I could see this coming, the game was pretty bare bones when I stopped playing a couple of months ago.
the games campaign good and evil ended in a cliffhanger i saw this coming

I downloaded lotr rise to war yesterday and I noticed the roleplaying server wasn't an option for me anymore. Does anyone know if that option is gone?
It worries me that I just want a good LOTR game at this point. I really enjoyed return to moria but after 60 hours I had my fill. Putting a lot of hope onto tales of the shire now.. Good luck ATME I don't follow rise to war but I'll keep checking back with you for other LOTR content!
It’s kinda amazing GoH survived for over 8 years now and this LotR skin of it was able to die in less than a year.
Have you tried Lord of the Rings online? It’s actually still a very fun game and I would definitely enjoy watching videos on that

Yikes. When I originally saw the art for this game I knew it had no future.

I guess they couldn't fulfill quotas set by EA. either there were to few people who played it or just to low revenue from it or both.
Turning point was thorin/glyphs/big gem deal in December,
they couldnt even pull 1m from that

Have you tried out battle for middle earth II? The modding community just released Age of the Ring mod last year. It looks really awesome! You can even play offline campaigns and online pvp too
FYI, age of the ring has been around for years. The last major update released in fall 2023.
Big fan of the faction system in LOTR: Rise to War. Feels like Heroes of Middle Earth but with even more choices.
Hey if you got time to try out another middle earth type game, check out Pacman's Middle-earth / Lord of the Rings world for minecraft. Pretty fun and can be played multiplayer.

When it came out I thought the graphics were some kind of beta form and would be updated on release and that was not the case, that was actually the look they intended to release with and it was 1-2 generations behind modern games right from the start. Then there was zero excitement on pulls as the best you could do was a couple shards for a hero you wanted and there were a ton of glitches with guilds and raids at least from my experience. I love LOTR and it would be nice if someone made this kind of game with modern graphics and game modes. Edit: Also having the best commanders locked behind P2W mechanics was a big turn-off.

I stopped playing this game back in August not much to do and very chunky. I honestly don't like these LOTR mobile games but I'll always love the classic LOTR games on PS2, Xbox, GBA, and Xbox 360.
They need to find a company that will make this game the way that it should have been made. Ugh.
I couldn't really get into the game. I literally play RAID a good amount and I was hoping I could replace it with a similar game based on LOTR, but I just didn't like the campaigns, the art, and some of the mechanics. I had kind of hoped to jump back into it in the future to see if there was more interesting content added, but I guess that's that. RIP HoME

The game premise was not bad but the implementation was poor, severe lack of content and way too many bugs put most people off. The LofR franchise should have made the game a success but it was too rushed.

Just give us a good lotr, give us something like a lotr game similar to witcher or bg3, give us a proper lotr games, not these cheap mobile games, not these boring survival games, give us sometbing that has story

Rise to War isn't exactly it the best state.
@@allthingsmiddleearth it’s obvious there were thousands of active players. A couple dozen thousand is a very small number for a mobile game. LOTR:rise is in great shape. A lot of players that left came back. The number of new players coming in every day is good. The game is beautiful, very balanced and competitive. As soon as these initial glitches are taken care of, I’m sure the game will thrive.

Rise to war died with 2.0. People will still play it, but that doesn't make it good.
