Definitely one of my favorite champion themes. Iris is a great champion and honestly she's really the most 'fun'. Lot's of champions have this serious vibe to them and sure Iris does to an extent but really her battle is just fun! Give it your all, hold nothing back, and most of all enjoy the battle. That's how I see Iris's champion theme!
I would agree, but my first experience fighting her was with my last three Pokemon in an already underleveled team during a semi-blind nuzlocke. In other words; I held nothing back when it came to stall strats lol
By far one of the most frustrating champions to duke it out with!! Her Hydreigon was the bane of my existence, and I always felt such relief whenever I defeated it.
Ghetsis' in BW1 is far worse because you can't have a Lucario waiting to tear it to shreds. Ghetsis' Hydreigon in 2 is a joke in comparison, mostly for the same reasons as above.
Weavile would like to know your location And before I get the "hE hAs FirE bLAst" crap Weavile with even the slightest amount of speed EVs and attack EVs will out speed and OHKO those dragons with a stab Ice Punch :)
I just want to thank you, i've been hearing this theme for like the 3 days ago (even this morning) and you did this beautiful remix, is just perfect in the right time, no much to say, thank you
Gen V has the best music for sure. Every gen has their own phenomenal pieces, but gen V is just all over the place and wiping the floor with everything. Towns, routes, battle themes, the Elite Four, both champion themes, the legendary themes... man gen V hits good
I don't like BW but I love the sequels tho, so it's my least fav gen in Pokémon. Though that doesn't mean I don't enjoy playing them, I played BW when I was little so it is nostalgic for me
@@XPikabikaX Huh. My least favorite is 6th gen even though I'm really attached to the game cause my brother used to play it a lot with me. Because of that I could never hate the game, but I do hate the anime.
I love this song, like it gave me courage and determination to beat Iris. And I think I remember only having like 2 pokemon left or something when I first beaten her.
YES!!! I can DEFINITELY see Iris returning. In Pokemon Masters she said that her cousin is Leon so her returning is a MUST! They can make an episode where she's visiting Leon and Hop. Her team could consist of, 1. Haxorus -Dragon Claw (to replace Scratch) -Outrage -Giga Impact -Dragon Pulse (to replace Dragon Rage) 2. Excadrill -Drill Run -Dig -Focus Blast -Iron Head (to replace Metal Claw) 3. Emolga -Attract -Discharge -Volt Switch -Aerial Ace (to replace Hidden Power) 4. Dragonite -Thunder Punch -Flamethrower -Ice Beam -Dragon Rush 5. Garchomp -Dig -Dragon Claw -Double Team -Sandstorm (She can utilize its ability Sand Veil by using Sandstorm with Double Team and use Dig to further confuse her opponents.) 6. Lapras *(Gigantamax)* -Ice Beam (G-Max Resonance) -Hydro Pump -Horn Drill -Dragon Pulse
This remix makes me want to play B2W2 in challenge mode once again and make it even MORE challenging for myself and make every second to fight my all time favorite champion be the best. Really good cover, i loved how well fits her :D
Honestly I feel the same way about Alder's theme. Compared to some of the other tracks of the game I feel like it just doesn't deliver. A little generic and safe. A shame because Alder's team is excellent. That Volcarona is pure evil in BW2 champion tournaments with quiver dance.
My first time beating Iris was with Azumarill, Pelipper, Lucario, Roserade, Ditto, and an overleveled Emboar. I have Black and White 2, lol. It was a great time. Rest of my team was under Level 40, Emboar over 80. I wish I could remember exactly how it went.
as someone who did challenge mode with a serperior i had problems until serperior learned dragon tail and leaf blade, may want to have a more attacking seperior
Can you do a ho-oh battle theme as i really love that song. Also, it seems to me like it may be a bit of a challenge ( but the challenges do bring the bigger rewards)
Seriously though, she has to be my all-time favorite Champion, right above Steven and Cynthia. The reason why is because while Cynthia was tough, I was still well prepared with my own team, I even had my own Garchomp to take her on. Meanwhile, Steven gave me a tougher challenge in Omega Ruby because of his goddamn Mega Metagross(it was a freaking monster). Then there was Iris, who gave me the toughest challenge of all. This was because I was lucky enough to have a friend that already had the challenge key, so I got to have my first playthrough be on challenge mode, and boy was it rough. She was singlehandedly the toughest champion I ever faced, my Pokémon were just slightly underleveled (I prefer being underleveled to being overleveled) and she took advantage of it, literally having every single one of her Pokémon as a counter for each of my own, and vice versa. Aggron, strong against my Vanilluxe. Lapras, beat my Chandelure. Archeops, beat my Scolipede. Druddigon, beat my Lucario. Hydreigon, it’s a freaking Gen-5 Special attacking Hydreigon, of course that thing was a monster! Haxorus, that Dragon Dance surprises me, but that Focus sash was just bs when I couldn’t take it out in 1 hit to stop it from wrecking my remaining Pokémon with Dual Chop, X-Scissor, and freaking Earthquake! Honestly, I probably could have planned ahead, but I knew that looking up the teams ahead of time would be the main reason behind it being easy, so I decided to go in blind, and while I did fine with even Ghetsis, Iris still proved to me that when you don’t plan ahead, that is when the games get tough. I did the same thing with Leon, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that contrary to what people say, when you don’t overuse EXP Candy or look up your opponents, they can be a challenging threat, especially if you use the same number of Pokémon as the gym leader. Leon was almost as much of a challenge as Iris was in my opinion. Especially that Charizard, of all things, thanks to its Solar Beam Max move oneshotting my Drednaw, and the rest of it’s moves being powerful as all hell against most of my remaining Pokémon.

Then you have to deal with her Haxorus.
I failed so many times to that thing (after managing to take out her Hydreigon)
That haxorus oneshoted three of my Pokémon in a row.
Which is worse Iris's Hydreigon or Ghetsis's Hydreigon?
Ghetsis' in BW1 is far worse because you can't have a Lucario waiting to tear it to shreds.
