costs because of it and not everyone has a detached house with a drive to charge your car up, then there is no infrastructure on the road network OR crucially the power grid to cope with EV charging of millions of cars at night…if the gov doesn’t decide to actually pull electric from your car instead of give you it due to massive consumption. It’s a control mechanism of the masses and no one wants that.

0:25 "Revert Back" is poor English. Revert Meaning : to come or go back (as to a former condition, period, or subject). Just remove "back" to use "Revert" correctly.

The USA is going to seriously backpedal if we have a change in administrations.
Elon agreed with the removal of all Federal EV tax incentives if and only if all petroleum Federal subsidies are eliminated. I know that there’s no chance in hell for that to happen because politics involves billions of dollars of donations given by the very industries that those elected officials will now protect. Sorry, I’m not a good writer, so I can only hope that my writing made some sense. Everyone knows who butters their bread. Petroleum subsidies are evil and I don’t know when they started, but any politician that rejects their money will definitely loose the election.

Not just the tech- can anybody tell me which state/county/jurisdiction allows a resident to let their autonomously driven car drive others for profit? If the car is in an accident, who is responsible- the owner, the passenger or Tesla? Ark is talking robotaxis in 2025! I hope the tech takes off but really we need to be talking some basic issues before we are counting our hatched chickens.
