What does A24 stand for & mean ?
It’s a media company that was involved in many good movies and they also do a lot of experimental stuff apparently.
The posters are fanmade, not official, they always do that on IMBD pages
I learned that the hard way with all the “official” Spider-Man 4 posters on IMDB when I was a kid haha
The "R" rating is the giveaway for this because films can only be given a rating when they're ready for release, and this tantalising project seems a long way off from that. Also, if the film is true to Kane's work so far, I don't see how it would receive an R either
He's a director. If there is little overhead input, it should be good. I'd honestly be happy to just get more of what we have been getting from the web series. He clearly knows what he's doing, and can do it on a tighter budget, so it should be good.

The wiki has some good stuff but the incel comunity around it hyperfocus on things that make the backrooms look more like a fanfic multiverse sausage party like the avengers and marvel movies,

Picture this, you have been lost for days, starving thirsty , sleep deprived, lost, scared and even injured, then, out of nowhere you see this strange bottle of liquid, you run straight at it like an animal with your last few moments of life but then you stop in your tracks, realizing it can be a trap, then a huge mental torture eats at you on whether or not to drink this sets and it drags you into madness in pure silence, then many gours pass and at your last few breaths of lifw you give in and drink it... Then.. Life, stamina and health and not to mention memories rush inti your body and soul,

Kane is an incredibly creative individual and I have no doubt he will push to make this movie as good as it can possibly be. In his discord, he mentioned that filming is hopefully still going to happen this year, and everyone but him is ready to begin production, as from what I understand there's a few details he's not comfortable with just yet- which is good, as he wants to make sure this film follows his vision as closely as possible. I cannot wait to see more updates from him in the future, as I'm a MASSIVE fan of his work and super excited for the series. Also, there's been a bit of a rumor going around that the movie might be a sort of prequel to the current story we have right now- like maybe earlier expeditions? It would make sense for the backroom's first theatrical debut, but keep in mind, these are just rumors. Still, thought some people might find it interesting ;)

@@theRPGmaster of course they're friends. i forgot exactly what this threaddetailed here, but the only thing i was 'confused' about were some of the comments and feels established around kane and the backrooms series.
maybe its really the production side of lots of youtube media..
but kane was presented as an individual, young and very talented artist, with a solid concept and writing and cg talent, and just being the full force of the series himself single handedly,
but thats not true.
first theres DAD, and his crew, and style,
when people like Dad and kane become friends they stay friends and pool recourses, i mean thats why they worked/work together. he even pays homage to the true value store.
and windagoon and the resident evil no clip speed run trope. obviously the transition into the backrooms (like the dark backspaces of the engines exploited in speed running
plus his overall horror style, also injected into the backrooms
and windagoon's interest in the albums everywhere at the end of tiime
that feel all in the backrooms, kane even shows the cover of 6 as blue tape on the concrete, as a homage
i mean we could go on and on about the details, but they are there, and they can all be traced back to people or media that arent kane.
even (after i brought up my concerns to a youtuber in convo) kane appears doing an rare interview with them, and explains himself, addressing exactly what i brought up there, and starts that interview off saying.. i had a great cg modeler doing the mall in dallas, named the guys, gave him his 'coverage' for his skill he contriputed to kane
and that... being my main concern and why im even still going on.... is what i may be confused about
again, dont get me wrong. i like cane.
he does work great magic upon digital media, and he should continue doing what he loves (i like it)
but this series.
i suppose like all art,builds off ideas usually that have already been expressed
by other people
art doesnt go around crediting everything thats influenced
its all even under the CCL, and kane is open about that...but
but in the world of hollywood
and in the eyes of big fans
credits, to where credit is due
is worth the effort to express
because it gives respect and it gives oppertunity to all that great talent that invested in the projects
it should be very obvious that a full production of the backrooms series as it is
is hugely improbable for a single 17 year old cg artist / director , to plot, to model, to edit, to voice, to sound, to post, to fully exacute, and do interviews AND also maintain a social life, and attend school, and pitch, and make a 'not kane pixels',(but kane parsons) channel producing music almost daily
this.. is what production houses do.
they manage the talent within their network

is just that. a network, of very talented people

but also seems to be the pitch and the producer, and the one that supplied the framework extending from the original fourchan post, and the CCL around it

why no credit, really at all beyond 1 or two voice actors
was ever given through its run
and why it all went to kane parsons instead.
you know. the one that was offered a postition with a traditional 2.5 billion dollar company with 300 or more employess
plus they're working with Atomic Monster, Chernin Entertainment, and 21 Laps

(sadly they maybe forgotten , a24 holds the licences over the specifics of the kane pixels story and characters now. even kane can't use them anymore, unless kane pixels lawyers renegotiated with a24 later on)

imo the best Backrooms based story out there right now is Lost in the Hyperverse, who created a fully original story that is completely different than Kane's.
I prefer the Hyperverse to Kane Pixels.

I like the uncanny look the series has. I think the creator uses old school shaders to achieve it. It can be a bit much for how long the episodes are tho

Kane did say in his discord server in a call that he's trying to make it just "Backrooms" not even "The Backroom" He also said that the copyright thing is sorted out so they can do stuff called Backrooms. So hopefully copyright is all good :))

as soon as I saw atomic monster I got scared af. Im assuming kane is going to be mostly or fully in control creatively though so I'm sure its not something to worry about. Atomic monster just be putting out some garbagio is all

I am excited for this movie in all honesty. I like the story of the Backrooms and to see it not only get turned into a movie with all these great people attached to it but with Kane himself directing, it feels like this movie is in good hands

Honesty I don’t that will he would try to push for a rated r rating because he’s trying to make it his own thing and and none of his clips on RUclips have anything that would be considered rated R, but however, with a budget of a movie and the fact, this is his first film and he’s trying to make a name for himself. I could see it going either way because if they make it violent enough, it could end up being rated or just for that not even for language

I can’t wait for the movie. His series has inspired me and thousands of others to make content like his. It’s also really fun discussing with his community about his Backrooms videos. The informational video time travel thing was definitely one of the biggest points of convo.
Also, I believe it’s gonna be PG-13. Most of his biggest fans and people who make fan made videos off of his series are mostly comprised of teens.

I doubt those posters are real. "if you can hear it, it can hear you" seems like way to basic of a line to be representing the real movie
The poster visuals look entirely wrong, right down to the fonts used. This isn't classic Hollywood horror with demons and possessed little girls. It's pretty evident to me that no one knows what's going on with A24, Kane, and the Backrooms. As it should be.
I dunno about you but kane would probably do something cryptic about it. since He did that alot with the backrooms videos with hidden secrets here and there

I think it'd be PG-13. That way they can get the most money out of it. Plus there are alot of teens who will want to see the movie without their parents or guardian. Backrooms is extremely popular among teens especially with the asthetic/music/dreamcore videos etc.

Omg, James Wan, that is not a good sign... I hope it doesn't have cheap jumpscares or tries to appeal too much to the mainstream... Kane Pixels have an incredible sense of timing and subvertion of expectations... There are moments in which we don't even see a creature, like the Found Footage #2, which is a masterpiece.
I don't want it to have the same destiny as Spider-Man 3 with too much Sony intervention...

2035: backrooms movie still in production
I am very concerned that Kane Pixels and A24 are going to try and copyright material that is properly in the public domain. The Backrooms belong to us all. It really gets me angry to hear ppl say that Kane Pixels "invented" the Backrooms. He did not. He didn't even come up with the first Backrooms found footage. (That was a YT creator named Nick Crowley far as I can tell.) Other creators need to release Backrooms movies. For example, I'd love to see Stranger Things dedicate a season to the Backrooms. KEEP THE BACKROOMS FREE.
Only “Async” is copyrighted I hear. The Backrooms as a concept is still in the open domain.

I think The Backrooms Movie should go In the direction of the main character no clipping into this pocket dimension and roaming through multiple levels with a few other wanderers who also no clipped while avoiding entities. Because that way it will be twice the tension seeing these victims suffer the fate of these particular entities and levels which will also Introduce the audience what kind of unknown threat they're dealing with.
Also I think it'd be funny if Broogli made a cameo appearance , maybe he can appear as the entity from his channel and escort wanderers at a certain point of a level

Backrooms is the most satisfiying cosy nightmare I know! Glad some other dreamers went to this universe too.
I can't wait for them to have a scene where an important character is being told by a scientist on what "The Backrooms" is and how it could theoretically exist and function with the camera then panning over to the scientist to reveal MatPat ending his explanation with "It's just a theory."

a backrooms movie that they will make will be exactly like what youve all seen already...a teen dropping into the backrooms running around screaming being chased then at the very end a monster eats them...the end
for 30 minutes of the film youll see the teen and his friends walking and laughing around then for an hour youll see the teen having a panic attack screaming running and then for 1 minute at the very end youll see the monster eat him then credits...

btw the first backrooms was in hellraiser by clive barker...the labrynth is the true og backroom and that would be terrifying if there was a game with that place...hellraiser 1 and 2 went big really big and became an iconic franchise...when you compare a 17 year olds backrooms with clive barkers backrooms well just ponder on that

Good Video can you please do a video on the M.E.G. and all the other groups from the wikidot as lots of people use the wikidot for backrooms source but the M.E.G. is this Massive organisation like the SCPF but backrooms and kinda stronger in some ways It has many teams for tasks bases miltary and equipment and so do all the other groups I think they are a very cool and interesting concept and It would be cool to cover in my opinion as it is a good idea but not many youtubers doing it also happy you back uploading videos :)

The one thing i am afraid of in this movie is that majority of movies ends with a happy ending or escape .
but The Main Idea of the Backrooms is that There is No escape You must accept your faith .
If in this movie end the main cast escape the backrooms it will ruin the entire idea of backrooms.
because as of any backrooms cannon, stories, or even wiki there is NO ESCAPE.

or... they escaped at a heavy cost e.g. dying friends, survivor's guilt, PTSD, mental asylum, maybe lost a limb, kidnapped later by some kind of MIBs/gov't agency, kill him/herself, i still can also accept these kind of heavy and dark ending.
