    I'm a simple man, I don't care about a Ferrari, Lambo or McLaren nor do I care about exotics like Koenigsegg or Pagani. Just gimme this new GT3, deep black with plain silver rims and i'm more than happy :-) No matter what, Porsche will always be king for me!

    Porsche thanks for returning to manual gearboxes as an option. Finally an automaker that understands there is more to cars then lap times 👍👍

    4 liters, 6 cylinders, 493 hp, NA, 9000 rpm
    Some people at ///M must feel sad :p

      What has M to do with GT porsches

    • @mro9466
      @mro9466 7 лет назад +29

      BMW ///M made some of the greatest NA engines (M88/S38, S62, S85, S65, S50, S54).
      They make cool turbo engines now, but i'm sure, if they could, they would go back to big NA engines with high RPM.
      It used to be the ///M trademark.

      Then put a 4 liter flat 12 that revs to 9K :D

      @TheChannel1978 7 лет назад +5

      Showing off? PDK is for track use or for those who commute a lot. I like a Manual myself but if I was serious about lap times there wouldn't be a question what to go for

    • @w-james9277
      @w-james9277 7 лет назад +7

      Manual gearbox? Check
      Rear-wheel drive? Check
      power levels over 9000! ? Check
      I got nothing, this car is perfect. Although she's too fast for hooning on regular roads, you have to use the track to stretch her legs.

      Rear engine? Electric steering? Rear wheel steering? Strut suspension? Plastic body parts? Oh and the fact that you won't be able to buy one without paying some already rich bloke a massive premium! Engine sounds potentially like one for the ages though. Would rather it was in the middle like Porsche's GT racers.

    • @mrwicksy
      @mrwicksy 7 лет назад +5

      Why won't you be able to buy one? It's not Limited Edition, Porsche have already said that they'll build as many as they can sell.

    • @Franzino
      @Franzino 7 лет назад +1

      mrwicksy getting a 991.2 GT3 RS was not so easy in some countries....production levels was not that high.

    • @DrPittenstein
      @DrPittenstein 7 лет назад +1

      Phone your Porsche dealer. They were sold out months ago. Production is limited by capacity. They can't make more than 4000 cars a year so all of this year's allocation is gone. Porsche's preferred customers get first refusal starting with 918 customers (that was the deal at the time, Porsche were worried they wouldn't sell them all so came up with a get richer quick scheme). All the cars will be flipped for more money so they will all say yes. Real enthusiasts have to pay premiums. Good luck if you can get one, you'll have a great car and make money too.

    This new manual option GT3 with its 4.0l engine that revs to 9000 (something the GT3 RS does not do), Porsche has made both the GT3 RS and 911 R redundant. I love it!😎

      Nic Greig different cars. The 911R is more mechanical, analog, than this. And limited unlike this.

    • @cristiandemirel1918
      @cristiandemirel1918 7 лет назад +22

      i would ask you "how is a 911 R more mechanical and analog than this?", but i already know you can't answer that because it was a silly argument in the first place. the 911 R is a marketing stunt, an accountant's dream: less car, for more money.

    • @TechPanzer
      @TechPanzer 7 лет назад

      I'd say a lot less downforce, sound deadening wise... maybe? The unreachable redline is definitely a plus lol
      I think when they say analog they mean like an old car, the immersion, the sound experience, the overall feel is probably different. And because it's limited it becomes different. It's like comparing a GT3RS to a Cayman GTS, doesn't make much sense, right?

    Mr. Preuninger shows how good marketing for a new product replacing an already great product ("old" GT3s) is done and makes a great statement showing and convincibly "selling" the passion for engineering that must be a core value to the entire brand with his focus on technical insights he gives us here. It s this very approach that makes the brand as a whole or the entire 911 series so desirable.

    Great Video Henry, great to Andreas and his comments on the 911R are very telling - and heart felt. You can tell, to him and the engineers, it was a special car where they were 'allowed' to build the car THEY wanted.
    This GT3 looks great thought, would be fun to play with the PTS choices on the body and the accent pieces like the rear intakes and end-plates.

    It's very very rare I see a car that I wouldn't change a single thing about. They have absolutely nailed the new GT3. I hope Porsche can set an example for other manufacturers and get them back on track with engineering and platforms for those that love to drive and not just talk numbers.

    "If you want a car for track use and go every other weekend, ah, fight to fight the stopwatch at your local track - go for PDK, definitely. If you use the car maybe not on track but as a daily commuter, going through traffic; take the PDK. But, if you want a drivers car, a fun car - take the manual". Love it :-)

    Ever since they introduced the side air intake on the turbo s and the front fender grills on the RS, I just can't imagine any future 911 models without one of those two

    I was lucky enough to find one of these and ask the owner to review it up, and it sounds just as good as I imagined

    One of the most given advice by successful people is to "Do What You Love and success will follow"....
    Exhibit A! Mr Andreas Preuninger.....you can see his love and passion bursting out from his heart when he talks about his cars.....which are otherworldly amazing.
    Makes me believe that peice of advice =)

    Mr. Preuninger, thanks for an exciting presentation, as always. Will the RS version also be available with a manual gearbox?
