    After doing some testing of my own with many different cars I found that just adding some toe in on the rear can make a huge difference to the stability of the car without changing tires. Center diff tuning is also a very good option to look into like you said. If that still doesn't work then absolutely the tires need to be changed

    Kimberly ist first in the Comments 😘 Your rig also sounds too loud from the Pinion and Spur... I wonder if the module is really the same? Lovely to see a new Video from you up. 😘

      It's the plastic of the spur. I'm working on throwing a spool in mine after work today, let ya know if it changes. The tires aren't really good at all. I know that much. Look okay but when you feel them they are too soft and rubber just isn't hard

    Gday Vas. I'm one of the top rc drivers in Aus and can provide some input. Thin up your centre diff, Thin your rear rear diff (will increase off power rotation but less snappy on power) Thin the front diff (less front end drive out of corners) It's hard without having the car in person but shocks wise I would either stiffen or soften the rear spring. Sometimes a stiffer spring will give more grip as it puts more pressure on the tire, however because you would have limited grip in a carpark, I'd soften the rear spring as you will be able to load the rear more. The front spring you could perhaps go softer (will have less steering initially but more through the corner) Or harder (more initial steering but less mid corner) I would also decrease rear downtravel by 1 to 1.5mm , will decrease weight transfer to the front and balance the car out. Rear toe wil give more forward grip but be careful, too much can make the car erratic. Overall the car is way out of balance.

    Ah Vas I see what you mean. Looks like it will need a bit of a tuning. I'm thinking diffs, suspension and maybe even tires. Sway bars would have been nice. AVC would not hurt either. I did not get a chance to get mine out yet but looks like it's going to be a fun one for sure😊

    • @AussieRCPlayground
      @AussieRCPlayground  2 года назад

      Yup, this is what I meant. And this is why I only drove it on 3S to start with. You can imagine how much harder it would be to drive had I jumped straight into 4S. It's a quick car, perhaps even a bit under geared, but it needs a tune.

    I'm thinking the 6s Typhon wheels! They're one of my favorite on-road Wheels but I throw them on my 3s Typhon. Once the Kitar's becomes slicks they grip really well on Road. Of course there's also the Hoons!

    I tried normal Wheels on the TM, exactly the same result. Consider the following sir, drifting requires major wheel spin and high rev’s, with the weight distribution sorted. Look at the Felony, motor, esc and servo in the front. 2 battery’s in the middle. The primary reason for this, is to relate with actual cars, motors in front. Look at the MAV layout compared with the FEL. Plus they promote as a race truck, their focus may have been focused on racing aspect rather than drift.

    It seems like the belted tyres are too hard compound for this vehicle. Maybe on better surface on a hot day on 4S the tyres might fair better as well as last a long time. This vehicle is much lighter then other true 1/8 scale GT vehicles so my guess it the tyres aren't getting up to temp.

    • @williamperri3437
      @williamperri3437 2 года назад

      6s Kitar's from the Typhon kill it on-road once they wear down to slick. I put them on my 3s Typhon and a hobbywing set up lowered with upgraded shocks and the thing is INSANE on road. Drifts just enough around turns and smokes almost every other car I race. I've been meaning to widen the stance and turn it into a mini Talion but haven't done it yet.

      55kph on 3S and 75kph on 4S is slow? In what world is that slow? Especially when you consider the price... 😳 Sure, more is always welcome, but not everything release in the RC world has to break the sound barrier to be enjoyable. It's also about balance and usability, not just speed. TBH, on 3S, this car will satisfy a lot of people, especially those fairly new to the hobby or those that don't want to spend the big bucks on the ARRMA cars. Maybe it's "too slow" for you, but I wouldn't imply that's it's slow in the general cense.

      Damn. That’s sucks. I’m hoping to lower mine a bit and maybe strapping a spare motor to the back and gaining that extra weight. That’s what I’ve had to do before. But I think it was also quite dusty there as u claimed. JayTee RCs channel shows him driving it without any problems besides the loud gear mesh…
