I wanted to see the BTS of the entire trip, ignore what Kyle says he's filming the trip your doing all the interesting bits behind the scenes which I like to see. I was disappointed when it ended so early. Please next time Dave just continue the filming as yours is a different perspective and just as interesting as the main video that Kyle would be filming. And fantastic to see you're almost at 20k subs on your channel I see!! 😊

Good stuff Dave. I think you could still have filmed some clips whilst at charging stops without taking anything away from Kyle’s channel.
Fun race to watch. No doubt Tom would arrive many hours after Dave if most of the charging was during daylight hours when EA & other stations are full. Let’s give Tom credit for bringing that amazing pizza oven that had minimal impact on range.

Hey @outofspecdave you should have just kept recording. Your BTS would have been interesting and we all would have appreciated it before Kyle’s video went up. We wish you had a video in addition to Tom’s.
Remember, the problem isn't the location of the charge port, the problem is that tesla cables are too short for the real world.
Love that you guys were right up the road from me in Parsippany, NJ! It's an interesting charging spot there with the Wawa and Tesla + EvGo. They originally had Tesla v2s there, then added the EVGo, then added a few v3s. It wasn't showing as an option with a non-Tesla EV as a result of not being 100% v3 before. Did you have any issues there?

35 seconds in, Dave issues a manly challenge. 38 seconds in, Dave reveals he has just purchased a Pinkety Drinkety. Mixed signals bro.
A third Lightning that could use either CCS1 or Tesla would have made the test complete.
Because you can't use V2 Superchargers on the Ford, that limitation removes the Supercharger only advantage for Kyle & Dave, not to mention the current cable length issue that might slow down stall availability. The way it becomes an advantage is that you have the CCS network as well as the V3 Superchargers. Opening up more options in the real world is the real advantage to consumers. All that being said, I don't see Kyle & Dave winning with these rules. In a few years this may be completely different. Although I give this edge to Tom, slightly, I actually hope I'm wrong.

O man you guys were right by my house 😀😃🙂 The reason people dont charge at ccs is 60 cents per kwh vs 42 cents at peak or 27 11pm-4am what City does Tom live in?
I came to see an Out of Spec Dave and ended up watching a commercial for 30% of the time? Seriously an over priced inflator? Must be good margins.
Or maybe they have Teslas like my October 2021 Model Y and they don’t have hardware for CCS, and Tesla has refused every attempt to schedule update to CCS update saying Tesla isn’t offering upgrades on Model 3/Y.
