@@10418 Have you done artwork with a computer? A brush stroke is a brush stroke and doing digital art is just as trying and complicated as traditional art. When I first started doing digital art I had to learn how to draw all over again. A line with a computer can be so many different things. It's not always a clean cut "this is a line". Not only that but there are so many artists out there making digital art, putting their own spin on things. It's fine if you don't like digital art, but passing it off as less than traditional art is ignorant.
Have been a long time fan of Ping Zhu. Her brushwork is powerful, and I love seeing her different approaches to work. She captured the mood of Tampopo beautifully, one of my favorite films!
I watched "Tampopo" here at the Palm Springs International Film Festival 2 years ago and when the Criterion edition came was another gifted for me. But now getting to know the artist behind it's cover just added even more value. Love it!
I wish her work was featured in Criterion Designs. Beautiful and ingenious Tampopo cover design. Hopefully, Criterion will use her paper cutout designs for a film cover.

Weird Guy a line with a real brush is full of infinite and different strokes, a line with a computer is always the same pattern.
