Some great tips from this guy.. I've been riding bikes since I was 8, I'm 51 now... So obviously started off on off road bikes, just thrashers ( small 1/125cc roadbikes for the fields. Then I got into motocross.. I past my test and got a Yamaha TZR250 2 STROKE.. Excellent bikes, but listen yes it did 120mph which was fast for 88. I was already quite good, but anyone can open the throttle on a straight. Start by going slower and learn how to enter and exit every corner, S bends whatever...Do not brake whilst into any corner, think about oncoming traffic, even if you see its clear, get the lines mastered... After the 250, I got a 91 Kawasaki ZXR400. Bit tuned 133mph, but totally different to the Yam 250 smoker in many ways.. Think about what bike you really want, be it any serious 1000cc+ superbike, or a 1000cc sports tourer, because they ride differently... Don't get like that V twin Yamaha to ride, if next year you want an R1 etc.. The 600's/1000's are only different in weight, power and torque.. Always wear full leathers, boots, gloves.. Doesn't matter how good you are, may not be your fault... But come off at 70+mph in jogging bottoms and a T shirt.. Say goodbye to your skin and bones... We bikers all love to give it the beans.. But don't do it where you can kill innocent people.. I can wheelie all day, but I don't ride through towns on the back wheel.. Most of all, enjoy yourself, stay safe and have consideration for others..
Will be getting my first bike in a couple months and I cannot thank you enough. The tips you give from riding to buying make me feel confident in getting the bike I want. Thanks bro

If you're over 180lbs or just really tall I'd consider again a DRZ, KLR650, or Ninja 650 or a beater Ninja 500(the old model not new one) For cruiser/standard bike on the cheap look at a Moto Guzzi V7 you can find them for CRAZY cheap ignore the hipsters trying to sell their "rare" model for $8K+ they can be found all day for around $3K-4K for the slightly older 5 speed model. They even make scrambler and cafe racer variants! They're also probably the easiest bike to work on ever.

Ive topped mine out at 140mph which is plenty fast.
You don't know why 600 sportsbikes are cheap! The vast majority are thrashed hard, wheelied, crashed, redlined etc. Cheap 600s often need multiple parts replacing.
Hello brother, someone told me that if I want to buy a motorcycle for around $3.5k, I should consider the FZ8. Can you help me with buying it at that price?
do you have any advice for me cause im about to be 16 and ive rode dirtbikes and stuff like that but my parents dont want me to get my motocycle license because they are always saying ima get killed or something and where i from the MSF course isnt mandatory. lol idk why im saying this
Honestly if you are just YOLOing and don't give a damn the 750 is a WAY better bike and holds its value way more. Knox the British clothing brand and review outlet won't touch the 1000 anymore after one of their reviewers nearly died during a review when the front suspension gave out at like 130. The 1000 is made with budget parts to hit its price. If you can find one with like $4K in upgraded suspension work and a steering damper that's a different story. But the 750 is a monster as light as a 600 but with like 40% more power. Or buy a used ZX10/S1K lol
I’m 17 turning 18 and I was doing some digging bc I want to get my license when I’m 18 and I was wondering I’ve rode dirt bikes my whole life I had a Kawasaki 450 for a couple years do you think I should get a 600 instead of a 400??
Everyone says the 400 r a good starting bike nd i dont doubt it but i know that after a two months im gonna be wanting something faster so do you think the cbr 600rr is a good move?
I started out on a Yamaha r6 back in early 2000s when I was in the Marine. I did ride dirt bikes all my childhood though. But I know a lot of people that got a 300-400 cc and after 2-3 months hated having it and upgraded to a 600
I started on a zx10r , one thing I learned from my dad was something he told me he said that ‘the bike will only go as fast as you make it go’ or something similar to that, it was pretty helpful even though it was that simple🤷♀️

I knew I would leave a bikes few out Haha thanks for the info!
What’s the best passenger princess bike to buy just incase a female ask if she can ride
How are you supposed to find a 2005 bike who's motor is'nt already about to blow?
Patience, there is always a mint one out there if ur willing to wait
I’m a big guy 6’1 312 looking at a cbr600 as my first bike it looks big enough and it’s a 600 which I originally wanted to start on
Go to some shop and sit on the bike then you’ll know if it’s for you
You don't know why 600 sportsbikes are cheap! The vast majority are thrashed hard, wheelied, crashed, redlined etc. Cheap 600s often need multiple parts replacing.
How bad of an idea is it to start on a monster 821 or 1200
Hello brother, someone told me that if I want to buy a motorcycle for around $3.5k, I should consider the FZ8. Can you help me with buying it at that price?
You're a cool dude, I'm gonna sub.
Did something happen in the last year cuz people are trying to sell r3s for 6800 😂
R1 and R6 got discontinued and these idiots think their lil R3 is comparable I guess. 😆
do you have any advice for me cause im about to be 16 and ive rode dirtbikes and stuff like that but my parents dont want me to get my motocycle license because they are always saying ima get killed or something and where i from the MSF course isnt mandatory. lol idk why im saying this
I'm 6'4 which bike will fit best without the seat being so low?
gsxr 600, watch gixxeer brah he 6'4
I’m going to grab a ninja 400 used for cheap hopefully… but if it’s around the price of a 500 I’ll prob just go new
This year im planning on buying my first bike. going full squid and getting a gsxr 1000
If u rode 450’s you’ll be fine. 600’s don’t have that much torque it’s all up top. A 450 would throw u off before a 600 would. Good luck🏍️💯
Looking to get a Yamaha r7 as my first bike.
I just bought a BMW G310R 👀
My first bike is fs gonna be either a Ninja 400 or a Honda CBR 500… I’ll see yall in a couple months😎😎
whats good mileage to get a used bike at
Everyone says the 400 r a good starting bike nd i dont doubt it but i know that after a two months im gonna be wanting something faster so do you think the cbr 600rr is a good move?
I started out on a Yamaha r6 back in early 2000s when I was in the Marine. I did ride dirt bikes all my childhood though. But I know a lot of people that got a 300-400 cc and after 2-3 months hated having it and upgraded to a 600
Are you from mass?
The 05 06 zx6r 636cc is a way better bike than the 07 zx6r which is only 600cc
Honda cb 300 f are great for city driving. Keep the oil changed and they will last a long time
Did he say murdercycle? Haha 💀
I'm also about to start with a 2023 ninja 400
I can only wish the day comes i can get my first bike
Watching this with 5k in my account like SpongeBob i dont need it, I dont need it, I NEED IT!!!!
I started on a zx10r , one thing I learned from my dad was something he told me he said that ‘the bike will only go as fast as you make it go’ or something similar to that, it was pretty helpful even though it was that simple🤷♀️
1000cc bike as your first bike? bro what the actual hell? my first time riding a bike was a 70 cc one... 😐
@@reaver_7 I rly started on a 1000cc cuz peer pressure and also what my dad said😛
@@reaver_7 I almost died on it the first few rides 🦅🦅🦅🦅
@@Hislilsaint Damn, throttle control must be difficult on a 1000cc bike especially if its your first ever bike, but still count yourself lucky lol, in my home country 400cc is everyone's dream bike
@@reaver_7 almost died hella times😼
