As an artist I like to remember the phrase “Create to express, not impress.” Of course we want others to enjoy our art, but not everyone will and I never want to lose the delicious happiness of creating.
:)
In that way is better to treat art as a hobby
DreamingCatStudio just yesterday i watched a video about Picasso being filmed while drawing... you can imagine the comments mostly of them not even knowing that phrase
Impressionism has left the chat(???)
Juan Perez trump has a great many things to say, very plainly, and easy to understand unless you are complete idiot. You just don’t like his basic reinforcement of American ideas such as freedom, law and order, national borders, and the right to reach your highest potential without government interference or from political Marxists and other identity Democrat twits.
what im confused about is people saying this girl has no technical skill....when its obvious that she has mastered life drawing, a commitment to line (which is a lot harder than it looks), color theory, etc. and has developed a consistent and marketable aesthetic. as a painting major who tends to paint and draw realistically, realism isnt the only art style, guys. i really feel like people's perception of art is so plagued by "oh this person is able to make a perfect copy of this thing that exists in life. that means it's creative and good." and to be fair, hyperrealistic art can be artistic and meaningful, but a lot of the times, realism can be a debilitating crutch that doesn't allow you to actually create meaningful and creative concepts behind your work. so im really just begging yall, please expand your artistic horizons beyond fkn bob ross (love him tho
lanie true!!
Thank you for saying this.
so true! there are so many artists out there who have styles that are less conventional, but actually have very strong foundation in realism! for example, marc quinn, his sculptures are very unique (composition and medium wise), and his earlier paintings are incredible.
I don’t want to say anything on this
Exactly. I feel like the people saying that are just stuck on anime or pure realism 😐
She looks to have a peace of mind being engaged in something which is soothing for her.
@Carmen well i dont think so, maybe she is capable to take care of herself , have you seen her colab with gucci - she must have got a lot of money from that
Lovely to see her sketches and illustrations hung up on the wall. I'd much rather see those glimpses into expressive and spontaneous illustrations than one hyperrealistic oil painting that might as well be a printed out photo. Appreciating one style of art doen't mean it is the only valid one. Artists are not only "good " after they master hyperrealistic oil painting or whatever people assume to be the height of artistic abilities. A lot of times the biggest Part of an Artwork is the intention behind it. i'd encourage everyone who judges her artwork to spend a few weeks filling up sketchbooks and exploring work like this and see what you learn about it . just because you don't like something doesn't mean it's bad . ;)
I love this, I love the simplicity and the freedom. Sometimes it gets kind of... claustrophobic, in a way, to try to paint and draw in a realistic way or following all the anatomy rules. It's nice to go back to our early days of childhood when drawing was exciting, free and not stressing. Sometimes I find myself stressed over the perfect line and I stop enjoying the making process. This is beautiful.
I feel totally jealous and sad at the same time.. I love her innocent work.. and I don't know what stops me to paint everyday when I love it so much.. why don't I paint everyday.. why do I judge my own work and feel disappointed after creating something
because supplies are pricy. if it was all for free or if we were rich, wouldn't you think we'd draw freely? without feeling like you have to create something wonderful, otherwise its a waste?
Same!!! I overthink my context and think I don’t have the skill level so I don’t even try!
Simple... you are merely blocking yourself. Just start doing something, and don’t stop, just move on to the next, the next, the next etc, just stop stopping yourself. No more dreaming, just keep doing.
@@Manvir. Naaah, It's about self judgement and low self-esteem
Can feel you
Wow I love her art. It’s really beautiful and I love she captures humans
ppl dont know the difference between technical art and skill and other art movements. Not everything has to be lifelike to be considered good art.
Life like art is boring. If people want photo realism why not just take a photo. Plebs think skill = realism. Which is simply not true.
True. But, still, her art is poor, because she has no talent
J W while I agree with you, this is not skill. Ofc skill does not mean realism but this art just isn’t that great in general if I’m being honest with you bro. Also photographs don’t capture authentic light, even the best of cameras can’t that’s why life like painting is still even relevant, but I agree life like painting and drawing is boring
@@phunkface plebs ?
@@judemarino8914 what is not great for you is for others.
She clearly explains the reasons behind her art style, her fascination withe the sketches sculptors, painters, etc. make before moving onto to the final piece. Her style is really beautiful and captures that feeling of the initial idea and commits to that line in a really confident and intriguing way.
o how i love those people who don't care about art at all say: ''i could do that'', or ''my little sister makes better art''. Well maybe you can do that, or maybe your little sister does make ''better'' art. That doesn't matter at all, it's something that she loves to make, and is beautiful to her, and a lot of others. Some artists have immaculate technical skill and still choose to do simple line works and colors because it brings them joy. Art isn't just hyper realism, to be quite frank, a lot of people that are in the art world, respect abstract art way more then hyper realism. It shows you bring your own mind and put your own soul and heart in these works. Hyper realism is so impressive but basically just copying a photo. Don't waste your breath on that argument about how your little sister can do that. It doesn't impress the artist at all.
They say that but that can’t and they won’t “do that”. They’re just being negative.
I love the colours and the movement in her artwork. I am very fond of bright splashes of colour and not much muted tones so these are lovely. The line drawing of the lady she saw in the street was full of character and immediately made me wonder about who she is and her life. I love that she has taken the old school and turned into modern whimsical art. Art is about appreciating the beauty in all things, even if it doesn't seem to follow the rules of realism and art. It follows its own rules and lives in a world of its own.
I like her style of drawing with simple line. That could add into dress and design works 👗😍
Her wonderful illustrations give me a smile on my face! Through her talent she makes (a lot of ) people happy!
Love her loose and expressive lines. Something to aspire to.
Love her work, so colorful and cheerful , how good would having her work on the walls of your house!
i would love to browse through her sketchbooks... love how they're all lined up and dated on the shelves... dreamy little studio
I feel the energy of your art work and it’s inspiring. Love the power of color!
It's supremely edifying to see an artist that is not cocksure about they're being an artist, but rather a confidence in the vision, the discovery of new things. So many artists unfortunately have their reputation as part of the cult of personality rather than in the lost tradition of art as a window into the imagination and not a mirror reflecting one's ego.
Your artworks have so much character to them , they're amazing.
What a perfect harmony, Florence & London!! Inspirational!!
Seeing this woman making what I would qualify as naïve art (but art nonetheless) and being so confident about it really inspires me to pursue my own path. It's been decades that I want to draw, paint and even sculpt but I always thought I wasn't "good" and "talented" enough, when in fact the key seems to simply be finding your own style. Thank you for the lesson, Isabella.
do it
do it and let me know please so I can see your art, I'm sure it's going to be interesting
I like the way she capture the feeling and atmosphère and with no complicated brushstrokes the color and composition.the talent is always présent in her work.voilà l’artistique
Her art makes me smile so much
Beautiful art, freedom in frame! 🎨😍👏
insane & inspiring, I love her turtleneck and this made me feel lots better in regard to my personal sketchbooks
She inspires me so much! Her art is beautiful.
Beautiful art! Many blessings and gifts to you!
I love her style 💖
Isabella, your work is so spontaneous and gorgeous, thank you for sharing!!!!!!!!!!!
wow i love her art 😍
Wow, love the simplicity of her work!
Amazing drawings and art. Love your sketchbooks 💚👏
LOVE her art 😍😍😍
iincredible, her work and process is super inspiring
What's with all the bitterness in the comments. There's more to art than hyper-realism.
No, but realism requires a LOT more skill and talent. She's a one trick pony. Pass!
E. Lin She gets paid for making the art she wants to make, which is the goal of most artists. You can draw the most realistic drawing on earth, but that doesn’t mean someone is going pay you a lot of money for it.
@@e-cuauhtemoc "It took me 4 years to paint like a Rapheal but a lifetime to paint like a child" P. Picasso. People who leave comments like yours don't know anything about art.
@sillysighben mushroomz lmfao who do you think you are to say what's art and what isn't. Pure ego, and I bet you can't back it up.. Shitty artists have nothing but opinions
Perhaps because she’s obviously very privileged.
My favorite thing about her art is the more i look at it the more i like it
Love her style!
I just adore your pieces.
that artstyle is so refreshing to look at...
She's so amazing! 😍💖
Love the art!
She is very talented artist amazing artwork Isabella is a inspiration to me for my artwork
love your bold colors and style, and very energetic studio practice
i'm in love with her drawings
Loving the art discourse in this comment section lmao. But hey, i think her work is beautiful. She obviously has a strong understanding of the fundamentals underneath all of the lovely expression in her art!
No, thats the problem, she doesnt
Oedipus At Colonus yes I really think she actually does. Look at her drawings of people. Some of them are more abstract, yes, but others show clear attention to proportion and reality, a fundamental skill. She can draw faces from different angles while keeping them accurate, something that no one without knowledge of the fundamentals can do consistently. She also talks about her use of color and the video shows color schemes that she has arranged. Looking at her works you can see how the colors work together and are pleasing to the eyeballs :) don’t fret, you don’t personally have to like her art, that’s fine. BUT she isn’t as unskilled as many people in this comment section are saying.
@@scoobit she doesn't , she draw like a kid without any accuracy
@@bernardtapie1092 that's the goddamn point, genius.
@@carashellac406 Post your portfolio, I'd love to pick apart your work
stunning work
Very inspiring! Thank you!
Energy... so important, thanks, the ink sketches are great
Thank you for this great content, thank you Isabella for opening your studio and sharing your experience.
I really enjoy your approach to tracing lines, not to describe but to render a feeling, a movement, a moment. Also your work about the way colors interact with each other has inspired me a lot ! Studying the way artists play with colors, warm and cold, near or far from another has opened a new door for me !
Love it!!
Fantastic!
Her art is fantastic
Not sure why people are being so harsh. She actually has skill behind the illustrative style shes decided for herself. Her images are simple but they aren't as "naive" as people seem to think they are. Its clear that she has made stylistic choices. Not that she just makes messes and hopes for the best. The work in the video is pretty consistent and the characters are solid. It actually shows that she has figure and head drawing knowledge.
Shes an illustrator. Not a realist painter. I mean, you dont judge designs in a magazine or book by comparing it to an old masters painting.
Her style kinda remaind me to Egon Schiele
People are harsh because her work is expressive and free. It reminds them of how trapped they are.
Brilliant artist-- creatively and poetically inspiring.
Bruh how can she talk sm abt her art.. 😭 if I was in an interview like this and they’d ask me questions abt my art I’d just b like IDK I JUST DRAW 😿😿
maybe you should spend more time thinking about and understanding what you're doing as opposed to just doing
Love her interest in people!
inspiring loved it
She enjoys what she does and that is most important, she is comfortable with it and not everyone wants to spend days on rendering, she just draws, I love it.
Its certainly as me when I have a days when I just want to put marks on a paper, its liberating.
Her style is dope
Muito legal o trabalho dela. Adorei
Fantástico!!!
Parabéns
Amazing style!
Love her style
Great Channel House & Garden! ✨ 🙋🏻♀️🥰👌🏻
Really cool work, great colour and line work.
We have this mag in brazil too: we call it casa&jardim!
She is lovely ♥️
I am so in love with her
Here drawings are really expressive of having well connected parents.
Lol right
My new favorite channel ! :)
Thank You for your video.
Much appreciated and Interesting!!!
Lol, I bet the people that are making fun of her think that warhol and matisse are GeEniusS. Double standards smh
Exactly! I bet that if they were alive back then they'd hate their art and call it pretentious. People just loveee to hate
Warhol and Matisse were both groundbreaking artists. She is not. They also had excellent draughtsmanship. She does not. Your comment is idiotic and ill informed.
Maria I don’t think he’s particularly bitter I just think he’s stating a genuine point, the art that those 2 created were innovative because nobody had ever drawn art like that, she on the other hand is not innovative and is instead copying those styles which don’t get me wrong is not bad, and I like her a art a little but she’s not a genius
@@judemarino8914 she's an illustrator.

Love your videos
Qualquer pintura sua é uma obra.de.arte!
I LOVE THIS
Art isn't about whether it's "good" or not. It doesn't have to complex techniques or in-depth understanding of colour theory or any kind of background study involved.
It's really much more about appreciation and personal taste. There will always be art you love and art you don't.
What is art really? It's whatever people want it to be. Just because something is simple, it doesn't make it any less beautiful.
As long as the artist is happy with their work, nothing else matters really.
I really want to know what qualifications the critics in the comment section have to allow themselves to shit confidently on this girls' drawing style. She has an amazing understanding of color schemes and form, and it's apparant that she studied art academicly but eventually came up with the style she feels most comfortable in. And even if she didn't study art professionaly, what's wrong with that? What's wrong with people doing what they love and getting credit for it? Art is supposed to be fun and allow expressive freedom, not a gated community only for the artist that you consider "real artists". Get over yourselves, let people live.
I've been an artist fulltime for 30 years. Have exhibited at many of the worlds top galleries museums and festivals including Art Basel, documenta, and the Venice biennale. You are completely wrong. This girl seems nice but she doesn't have talent.
i want her to make coffee mug with her art on it and publish smol art books by theme😍so cute!!!!!
I mean, the technical skill and expression are on point, so neither I nor anyone else should blast her for that. But it's also okay not to like her art. I think she brings out the child inside of her by creating these strokes with only expression in mind. I forget, but a great artist once said we musn't lose this child we all have inside in the expectations of society... Anyways, like it or not, she does excellent works of art.
The old lady she draw with a dog was really fun. (◕ˇ ◕✿) Greeting from Toronto
another level of art... big love from indonesia ☕️👍
Great Work.
So neat... but natural!
Surrealist genre painter. It gives a very comfy feeling.
Lovely
Very nice, actually. You're awesome Isa,
Wow 😮😯
Oh God, her art is so fragile, full of tenderness.
So shaky.
Has she painted those black and white illustrations using acrylic? I love how simple the brush strokes come out!!!
I like her easy free style

Amazing
A Positiv Experience. Like.😃
I love her art so much 😍 the use of color and her drawing style are just very inspirational
I love her
So classy. 🔥
I think it's weird how so many people are negative in the comments. I just came across this video and i already knew her from her instagram and i've always really liked her drawings. It's the simplicity and quickness that stands out, with just a couple lines and colors she makes a really strong impression of her daily life and daily situations. Even tho it's not realism (wich I'm personally not really a fan of) you know exactly wat she drew.
Wow! :)
Wooww very nice
I don't know who she is but I love her.
