    You are LIVING THE DREAM! The 5.29 gear will make the Gladiator some much more happier and when your tires wear out you go go with 38". A couple more years and I will have a 4 day weekend every week, so I can't wait to be able to travel and Overland, rock crawl, trail ride to my hearts content. I work a a new car dealership so I test drive every Gladiator we get excessively and other than the Rubicons having that bouncy feeling in the rear (Fox Shocks) when you hit a bump I am sold. Keep those videos coming!!

    Hi Matt. Love the build. I have a similar build on my JT (different tent, full height Rebel Off Road rack, Decked system are the big differences). One thing I added that made a huge improvement was to add a Hellwig sway bar. It eliminated body roll due to the added weight, especially up high, in the back. Wasn't so much a problem on the trail as it was driving on winding roads at speed.

    Fantastic video Matt. For what I do here in New England, I think the Gladiator may be a little too long in wheelbase. Also, I'm not a big fan of having everything open and exposed to dirt, dust, etc, and I really don't want to go the truck cap route.
    However, if I was going to travel the country and overland, I think the Gladiator would be perfect. Especially towing a turtleback or patriot trailer behind it.

    The Gladiator would be among my absolute top choices for wheeling & ventures. Depends on the destination & terrain. My wife has a Ford F-150 & I like that truck for long hauls (e.g. cross-country), while a Jeep Wrangler or Gladiator is a better choice IMO for trails, running the dunes (like Pismo Beach), & weekend runs to Tahoe National Forest. Jeep & Ford for me 👍🏻🇺🇸.

    Good video! I was curious about your gearing after all your changes, I was thinking the 4:10 weren’t quite enough. The 5:29 should definitely help it out, with the milage and power despite most likely high rpms. We just bought a 2021 Rubicon, definitely surprising how much better they are in some ways than our 2017 rubicon.

    I liked you walk around review of your rig. Brought a question to mind.
    I like the lift kit that you went with and I think I may do the same. I have about the same kind of set up on my Gladiator.
    You mentioned rehearing.
    I am also contemplating going ahead an rehear mine too. I plan to tow a camper trailer that’s about a 5500 lbs fully loaded. I am not sure if I should go with 4:88 or 5:13 or something else. I really want to get the best towing experience out of that little penastar v6. The question to you would be. What would you choose and why?
    Please keep putting out good content and enjoy every moment. From South Florida. The FLAT HUMMID, HOT and Gators as pets State. It’s actually nice here, if you like the tropics.
    Regards.
    Noel

    Wow, really love ur build. Was thinking of upgrading to a gladiator, but i just herd about the "death wobble" and "frozen backup camera" issue. If i was to run a stock tire setup, could i still put a bunch of weight, like a rack and rooftop tent? And could death wobbles still happen to stock jeeps?

    • @OzarkOverlandAdventures
      @OzarkOverlandAdventures  2 года назад +1

      Deathwobble is possible on any rig with a solid front axle and typically is a result of worn out front end components. I had the beginning signs of it on mine just recently from a worn out ball joint which has now been resolved. Never had an issue with my backup camera. You should be fine with a rack and tent setup on the stock suspension.

    Hey mate - great video, lovely rig. My only question is regarding your interior Fire Extinguisher placement. It seems to be close to/in the way of a rear passenger's heard - have you noticed that and or is there a safety concern with it being so close to a passengers head in the case of an accident? Just wondering, thanks again!

  • @anthonygendron9737

    I'm surprised you like the milestars with all of the mud you run through. I have been using them 38x13.5x17s and will say they are fantastic for rock crawling and sand, however once they are at 50% tread they slip a lot with mud and mud stays stuck in them. I have found 13-14psi helps but out east it is tough.
