Long answer: Arrancars are born from reishi, they are, in a nutshell, a huge reishi block. When a hollow removes his mask he seals away his true form in a sword/weapon and get a soul evolution. Reiyoku (soul energy) is limited in hollows and the only ways they can get more reiyoku is by eating/consuming other souls. By removing the mask and sealing away the essence of their power, they become just like any other creature born in soul form and can age, hence getting a stronger soul and more reiyoku. Think about it like they become shinigami-like, which only get stronger, as they age. Arrancars have some abilities like hierro, sonido and pesquisa. They enhance their skin with spiritual energy and it becomes a natural armor which is very hard. This is a Hierro. They can explode the intensity of spiritual energy in their feet and move extremely fast. This is called a Sonido and it is an analogue of Shunpo. But, unlike Shunpo, since all of the spiritual energy manipulation happen within their body, it is not detectable by anyone. Pesquisa is Arrancar’s ability to detect Reiatsu. It is not clearly explained in the manga how it works, but it is implied that either hollows have this ability because they are hollows, or hollows have a separate organ in their body that works as a third eye, and is by far the best detection ability, able to pinpoint the exact location of anyone within as far as the whole seireitei.
Actually, we have no reason to believe that they age under normal circumstances. Sure, under some weird stuff like Respira they might age because respira does it quickly, but I don't see how arrancar can age since they are still hollows. Hollows represent stasis, the refusal to pass on, hollows aging is so against what they represent that I do not believe they do age naturally, not even arrancar. I do agree that they become shinigami-like, or it would be more correct to say that shinigami are plus souls that become arrancar-like, since arrancar can be born naturally from time to time even if its rare for a complete one to be formed, meanwhile shinigami need a special tool, the asauchi, to become shinigami. Ichigo is a pseudo exception to this, but Ichigo is in soul composition very very similar to an arrancar so he kind of was his own "asauchi" until he got a real one.

It would have been funny to see Nnoitora go after Hallibel. Personality-wise, she's actually a mix of Nel and Ichigo, but he'd get one shot at going after her. She doesn't want to fight, but she wouldn't hold back killing him if they got into one (and she would 100% win that fight).

Nnoitora is actually one of my favorite espadas haha, but I can't really go into the reasoning why until a bit later for obvious spoiler reasons. Yes, he's a horrible sexist monster, but he's actually quite nuanced and well written given the amount of screentime he gets. He's definitely a character that I think watchers can only really appreciate on second watch throughs of the series.

You're certainly not the first to have questions about Nel lol, first I'd say that for the most part "Nel" is the kid version and "Nelliel" is the adult version, at the very least I use that to differentiate between the two. Szayelaporro's powers are kinda OP, also theres lots of censorship in his scenes, I believe Uryu was spitting out blood. To answer your question about Hollows being born, both Hollows and Soul Reapers can reproduce, but I believe it's really uncommon. I was gonna get into the cycle of life/death, but there are some ideas that I can't really get into right yet due to spoilers, but the basics are... Humans die and either go to Soul Society or become Hollow When they go to the Soul Society they live their lives and age super slowly, don't need food/water, and basically don't die unless they're killed by some outside force like Illness or Hollows If they turn Hollow they will consume souls until they are killed by a Soul Reaper and then they and all the souls they consumed are sent to the Soul Society.

Chad finished his fight, they defeated 2 espada; fighting a 3rd, had szyael change clothes mid fight And Szyael has yet to defeat Renji and Uryu even though he had advantage whole fight. This is more telling of Szyael’s strength than it is Renji or Uryu.
Not really...villains have the long standing issue of playing with their food instead of eating it. Szyael knows there's absolutely nothing Ishida and Renji can do to him so he's toying with them far longer than any villain needs to for the sake of a drawn out plot twist.
There are original hollows, those who were never been humans. This was not in the anime or manga, but was in the databook... Ulquiorra was mentioned to be born naturally, and there were others like him, similar shaped.

I wasn't looking to argue or anything, I just thought it would be considerate on his part that he doesn't immediately assume her power level before being fully introduced to the character. And personally I don't think saying a character's full name before its spoken is a spoiler. He knew about Yoruichi's name before watching the show, but knew nothing past that, so the reveal in the show was left unaffected by prior knowledge.

You're certainly not the first to have questions about Nel lol, first I'd say that for the most part "Nel" is the kid version and "Nelliel" is the adult version, at the very least I use that to differentiate between the two.

To answer your question about Hollows being born, both Hollows and Soul Reapers can reproduce, but I believe it's really uncommon. I was gonna get into the cycle of life/death, but there are some ideas that I can't really get into right yet due to spoilers, but the basics are...
Humans die and either go to Soul Society or become Hollow
When they go to the Soul Society they live their lives and age super slowly, don't need food/water, and basically don't die unless they're killed by some outside force like Illness or Hollows
If they turn Hollow they will consume souls until they are killed by a Soul Reaper and then they and all the souls they consumed are sent to the Soul Society.

And Szyael has yet to defeat Renji and Uryu even though he had advantage whole fight. This is more telling of Szyael’s strength than it is Renji or Uryu.
Not really...villains have the long standing issue of playing with their food instead of eating it. Szyael knows there's absolutely nothing Ishida and Renji can do to him so he's toying with them far longer than any villain needs to for the sake of a drawn out plot twist.

The higher the hollow tier the more human they become (or revert to). It was explained way back before the soul society arc..
There are original hollows, those who were never been humans. This was not in the anime or manga, but was in the databook... Ulquiorra was mentioned to be born naturally, and there were others like him, similar shaped.
not others like him they were his siblings/blood related family. Hollows can have children so he was born has a vasto lorde and evolved into arrancar naturally.
