My pleasure! Knowing where common mistakes take place will help you to avoid them. I've just started a new series with the aim of making students aware of most common mistakes and how to correct them. You will find the first lesson here: ruclips.net/video/IBqIQUSON4w/видео.html
+Abdulrahman Yusuf *You are great. The best teacher I've ever met. I've been studying English for one year. Now it's finally clear to me. Sorry, couldn't help it. But now sounds better. ;)
Thanks for explaining clear like this. I always watch your videos and enjoy doing it. It's has been helping me a lot since I started english. God bless you!
Yes, both are correct, with a slight difference in connotation: She is working this week. >>> all of this week She has been working this week. >>> until now this week
Hi Minno! I've watched this vídeo and after that I could understand the difference between the Present Perfect Continuous and the Present Continuous! Now I know how to use it. Thank You Very Much!
I was listening to you with relish when I heard a question "what should we say? " then I unconsciously answered as if I was in a real class, and you said "correct" after the video had finished I recognized that I was just watching, and to be sure I replayed it again. Thank you for your appreciated efforts.
I have been studying in the university since 2016. I have been studying German for 12 weeks. I have been waiting for my girlfriend for 30 minutes. I have been writing my report since I woke up. My mother have been talking to me for 10 minutes. We have been talking on phone since 12 o'clock. It has been raining since afternoon.
Hi Minoo. Thank you for your amazing videos. Could you please tell which of two following sentences is correct and why? My sister's in Australia at the moment. She's having a great time there. OR My sister's in Australia at the moment. She's been having a great time there.
As the time frame 'at the moment' is mentioned in the previous sentence, you should use the Present Continuous: 'She's having a great time.' If the previous sentence was: 'My sister's been in Australia for a while.', then the best tense to follow would be the PPC: 'She's been having a great time.'
I was trying to learn this since long time 5+ year ,but after watching this 9 minute video ,I have now clear concept of Present perfect tense .You have magic .God bless you.
It's the most clear video about PPC I've ever seen. Now, I'm moving to the difference between PP and PPC... This topic has been my nightmare since I was a child, I have never understood it.
You should always learn vocabulary in context. Avoid learning lists of words with their translations into your mother tongue. One way of expanding your vocabulary is watching RUclips Clips on subjects that interest you. Watch the clip several times, and write down the interesting phrases that you hear, and then memorise them. You can also read texts on your chosen subjects, but then make sure you check and practise the pronunciation of the new words using an online dictionary.

This is a great series, i try to have all my students use this as an excellent supplement to their normal class activities, particularly with the subtitles on as it allows them to hear clearly the way the words are pronounced. My best wishes to the presenter a job very well done. Bruce
'I have been working hard all day.' indicates that you are still working. 'I have worked hard all day.' indicates that the day continues but you have now stopped working.
definitely your videos are all very useful I have been watching them for a long time until now and because of that I'm getting better at speaking but sometimes I'm not very good at listening but I do my best. Thank you a lot.
Cooool !!! Finally, I understand the reason why most native speakers use the present simple when they say "I've lived here for 20 years." instead of "I've been living here for 20 years." Great, thank you.
Great work !!! I hope that all teachers watch these videos to learn how to teach their students and give them the informations in the simple way thank you so much and good luck in your life
Joao Vidarte You're welcome. I'm glad my lessons have been helpful to you. The easiest place to find all my lessons and other practice materials is on my website www.anglo-link.com under 'Video Lessons' and 'Exercises'.
Yes, it is grammatically correct. However, as the 'Gerund' after a 'Continuous Tense' sounds rather heavy, you can switch the tense to Present Perfect Simple: 'I have really enjoyed being a father since last year.' The idea of continuity is implicit.
You will find the answer to your question in my video on 'State Verbs'. To recap: 'work' can be considered both as an action verb and a state verb. If you treat it as an action verb, you can use the PPC, but if you treat it as a state verb, you can't and end up with the PP: 'I've worked' instead of 'I've been working'. Therefore both sentences are correct.
it''s 2016!!! and i regret not being able to find your videos long back! as they say it's never too late.......i am extremely thankful for the guidance you provide. it just makes grammar easy easier and easiest with passing time! i am preparing for my entrances and up till now i was confused about the usage of tenses! once again thank you so much! Both are correct with a slight different meaning:
I am drinking tea (NOW).
I have been drinking tea (FOR SOME TIME UNTIL NOW.)
I appreciate your teaching style.thanks more
The segment where the correct usage is explained pointing out the common mistakes makes this video the most helpful

Yes, 'for' can be used in the Present, Past of Future Tenses. The word 'since' is generally only used with Present Perfect Continuous.

I love the way you teach Mam and you always keep viewer's attention......stay happy

Yes, both are correct, with a slight difference in connotation:

Careful: My mother HAS ...
We have been talking on phone or on the phone ,thanks.
My mother has been talking to me for 10 minutes.

Yes, you are right. There is a mistake in that sentence. It should be: 'You have been playing.' Thank you for pointing it out.

As the time frame 'at the moment' is mentioned in the previous sentence, you should use the Present Continuous: 'She's having a great time.'
If the previous sentence was: 'My sister's been in Australia for a while.', then the best tense to follow would be the PPC: 'She's been having a great time.'

Yes, it is grammatically correct. However, as the 'Gerund' after a 'Continuous Tense' sounds rather heavy, you can switch the tense to Present Perfect Simple: 'I have really enjoyed being a father since last year.' The idea of continuity is implicit.
Yes, if the action has just stopped and we can see the result (wet ground or stained hands), you can also use the Present Perfect Continuous.

This is to make sure that you know that in English the singular and the plural 'you' are the same word:
You + You = You
