Dude that thing read that SD card INSTANTLY. He is hating on this but it's louder than the sexy speaker and survived the 9000 thing and was the size of the box with no wasted plastic. This thing is a gem.
Mr. Dank, I am a proud owner of a very similar chinesium speaker design, albeit in a different tube-style chassis. Same clunky controls and everything. But mine shouts out the iconic "Ze blutooth dewise is ledy to pell" every time I turn it on. Full volume I might add and you can't change that. Every time you change mode it shouts out something like "LINE IN!" for aux or "FM TURNER!" for radio. It beeps a high pitch noise at almost a 97dB every time volume is maxed out or lowered all the way down. Oh, and it actually has aux in, 3,5mm. Suffice to say, my nugget wins. Gods, if It didn't cost me literally a single $ on a yard sale and wasn't intended as a noise generator for my homemade gym I would have exploded it with carbide on my back porch.
I gifted similar one to my father. It also got that stupid aux in and aux out for some reason. Special cable for it was in a box and it's so flimsy that it could break by looking at it wrong. Of course it had wrongly advertised battery capacity (3000mAh vs 1200 that was actually inside), but when it not longer worked for more than a few minutes, i just put battery that was too bad for a phone and it works, as long as new.
Seems to be an industry standard. I have seperate BT headsets where an Asian lady will scream "POWER ON..... CONNECTED!" at 500% max volume (regardless of volume set) Naive me wore them while turning them on.

They’re RGB LED’s with a chip inside that makes them flash each color combination. Each one runs at a slightly different pace due to lax manufacturing standards so eventually they get out of sync

I have two of those jobsite speakers, and they're the *exact same controller* with the same tacky lights (it's just going around the speaker's cone instead of firing at you) and *one massive driver.* Usually, a short life on the market like that means that it's either junk to quickly sell-through (not like 'close to expiry food' quick, mind) or a cottage product.

@@bobsmith5088 That sounds a little more reasonable. I'm wondering if volume plays a significant factor. Technically, you could play music at the lowest level, maybe one watt, and have 130 minutes of playtime. That's closer to three hours.
