There are so many that don't realize how important regular maintenance is on equipment (and vehicles)!
Shane (DLT) recommended your channel and I'm glad he did. I look forward to watching more of your videos.

I went to the dealership and looked over a ZT2000, ZT3000, A 3500, and finally a ZT6100. I took the 6100, because it has so many good features. I'm not a commercial mower, just an older guy with a maybe 1/4 acre yard.

It won't take you long to do now Roger !. The ZT6100 is also a "beast". You may have a few neighbours asking for favours too 🤣. Nice one. 👍😎.......🦘

Checked the oil wrong. Supposed to just press the oil cap on the dip tube WITHOUT screwing it down. Says in the literature. Just trying to help.!

Hello sir question please I have the exact same mower with 50 hours on it and have had severe hydraulic noise. I have bled and tried to remove all air from the system. Replaced oil filters and added fresh hydraulic fluid and bled, but cannot get the noise to go away do you have any suggestions please, I’m not used to a zero turn with without hydraulic reservoirs have had three Ferris zero returns all had hydraulic reservoirs. This is my first without hydraulic reservoir. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hello Jay. Thanks for your comment & watching. I'd take it to the dealer to "double check" as it's still under warranty. These hydro's with internal expansion tanks are a little different to the ones with external tanks. From what I understand it is very important to get the correct oil volume. This is important for the flow of oil from the main chamber to the internal expansion tank when things warm up & then when they cool down (in reverse). This was the main issue for mine & seemed to fix it wheh sorted. Although when on a side slope it can get noisy again until I get onto level ground. I have an older ZT2000 with the external tanks & it is quieter than my new one with the internal tanks. Hope this helps some way. 👍😎

Great video. I pick mine up tomorrow and can’t wait to get it! Did you check the spark plug gap? One note on the oil change. On the bobcat website there is a maintenance video. In this video (and written on the oil dipstick) it says not to turn the cap on to check the level. I noticed you are twisting it all the way down to check the level. So I wonder if you are a little short on oil. The manual says it takes two full liters for mine. Not sure if yours is the same. Thanks for the vid!

Thanks Jim. I appreciate the comment & feedback. I should check the spark plug gap. Will do next time. I also re-check the oil before I go out the next morning (& also everyday before I head out) & don't twist it all the way down then. Re: oil volume yes I think it's around 2.1 litres required when you've changed the filter. So around another 200ml's extra needed on top of the oil provided in the kit. I have plenty of spare oil in the garage. I'm sure you'll enjoy your new Babycat tomorrow. Cheers.

It doesnt matter how many times you check the oil if you twist the cap its still going to be low. However, that amount of oil wil not be harmful. Great video.

@@brianwelsh-primecutslawnca4364 I'm going to do the same thing in checking the oil regularly. I've been using it for a few weeks now and it is amazing! I installed a mulching kit on it today and will see how that does. Also, a couple weeks ago, I upgraded the air filter box to the donaldson two filter system. I think it will help the engine out.

you mentioned noisy hydrostat transaxle. I have a zt3000 and was noticing the noisy hydrstat too when moving the sticks....They are sealed hydos? So did you sent yours back to the dealer? Did they drain it? Did it improve it?

G'day Jake, they are serviceable hydros. Yes I took it back to my dealer to check. It got sorted. From memory it needed a bit more hydro oil. I've had no problem with it at all since & have 260 hr's on it now. Thank You for watching & support. Cheers. 👍😎

@jakevanaman1369 I reckon it would be a good idea to discuss with your dealer Jake. First check - Do the hydros have external or internal expansion tanks? If external you can check quickly & top up. If internal, which my newer zt2000 has, I'd be going back to the dealer. Particularly if still under warranty. Cheers. 👍😎

@@brianwelsh-primecutslawnca4364 They are internal expansion tanks, so may have to check with my dealer....I may just be paranoid! Who knows.
