Great review and comparison of feeder bowls. As a consumer, I would prefer the slow feeder bowl over the snuffle mat because most are hygienic as they are dishwasher safe. The mat is brightly colored, so it would get washed less frequently in my household.
Your little guy looks in great shape. Congratulations! We got that kind of bowl for Daisy, our dachshund, and it took about a week for her to figure out how to pick it up by the rim and upset it to scatter all the food over the floor! Don't be surprised if yours eventually learns too. They are super intelligent when it comes to food.
just switched to slow feeders like the white one. I do cook for my 4 legged grand babies and dinners done in 47 secs. way to fast. Terrier chih mix 15lb and german shep 86 lbs. we are up to 1.50 min to 2.15 min much better still seems fast but ill take it.
yup. it all depends on the dogs personality !! Some dogs even flip the slow feeder dish...there are also dog puzzles...but some dogs just destroy the puzzles too !! (get the food faster). There are things you can find in videos: people who look after zoo animals, hide the animals food in different spots..to make the animal search for the food(to fight boredom)
With the towel you counted the whole time the dog took to unravel the towel to get to the first treat. That doesn't make sense. It took him almost 30s just to get to the food.

Great video guys! Keep up the good work
Thank you!
My favorite are snuffle mats! However for any wet food items the Petco ceramic for everyday yay blue bowl starts at 9.99 for smallest one. Best deal!
Do the dogs not over time eat/tear/wear out the cloth fringes on the snuffle mat during the daily food search?
What's your dog(s) name? 🐶
Harper, Cooper and Banks 🥲
Meeko (named after the dog you find in skyrim), teddy bear, Joey, and lewis
@@mackenzieboyles7893 same 😳
@@Trash_Kingx cute!
shelby!
How about for wet food? Especially canned dog food with gravy or sauce
then just use the bowl options
slow feeder bowls work great for that too, like the one he used, you just have to clean them
Should I elevate the bowl as well?
This video 😍😍😍
Is there a way to train them to eat slower without the tricks?

It does feel a tad fast but it should be slow enough that they won't have any digestive problems from eating too fast!
My dog just picks up and shakes snuffle mats and sends the food flying 🤦🏻♀️

That's ridiculous maybe for small dogs but my Rottweiler would tear that apart..
