Thanks for explaining , I wish I’ve would have seen a demonstration of how you put the knife into the machine. I’m glad I noticed the clear part on the blade was still attached to the housing and then put into the machine.
Thanks so much for sharing! Will keep that in mind for future videos xx
I just have to add... while this blade CAN be pretty sloppy with all those (multiple) cuts to get through thicker materials, I've gotten cuts with about 50 (FIFTY!) 3mm circles cut out of a piece of medium chipboard, and had them just about perfect.
So, this blade may really surprise you!
Thanks for all you do, Kelly! Great videos!
You are most welcome! Thanks for sharing 😍
Endless possibilities with this blade and this chipboard
Sooooo many 🤩🤩
Getting very excited 😁😁😁 very nice video, as always. Well explained, thank you 😊
Heck yesssss 🤩
Awesome video and informative.. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
I feel like for what I'd want to cut I'd need a scroll saw. Those laser machines are too $. Wish cricut would make a laser machine that's affordable, safe and easy to use.
Me too! There are quite a few cheaper lasers out there, a Cricut laser would be nice but it would still be really pricey. Maybe look at a CNC router?
I love your video. However, when I set the material that I want to cut, I tried to choose 1/8" Basswood, yet the only 2 available choices are 1/16" or 1/32". Could you please tell me how to fine 1/8" Basswood or how tell me how else I can cut this 1/8" Basswood using a different setting or some other option? I'd appreciate any assistance you may have. Sincerely, Wendy
The clearance on your Cricut machine is 2.4mm - 3/32" so unfortunatelt 1/8" is too thick for the machine to cut as it will not pass under the bar.
Hi Kelly- how many passes do you think you’d need for the Cricut basswood
Hi Megan! I havent tested it yet unfortunately
@@KellyRossouw sweet spot was 8 with a new blade :)
Which knife blade do I use with cricut explore 3?
You unfortunately cannot use the knife blade with the Explore machines
I've tried calibrating multiple times but the knife blade doesn't touch my mat. I can't figured out what I'm doing wrong. Is there a particular way to install the blade in the machine?
Are you sure your blade has been installed correctly? That there is no gap under the gear section?
If you are still having issues you may need to reach out to customer care as there may be an issue with your machine that only they can see
Can you use this knife blade with cricut air 2
Unfortunately not, Cricut Maker machines only.
That's terrible. I just found out 😔🫤
My maker wont detect blade, it is install correctly, I’m using a iPad
You can only use the Knife blade on a laptop or a computer unfortunately.
But it's scary!!!
😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
Seems like the knife blade is not really worth it.
It very much is worth it for those that need to cut thicker materials and dont have the budget for something like a laser!
