That was also Mike Johnson's and Valtrex Rathersmarmy's jobs. Tommy Tuberville focused on the dreary decor and less than tropical ambience of the courtroom. The GOP have always cared about providing the very best surroundings for anyone accused of committing felonies.
I had a real reaction to the "are you staring me down now?" comment. Ex-teacher here...I have had that happen to me maybe 3 times in 20 years, and it was always from the worst character in the room...someone so cocky and obnoxious that even the other teenagers disliked. Always important to assert one's authority in that scenario and make sure said person follows the rules or is ejected if they cannot comply.
big whoop! Even if they remove Cannon, how long will it take to find her replacement and get back on the case. By then, it will 2027 and Trump will be running for President in 2028. Talk about slow walking a case!
"The defense rests. Oy vey! Can you say debacle?" I love the way Harry expresses himself. So natural. I think it's a 'force multiplier' to his very knowledgeable opinion.
Didn't you know? Trump knows more about the military than generals, he knows more about climate and pandemics than scientists, and he knows more about law and legal tactics than lawyers.

I wanna know why the attorneys/congressmen/red-tie Mafia guys aren't being investigated by their bars. Their jury intimidation aside some of their statements about the court and trial, as officers-of-the-court, were certainly actionable.
"In another email, Costello wrote to Citron, _'Our issue is to get Cohen on the right page without giving him the appearance that we are following instructions from Giuliani or the president.'"_ *Costello: The emails **_"speak for themselves."_*
Or from RUclips j/s Super glad I found these folks when they started up. Been watching ever since. Personally I was starting to question my own sanity with all the 'unrealistic' stuff coming out. Started to think I was in the wrong until Meidas Touch .......thankful TBH
Costello, just as trumputin does, has absolute contempt for the judge and the court proceedings. He, together with the other members of trumputin's 'legal team' have only one goal - to make it impossible to continue on with the trial. This the mindset of the mobster, they want to destroy anything and anyone who gets in their way.
It was such poetic justice that the defense's only real witness underscored WHY Cohen was so pissed at Trump, totally rehabilitating Michael Cohen!! Cohen did a great job, and the defense sucked. Such a great outcome!!
I really like having Harry and Ben do a crossover video. They're both fantastic legal commentators, and Harry takes away Ben's biggest weakness (picking interesting topics to discuss) which makes the joint work better than what either channel would be doing solo.
Here's an old one of mine, riffing on Tom Waits A Foreign Affair: A foreign affair, juxtaposed, with a stateside, And domestically unapproved Mendastic fancy, Was mysteriously redacted, due to circumstances knowing It would only be parlayed, Into a misery . Under fear of contradiction, Rudy's pants produced a fiction A handkerchief of words...to fool a fencepost And drop the jaw of news hosts A now a man is cut up because He never shut up But his words will never let up Until the lies are strung up Over this flag of flesh that waves To the world above it's graves. A foreign affair, over time has slowly ripened With unending legal stipends Overflowing lawyer's coffers With a sea of unholy offers By a bargain basement president Whose reason is the law is bent To help him win the hearts and minds Of a people that are so resigned That our future's been consigned To a corporate state's design. A foreign affair, conceived in it's mindset That believes the world is better kept Separate cold, and unadept To see itself a hollow bet By a man of many rooms, yet Walled in and homeless.
Roberts speech isn't as effective as reading court statements or statements from Trump's staff. Example: "Former White House chief of staff, retired Marine Gen. John Kelly, said, "President Trump is the most flawed person I've ever known. The depths of his dishonesty is just astounding to me. The dishonesty, the transactional nature of every relationship, though it's more pathetic than anything else. He is the most flawed person I have ever met in my life." Greg Cohn, Trump's chief economic advisor in the early white house years, said, "He gets up because he is bored. And his staff is no better. Kushner is an entitled baby who knows nothing. Bannon is an arrogant prick who thinks he's smarter than he is. Trump is less a person than a collection of terrible traits. No one will survive the first year but his family. I hate the work, but feel I need to stay because I'm the only person there with a clue what he's doing. The reason so few jobs have been filled is that they only accept people who pass ridiculous purity tests, even for midlevel policy-making jobs where the people will never see the light of day. I am in a constant state of shock and horror."
Example 2: The Trump Foundation, run by Don and the kids, was found guilty in court in 2019 of skimming off half of it's 5.6 million veterans charity donations of 2.8 million to spend it on the 2016 election and Trump enterprises. (Mar-a-lago bills) Trump admitted he used the charity funds for political causes. He also admitted to claiming credit for monies that actually came from non Trump charities. Fraud on a multimillion dollar level. The suit accused the foundation of being nothing more than an empty shell, with no employees, and not having a board meeting since 1999. Fined 2 million, the 2.8 million ordered repaid, and the Foundation ordered dissolved. All public record. If anyone out there is still wondering if Trump thinks veterans are suckers, look no further.
I think Trump directed Blanch to put tough-guy Costello on. Even if Costello has nothing intelligent to say. Because that's Trump's bombastic, berating, lying style of b.s. Always posturing.
Costello was used for political purposes, Don Trump wanted to use him in these statements later, for political purposes, because for this trial, he was toast!

Sadly NO HOPE he will go to prison even if found guilty on all counts. Stop getting your hopes up. Never gonna happen
I was nervous about Cohen until Costello testified. Never seen a witness blow up a case single handedly like that
It won't make much difference. Convince at least one Trump voter to change his or her mind.
When Trumpopath says Costello "was treated soooo unfairly" you know it was a massive fuck up.
"Trumpopath." My new favorite name for this monster.
Costello's job was to give the judge the middle finger because Trump couldn't do it himself.
That was also Mike Johnson's and Valtrex Rathersmarmy's jobs.
Tommy Tuberville focused on the dreary decor and less than tropical ambience of the courtroom.
The GOP have always cared about providing the very best surroundings for anyone accused of committing felonies.
I like Harry Litman. He has no problem calling crap what it is. Crap! And jerks, jerks. 😁
It is really solid of Ben to plug 'Talking Feds' so much.
The jury is thinking "he made my nice judge angry" and then "aha! He tied in trump!"
Two of my favorites, along with Popok, KFA & Glenn Kirshner
I'm just wild about Harry! (From an old Doris Day film)

I agree with Mary Mary. Trump is blindly vengeful to the point of hurting his own short-term interests

Judge Cannon rejects gag order. Let’s go Jack!
A good chance for Jack Smith to appeal the decision to the 11th circuit court of appeal. Also ask for removal to put pressure on cannon and Trump.
I really hope he goes for it this time. His staff must've already built a case ready for the 11th from all her prior shenanigans.

Harry thank you for the team up
Is Costello going to face charges for his obstruction? Maybe disbarment?
Trump should be encouraged to make his own legal decisions! He's so smart, he doesn't need help :)
Right😳
One of the many people voices in his head is a lawyer
Right. Let him make all the legal decisions , it's worked soo well before. VOTE BLUE

Trump doesn't listen to lawyers.

It's refreshing to hear Americans "say it as it is". I'm a buttoned up Brit who listens with wonder.
