Looks very good .. Im going to try your version .. keep up the good work
Hello again, Enny. I have a question about the dried prawns. Do you remove the heads, tails and part of the shell prior to cooking with them? I do that, despite it being time-consuming, out of a concern that if I don't, the food will have an undesirable taste. However, I use ground prawns fairly often in my cooking and I doubt that such extra precautions are taken prior to grinding the prawns. What's your take on this issue? Thanks!
Hi Jacqueline, in this particular video i did not remove the heads or tails on the prawns and it did not affect the taste whatsoever. Yes it can be time consuming but i skip this step. I personally don't think theres anything wrong with the heads and it did doesn't give the stew an undesirable taste but I know some people do not like cray fish heads and prawn heads so they take it off. You are right I really doubt they remove cray fish head before grounding. hope this helps.
Enny, thanks for your response. I'll give it a try!
lovely 😂😂😂
Did you boil the pepper mixture before sieving?
No I didn't 😊
I love this food
Nice but did u add tomatoes or is just pepper???
No tomatoes :)
Did you bleach the oil?
Secondly is there another name for the red bell pepper and can I get it in Nigeria market
Hi, no I didn't not bleach the oil. I just let it get really hot. The bell pepper is the same as tatashe at the market in Nigeria. Hope this helps 😊
JustEnny Thanks
Yummy
Pls did you remove the seeds from your bell peppers?
No
delicious
Thank you :)
I love this recipe but roughly how much palm oil did u use?
+Shekinah 46 thank you. Glad you love it. I used 1 and half cup of Palm oil in this recipe
Enny's Cravings thanks so much for the reply x
Aweh mah!!! Too much oil!!!
Yum 😍😍😍
I 😍
You didn’t bleach the oil?
I dont bleach the oil when im making this but you bleach it if you want
What’s the music in the background
I wanna eat this so bad😩😩😩
Did you fry your meat?
Yes
I thought that green peppers and no tomatoes are used in cooking ofada stew?
With the ball pepper u can use green or red ball ..but tomatoes is a no no
Oily but good
yummy
Nice one pls can i use blender and den sieve d water off
+mohan yewande hi, yes you can. Blender works perfectly too
Is all that oil necessary? I feel like I can't take all that
+Missy Wangui it's not necessary :) Reduce the oil according to your own preference.
She made this sauce according to her own Personal Preference. You should make yours according to your own preference, infact you can decide not to use oil at all😁 its that good
Wow!!! Nice.
can i use vegetable oil instead of palm oil?
+ikeoluwa komolafe hi, yes you can. The taste will be different but it will still be nice.
Please what did you use to grind it please?
+qwin temia hello, I used a Kenwood food processor which works perfectly. But u can still achieve the texture with a blender.
thanks for the video,is there no tomatoes in the recipe?
Hi, no just lots of bell peppers
👍👍
after you add the onion what was the next one?
+babygirl j.j locust beans. But it's optional :)
ok thanks
Thanks
Those smoked prawns are dangerous o. The whiskers are painful when it chokes u.
Is 🍅 needed??
+Juliet Osunbor hey not at all. It's better without 🍅
Please can someone prepare this without locust beans
Yes you can. Locust beans is optional
@@justenny6317 Is there another bean that you could supplement that you would recommend?? Pigeon? lentils?
Is ofada stew the same as ayamase stew?
Ayamase you only use ball green peppers
looks so good
+InHisimage thanks alot :)
Or can someone prepare this with grandnut oil
I suppose so. Ive never tried it though
am concerned abt the oil it looks much
BossyMiss the oil is not even enough. The way and manner it is cooked, you have to add more oil to it.
You can reduce the oil, I did and still turned out great!
Music..***
No tomatoes
You may add if u so desire...say one or two..however, it's more of a pepper stew, but some people add one or two tomatoes..It's all about preference.
I pray my brother loves and marries a beautiful, God loving Nigerian girl who is well versed in her people's way of cooking and that we will be good friends and I will get invited over for supper every so often! Amen!
Lol
Beautifully executed, but your designer stew looks too fine. I like it to look ugly small.
TheFinemocha 😂😂😂😂
👍🏾
U can make ofada with red pepper 🙄🙄🙄😬that’s stew
I am also surprised oooo. I thought it is made with unripe peppers cause am also a chef
That’s green stew not normal pepper stew 👌that’s my village stew 👌👌
