And OMG, I have spent so much time explaining the science of not washing and spread of bacteria to Asians. It seems East Asians have no understanding of UK and Eu animal husbandry and cold chain process. Having worked in Asia, the rules here are stringent and reliable.
I am so glad you mentioned 安全生產環境, you can buy a whole fresh chicken for £3 at most supermarkets. Poor chicken was born and raised in a barn, never been outside. On the other hand, free range chicken is about £10 each. I can't tell people what to do but maybe we can spare a thought on animal welfare.

@@BackpaCooking Good question!! Well, I live in Vancouver and I am pretty sure our authentic cuisines (Korean/Japanese/French/Italian/Chinese) probably cost a lot less than in UK?? On average, not including liquor, avg. cost per person would be around CAD$25-35 for really decent meals!! As for fine dining... maybe CAD$75-100 for each person including a couple glasses of wine!! I haven't been back to HK for years and I am 100% sure we have better value when it comes to fancy dineouts!!

I have once tried an Irish man's potatoes, and he cooked it SO well ! I almost fell off my chair. Just sea salt, and nice young jersey royal potatoes. (With hot butter, which is basically cream.)

煎牛扒都係我第一樣學懂煮的菜式,既容易又好好味,當自己求其煮都好食過餐廳出品既時候,好有成功感。相比起生產地,我覺得新鮮更重要。新鮮牛扒怎樣煮都好好味,但雪多兩日無論味道同口感都差好遠,又容易有渣。喺香港無論買到幾靚既牛扒,都總係唔及外地新鮮既平價牛扒,可能就係因為香港牛扒全部都係外地運過來,新鮮極都有限。

細嗰跟阿媽去街市買餸,啲肉販在路邊衛生欠佳。夏天仲有蒼蠅盤旋搵食,所以阿媽買咗返黎既肉都會洗吓。依家現代的肉類處理手法衛生好多,除了有皮既雞肉有好多老泥我會洗之外,其他都唔洗直接處理。

你好呀!多謝你留言~ 肥牛通常係牛腩 beef brisket、牛肩脊 beef chunk。英國超級市場一般無打邊爐肥牛賣,高級啲可以買一條牛柳肉 Fillet 手切滑牛,喺英國買都唔會太貴,十鎊左右應該都夠一餐打邊爐。又或者可以試吓去鮮肉檔買牛肩 beef chunk / flat iron 回家手切。磨利刀最重要 😄💪🏻
