    Wow, great info... I have been doing these chords in different ways, though your chord/double stop form is really easy. I have not thought about moving the 1-7, a half step one direction or another for a 4-7 or a 5-7. Thanks for posting!

      mandomonica You're welcome. It's a great old trick, you hear a lot of blues guitarist use it. If you can find some early string band blues, you can hear the mando players using it.

      +robert bullard Sorry you feel that way. I think I was being a bit aggressive. If you listen to the old string band blues mandolin players, they really pound on those strings! It's a sweet old mando, very responsive. It does sound better with a lighter touch.

      +Ronnie Eversole Hey Ronnie I just posted a mandolin video tutorial on 2 string / 2 finger shapes and I use Keep on the Sunny Side as a demo. Not very bluegrass yet, but I'll get there.

    What kind of mandolin are you playing ???? it looks like a gibson f 4

    • @jcurtis30water
      @jcurtis30water  5 лет назад

      It is a F-2. I think Ira louvin played an F 4. Same basic mandolin with fancier inlay and headstock.
