This was an insane preparation and an absolute delight to watch. But I doubt any human can beat Stockfish 12.
I checked this line with Stockfish 12 depth 30.
From move 7 to 13, the eval bar was between -3.5 to -4.5
Then from 14 to 19, the eval bar was between -5 to -6 (completely winning for black according to the engine)
Then, move 20. ... Be6 was not what the engine suggested (The top three moves for Black were Re6, Nac6, Rxe1+ with an engine eval of around -5). Still, Be6 was winning for Black with an eval of -3.5.
Then again on move 22. ... Bc2 was not what the engine recommended (The top three moves for black were Ne6, Qxe7, and Bd3 with eval of -2.21,-2.36, and -1.42 resp). 22. ... Bc2 eval was actually 0.0 (draw).
After that, white was completely winning. 28. ... b6 ( also not the engine recommendation) was a forced checkmate M26.

Unless there are more openings which can beat Stockfish, the next logical step is to see how quickly Stockfish can be beat. Is it possible to beat Stockfish with bullet time controls? Also, I suggest playing against Stockfish using stronger hardware on Arena. I run Stockfish on 1024mb RAM, and two dual core 2.0ghz processors. My version of Stockish is stronger than on in this video. Having better hardware would make beating Stockish much more impressive. It also would be worthwhile to analyze Lichess Stockfish games using better hardware.

    • @johntimsen7825
      @johntimsen7825 3 года назад

I think the first mistake of the computer was on move 20 ... Be6. Black should trade a pair of rooks at this point. Up on material, trading as much as possible should diffuse the attack. And it gives an escape for the King or an entry for the Queen to protect g7.
    How would you continue after the following moves : 20. Qxg5 Rxe1+ 21. Rxe1 Nac6
From there, I tried similar attacks as the one you did, with some help of the computer, but there is a good response each time trading pieces to put an end to the attack. I was unable to get through. But as I am not an expericenced chess player, you could probably do a better job than me.
    After 22. Re3 or Re4 or Re7, the response is Be6
After 22. Qh6, the only move is Nf5, any other move leads to mate in 4 or less.
The Bishop prevents the Rook from going to h3. If white takes the bishop, it is replace by a Knight protecting g7 and attacking the Queen on g5.
If the Queen tries to go for the mate without the rook, then black either puts a Knight on f5 covering g7 h6 and h4, also preventing a stack on the h file with the help of the g6 pawn. Or takes the pawn on f6. Or puts the queen on f8 to protect g7. Depending on what is possible.
Here are some possible lines I tried:
    22. Qh6 Nf5 23. Qh3 Be6 24. g4 Nfd4 25. Qh6 Nf3+ 26. Kh1 Qf8
    22. Re3 Be6 23. Nf4 Ne5 24. Qh6 Qxf6 25. Nh5 Qxf2+ 26. Kxf2 Ng4+ 27. Kg1 Nxh6
    22. Re4 Be6 23. Rh4 Nf5 24. Rh3 Bxd5 25. g4 Ncd4 26. gxf5 Nf3+ 27. Rxf3 Bxf3 28. fxg6 Qe8 29. gxf7+ Kxf7 30. Qg7+ Ke6
    22. Re4 Be6 23. Rh4 Nf5 24. Rh6 Bxd5
    22. Re7 Be6 23. Nf4 Ne5 24. Qh6 Nf5
