I’ve been using it for a couple months and it’s done great. Reached an all time best of 167kWh peak with my SR Lightning. For folks who may be waiting until June - Oct it’s a good option.
I couldn’t wait for the free one. In a month I have to carry my camper from Tahoe to Flagstaff AZ. The options for charging are now greatly enhanced. Nice video!
Thanks for the video. Receive mine today add can’t wait to test it this weekend! I’m just going to plan to carry my IR thermometer I use for grilling with me in my car to spot check the temperature of the adapter periodically.
Thank you for these details. We haven’t started taking long trips with our 2024 EQE 350 SUV yet. Hopefully, MB will supply it soon. They were supposed to include it originally. Also, now there some Tesla super chargers where it already has our type adapter to use with non-tesla vehicles.
There is for NACS destination chargers (but it is not the one shown in this video; it is a NACS to J-1772 adapter). I am not sure Bolt's will have access to Superchargers when GM comes on board with Tesla later this year
Thanks for watching. I'm glad I got one for my upcoming trip, but if i didn't have that coming up I think I would just wait until the Ford provided one shows up.
i have never heard Rivian pronounced with an O. Rivion sounds so odd...LOL You certainly were getting derated speeds on the Lightning, very likely due to thermals, as I have seen plenty of lightnings use this adapter and charge at 150kw. Cheers!
@@EHermes I’m glad you did not have issues but I have tested them on multiple Tesla chargers. I pick up a Tesla adapter and my first time charged went without getting any errors. Open the Tesla app, select the location and charger, connect the charger into the adapter and plugged it in my r1t. It kick in and charged without any problems.
I don’t think Audi is going to send me one for free, so I ordered an A2Z as soon as I got the multi-month estimate from Ford, to get in before the rush on A2Z. I’ve had it for a few weeks and will continue to use it until I get my adapter from Ford. When Audi gets access to the superchargers next year, I’ll already have an adapter for it.
I like this A2Z J3400 adapter, and will likely purchase one… IF my Hyundai is ever given the authorization and software to plug in at Superchargers. Since E'loon has FIRED the Supercharger team, I am willing to wager that those plans have now been delayed -if not betrayed completely. Frankly, I'm starting to think that automakers should just decide to stick with CCS1, and the SEC needs to dictate to Tesla that they have to switch out their Superchargers to use it with with longer cables -just like happened in Europe with the CCS2. Yes, CCS plugs are more cumbersome than NACS, but they work just fine, and I opine that E'loon doesn't deserve the charging profits at this point.
You know you can trust a channel that uses a clickbait thumbnail. Which reminded me why I block RUclips expert channels, like this one. Hope this comment helps your algorithm.
@@EHermes "clickbait thumbnail" why waste time here, after seeing that disqualifier of reputability? Especially when there are much more reputable experienced channels to choose from? And thank you for your permission, for me, to do what I want....
@@EHermes Just noticed the thumbnail clickbait disclaimer... SMH.. Just A Thought how about just give your take on it in the future??? And stop worrying about trying to please the algorithm... But do what you want.

Spend some money on a new screen protector on your phone.😮

Thanks, if you need it get it.
I bought an a2z adapter, i used it for over 2800 miles round trip from Minnesota to NYC and back

I’ve used it often on my current trip and it has worked flawlessly every time (once I remember to slide the latch in the bottom)

Good video and back to back experiment on the same adapter.
Is there a nacs charger to ccs car adapter, that works at all nacs chargers? I have a 2023 Chevy Bolt EV CCS. Thank you.
I don't think the Bolt will be able to charge at Tesla Superchargers when GM goes online.

This adaptor is super high quality and is made by a very high quality company.
The claim people are saying that the adapter is going to overheat the battery has no merit.
Very unlikely to damage battery. But, might the car companies try to get out of a warranty claim?

Unless they can actually prove it, they have to cover it.
I have used third party chargers and error my rivian out every time. Not something recommended.
I have used both the A2Z and Lectron and never had a problem.

None of the adapters are “liquid cooled”

A2z products are great. Well made and certified. This guy's farting up the wrong tree
The thumbnail is provocative but the video is very balanced.
You def need a new phone screen protector 😂 I know, nosy haha
