So where should I start? I do not post comments on u tube at all. But Rubina mam you changed my skincare game completely. My rant is going to be long so please bear with me. I changed everything from my facewash to the moisturizer to the sunscreen. Firstly I was not using any face serum but then suddenly u tube recommended one of your certified sunscreen videos. And here went the addiction. Not a day goes by when I do not watch you. I purchased Daughter earth vitamin c powder, innisfree black tea serum, daughter Earth absolute serum, deconstruct brightening serum as well as clearing serum and what not. All of the products have been tested and used. And when you recommend something, its not just for the sake of a video or views, i know you post these videos so that we can wake up from the slumber of commercialism.
I used any sunscreen previously without checking whether it's working or not. Coming to now, i do not purchase anything without looking out for the ingredients. And yes exactly like you say, people still think that sunscreen is a fashion accessory.
Just yesterday I had to go to my head office for some work. There i met an old colleague and he was surprised seeing me. He said what did you to your face? Then i realised that I should thank you because you are the real inspiration for me.
Talking about my face, in terms of complexion i resemble my father. I had a lot of facial hair and i never used a sunscreen or a mosturizer or a facewash in my life. I Simply washed my face with plain water. During the lockdown period i took time and my skin was glowing. But then again after the lockdown, i was back to square one. Then you came to my rescue and taught everything. Rubi mam thank you so much. Its from the bottom of my heart. And never ever stop making these sort of videos. You don't even know how many women you are inspiring. Since the time I have started watching you, i literally do not watch anyone else. Just a big thank you note for existing. Which sunscreen do you use?
It’s 1.25 to 2.5 ml of sunscreen that everyone recommends for the face and front neck. No one says that you need to use 10 ml of sunscreen.

I am in love with Thriveco sunscreen gel and it's the one main thing I always keep in my purse with me. It keeps my skin protected and hydrated and it's very light n non greasy. Being in gel form it doesn't leave any whiteness on skin.
Uff can’t forget how my sunscreen just washed away while surfing and it was dead hot. Even though i applied nutrogena full zinc sunscreen
Try conscious chemist sunscreen especially the blue one for oily acne prone skin,its just awsum you dont even feel like you are wearing something its like transparent gel. So basically if we use 10 ml per application,this 50g tube is gonna last for 5 times. ₹400 is wayyyy too costly for just 5 times application, atleast for me. Please review some cheaper but effective sunscreens as well.

Hey Rubina mam.i am 24yrs of old.i dont have acne prblm.but from last 3 year i have uneven skin color and pigmentation due to sun damage.as i start using suncreen from 2 to 3 months but nothing works on me.i am student and i can't invest on so many products.please mam suggest me a good vit c serum or any other serum which only fade pigmentation .as per your suggestion i m using biosilk moisturizer.its too gud but please it's a request suggest me a good face serum for pigmentation and uneven skin color

Q: From the review, Wishcare products have fragrance in them does this sunscreen have fragrance and does it irritate the eye? Also another question on sunscreen in general, does sunscreen damage your hairline (forehead) over a period of time, I have a lot of baby hair and i really want it to stay and not get damaged.

I would actually follow research papers on recommended sunscreen usage and amount for adequate spf protection bcoz those claims are usually devoid of bias caused by ulterior motives. La Rosche Posay on the other hand is a premium brand known for their sunscreens, hence it is understandable that they would do everything in their power to hike up sales. Hence the explanation as to why they recommend 10 ml of sunscreen upon application for optimal protection (for one to frequently run out of sunscreens and keep repurchasing). Dr. Dray's advice seems more economical compared to a large marketing conglomerate, so that's what I would prefer. But to each their own, if one has the amount of money to throw down the drain by applying 10 ml of spf to prevent UV exposure be my guest but I wouldn't give in. Btw love your reviews but please consider how expensive of an investment sunscreens can be for most of us and try and analyze where these brands are coming from in terms of marketing strategies.
I completely agree Sanskriti.And there’s no way one can apply that much of sunscreen without looking like a ghost.and I find it very stupid when I see the way people apply sunscreen,half of it or even more goes into their palms .
your concerns are valid. this was shared during a scientific conversation and i reckon for a full, direct exposure it might be prudent to slather on extra. But its a personal choice.

What's ur view on pharmacy based sunscreens? Like rivela sunscreen, photostable , adcross , uv med , blynds , solecross , face guard , acne uv sunscreen etc. Because these r recommended by dermats.
i am conflicted because thes are not certified by any certification body .

@@RubinaSkincare pharmacy grade medical products can't be marketed without clinical trial that needs certification. That is why I trust pharmacy grade sunscreen more than cosmetic grade as there is no standardized regulation

Love your work Rubina ,all your videos are thorough and on point,lots of respect for that.about larger sunscreen packaging -minimalist has recently come up with spf 30 body sunscreen in 150ml tube for rs499.for those of us who don’t go out it can be a really good option for application and reapplications throughout the day at a good budget.plz test wether it’s good enough to be applied on our face ..it’s a request..lots of love and wish you the best ❤️
I have tried using it on my face but it does tend to give a slightly dull appearance and feels heavy on the face maybe bcoz of the consistency and formulation. But if you don't mind that it definitely is a good option ❤️🙂
Thankyou for sharing,I most definitely can’t go with it then ,I am very oily skinned -anything heavy and greasy for me.what would you suggest for oily face ,I am currently using the requil ultra dry one but unlike the popular opinion I am not a fan,it leaves a very visible white cast despite me being very fair .
@@surbhis2962 ohh I happen to have that one too but it's the primer like finish that gives the additional coverage u are perceiving as white cast probably (idk😅). Otherwise my absolute favourite is the Earth rhythm spf 50 for no visible white cast and extremely lightweight. Only thing is if u r someone who enjoys matte finish you won't enjoy it as it does leave a dewy glow. Stick to sunscreens that are dry touch if so. Personally for someone who was a literal greaseball, giving my skin the hydration actually helped with sebum control in the long run. Hence I don't prefer matte formulas on a regular basis unless I'm going to apply makeup, which I rarely do. So I haven't ventured out on sunscreens that leave a dry touch( siliconey) matte finish.
i would check the ingredients as our face needs more hydration than our body does since our clothes prevent TEWL, also we sweat differently from our face than we do from our body...that sweat can affect how the sunscreen needs to be formulated. and so facial sunscreens are different from body sunscreens formulation wise.
That is my favourite too,but since it’s not waterproof and I am oily it washes off with sweat,can’t wear it outside in summers.but throughout the winters it was my go to sunscreen,so affordable and easy on the skin .

Most of them are packages of 50 ml..

I have dry sensitive skin , my dermatologist prescribed me EPISOFT but it's a CHEMICAL SUNSCREEN n used to MAKE MY SKIN BURN ( LITERALLY AS IF ON FIRE) AND RED ! Will hybrid sunscreen suit me? ( SHALL I GO FOR AQUALOGICA as per your review) Please SUGGEST THE BEST MINERAL SUNSCREEN FOR DRY N SENSITIVE SKIN THAT DOESN'T STING OR MAKE ME SWEAT 💦😅...I used ZBLOCK recently but it made my skin drier, have used UV DOUX, LOTUS, NEUTROGENA, MAMA EARTH, not satisfied with any.
If you find something that suits your skin, then please let me know, i have the exact same skin concerns

try the pilgrim or sunscreen from minimalist instead then especially if you are in a humid area as well

I am sorry to enterphere your discussion. Dr.Rubina is not wrong to advise using 10 lm per one time. Even scientist advise 1 ounce suncream on face..it's equal 28 grams..😁😁. However, it's not easy to follow it. Hence, if one is in shadow area, better reduce the amount..5ml is not bad idea infact.I remembered I read an article saying, amount of suncream in liquid form should be equal to length of one finger fold(out of 3 fol folds in 1 finger). Hope it's clear to you..

Are you sure that it's 10ml? Because from what i have read we need about .04 ounces of sunscreen for our face which is around 1.2ml.

you need a water proof sunscreen meant especialy for swimming. I have not seen an indian brand for this type.
