Its funny how I and many others could recite every single word of Common People on request, yet Jarvis Cocker - the man who wrote it- cannot.

I had the MT500 as a kid. Watching out for one at the moment. Right now I've got a 520 (which has twice the drum pads but less sounds) and a 240 (which has the same sounds as the 500 but no drum pads). Never knew until I first saw this video that he wrote Common People on it.

Growing up as a kid in the 90s I had newer keyboards including a Yamaha PSS-790 and Casio CT-700 plus other keyboards that were second hand
like a Yamaha PSS-280 and Casio SA-10. But I like the lofi warmth of the 80s Casio keyboards and I'm currently eyeing up an MT-500 with the
posibility of maybe buying it for my birthday and in the future I also hope to get an MT-520 as the MT-520 has more punchy sounding drums.

I have just bought a Casio MT-500 for my 35th birthday, thank God we are over 2003 when people used to bang on about how
these Casiotone keyboards sounded like "rubbish" when in reality those people were talking out of their ass and anybody that
does think that about the Casio MT-500 should be banned from listening to any music by Pulp. I even had a go at playing that
chord sequence and the drum part on my Casio MT-500. Sometimes having a basic keyboard like the Casio MT-500 can in
    actual fact inspire more creativity.
