- Step inside this beautiful condo, part of the $1 million Princess Margaret Home Lottery bonus prize! See how designer Joel Bray gives new life to the 650 sq-ft. Home in Toronto’s Entertainment District. He knocked down a wall and replaced it with an eye-catching room divider made of sleek walnut slats that lets in lots of natural light. A custom island, textured backsplash and fresh white palette give the kitchen a bright and airy feeling. A deep teal limewash bedroom is a monochromatic dream, accented by jade green pillows and lush plants. Step onto the balcony to see incredible city views from the cozy seating, surrounded by plenty of flowers.

That’s the first Frame TV I’ve seen that I didn’t immediately realize was a tv.
I literally was second guessing myself as well!
A lot of creative ideas in this rather small space! Especially love the room divider and the cosy feel of the bedroom!
Beautiful design! Removing the wall and adding the divider was a great idea….lets the light in 😊❤️
I love Joel! I would prefer having a dining space instead of an office space. I would have put the dining room where the living room is and the living room where the office is (remove the dividing wall and put the tv where the desk is). You can work at an island or dining table but I feel an office space is less versatile. But I can totally see why a home office might be more important than a dining room to some :)
And where did you get your training?
@@andrewmolen5618, thank you for your question. I'm an Interior design graduate at College Lasalle (Montréal). Joel did an amazing job with the space. I commented with my personal take on it. In the end, it all depends on what the client values the most :)
That sofa was made for the space. Looks incredible!
wow, Joel is a designer that never disappoints. I love the tv, made me feel like I want one. The Divider is a great idea to separate spaces, painting the handles was a smart move, the patio looks like a little oasis in a jungle of concrete, and that bed it's luxury hotel 101. Joel has beefed up! woof
Fantastic job making this condo more beautiful and functional. I love the style and color choices! ❤
I love seeing small spaces and especially balconies! Beautiful couch as well, just makes we want to come home and relax while enjoying that amazing view!
I love how you did the wall separation from the living room/office area; simply brilliant! Only thing I would have changed is end tables in the bdrm with drawers for much needed storage. Otherwise, it's quite perfect!
More Joel pls, H & H! ... I always have to watch his design videos several times as there is so much inspiration in just a few minutes!
The home looks great. I'm not sure if that is the same dude from a previous tour but it's good to see he has appropriate pants on if it is.
Love this...n all the design thinking that went into it. This is one video I kept reversing to have a closer listen and look. The designer succeeded in adding character to the home.
Excellent job. I’m saving this for reference in my design job
There's a reason why Joel is one of their best designers. He always brings so much creativity and personality to a space. Love the wood slat divider to create an office.
Love the whole design. The bedroom is so moody and cozy while the kitchen is bright and airy.
I don’t have one thing to complain about- it’s so beautiful!
I’d have done away with the divider. The living space would look larger, feel airier, and receive more light from that other window without it. All it seems to do is add claustrophobia. (I’d have added some wood panelling to the wall behind the desk instead, for texture.)
Also, what if you have 3 or heaven forbid, 4 people over for dinner? Do you eat in the bathroom then? That island could have been done better. At least stick some seating at the ends.
What a great apartment. I would enjoy living in that space. The wood slat wall was a genius of an idea.
I love the concept, specially the bedroom. I love the wood bar divider, but not sure in that space, I would place it in another spot 🤔 Love it anyway! 😘
Looove Joel design and it’s well thought as usual. and finally a interior design who visualize the need to space to move around a coffee table.
A lot of great ideas to make the small space functional. Love the divider and the big sectional. I wish there was something better than an island with two stools. Even if you only eat take out, it is a soulless experience sitting at an island. Atleast in the summer one can eat at the bistro table.
Wow you did an AMAZING job. Designing a small space is not easy. You made this functional, inviting and quite livable. Bravo! Got my tickets ready!!!
This is such a smart use of space and everything from the room divider, island and kitchen details is such a great investment for the owner! ✨Beautiful! ✨
I love Joel's work. It's good to see him back on the channel. I feared he was let go after the white shorts episode. ;o)
We stan Joel Bray; white shorts or not!
This condo is beautifully done, and I especially love the walnut room divider. The balcony would be wasted space because I could never go out onto it!
The room divider and sofa is genius
Georgeus!
Some very aesthetically pleasing changes! I’d love a little more functionality with storage & integration of a privacy panel in the walnut divider. I do love how taking out the wall adds so much more light to the condo!
Joel is one of my fav designers such a great aesthetic!
Great job looks beautiful
If I could afford a condo in Toronto and have it professionally decorated, this would be the exact look I’d be going for. Absolutely love it!
Exceptional job on this one. WOW WOW WOW!
That’s a TV? Wow!! Love that it doesn’t even look like one
Beautiful design. I counted at least 35 "really"s
It's really pretty, light and spacious!
First of all you are smart, and 2,, the decor is so amazing
Welcome back Joel we missed you, great work as usual.
Beautifully done and well thought out! Perfection!
Joel definitely has 'theMidas touch'! Love everything he does!!! It's just goden! :)
i wish i could have this in my life...
LOVE this place!!! Perfection for city living!
Nice and cozy
Those African decor pieces made me homesick 😢. Lol!! You did a great job with such a small space.
Great job! Every detail was so thoughtfully executed for this diagonal unit.
Interesting ideas for a small space, well executed. Love the kitchen island. Great layout of furniture and room divider looks great. All in all fantastic.
Hardly any or no storage ?
I do love your style very much, Bray, either interior and personal 🤩👌🏽 Awesome job!
i love it..
Felt that function followed form and should have been reverse. The small space became smaller, lacking comfortable dining space, less functional office space, bedroom became smaller with color choice. As beautiful as that divider is, it took away placement options and once again, diminished available space. Could actually see that divider as a feature on a wall.
Absolutely love the dividing wall. It sets the tone.
❤❤❤ awesome
Would love to see what it looked like before the changes
I love the luxe look. The sofa is beautiful; the walnut slat divider is wonderful. I still myself would want a table for dinner guests so I would do something that could become a table ie cofee table or the desk in the den. I liked the moodiness of the bedroom but did not think the dark green went with the grey and steel blue. That to me was a fail. oTHER SHADES OF GREY OR DARK BURGUNDY EVEN CAMEL WOULD BE BETTER. tHE GREENDID NOT DO ANYTHING FOR THE OTHER COLORS.
It looks like a nice place but if I’m honest and i won 1st thing would do is redecorate the bedroom starting with the straw plate thing above the bed
Love that sofa
This is absolutely beautiful. Great job!
Needs "wooden" floors to give it more warmth and some warm accent colours in the bedroom and bathroom, possibly more wood to continue the mid-century vibe as in the beautiful room divider.
Great job, looks amazing
Anyone knows what pic is that for the Frame TV? I'd love to use it on my own Frame.
Amazing design!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
SIMPLEMENTE BEAUTIFUL!!!!
This is so beautiful!!
Did he say he wanted to add character and uniqueness to the space? Where are they?
Did you miss the teal lime washed walls and custom room divider? Oh right, that’s definitely a standard feature in all condos. Definitely see that ALL THE TIME.
@@misstopportunity6914 can’t tell if you are sarcastic cuz they are indeed very common. Ordinary, safe, and uncreative
Beautiful family too
Too bad you have to live in Ontario to enter :( love the decor and the whole vibe :)
The room divider is gorgeous!
I can see myself living here anyday
I love the couch and the room divider. I however get a rash when I see an all white kitchen because it seems everyone for the last 15-20 years has “white” bloody kitchens. 😒😬😬. Overall the house looks good!!
Please let me know where you hot that wall hung console that you put in the foyer ? 🙏🏽
WOW really miss Joel in this channel!!!
Nice condo.. But TV seems to placed a little higher... Also, the divider nice but it could be better if it was designed foldable...
Joel Bray!
The one and only!
Nice👏👏👏
Beautiful Condo. May I ask about the floors please? What material are they and what color? Thank you for sharing this inspiring space.
Really good♥
Hermoso!!!
Who is the black den light fixture by???
What would be the price of this kind of unit
Nice but where is the closet for my belongings?!
I'm sure many people love this design judging by the comments but it's just not my vibe. It feels so dated and I'm much more into modern, sleek aesthetics or even boho done well. It somehow doesn't feel cozy, welcoming or inviting to me either, which is a shame.
Could you please tell me where the wall hanging two drawer console by the door is from? I’ve been trying to purchase one for my home for the same purpose.
Where’s the desk from?
What is the art’s name on the frame tv ??
I can't wait to show my daughter how 650 sq ft can look lite and airy and still function.
#storagerrom. Why no sideboard under the TV? Why no bedside cabinets, why no desk with drawers on the left and right?
What kind of floor is that?
The sculptural vintage sofa and wood slat wall really add visual interest to the space, Not liking the bedroom though. Overall good job done working well with a small space.
Nice open concept wall but the work space is really not functional
Living room is nice. Bedroom not so much. That green will get old very quickly
Don’t worry about it, it’s just paint.
omg what is the budget for this work?
Mineee
The bedroom is gorgeous. Yes to tearing down the wall in the living area, but NO to the room divider. You used up precious space and made the areas feel teeny tiny. The little coffee table looks ridiculous with the large sofa. Where is the TV cord? The shower curtain rod needs to be raised.
You seem like a design professional, tell me more 🤗
What do you mean where is the TV cord?
I wanted to enter but I have to be in Ontario? 😞
Love the condo but hate the divider, it totally shuts down the flow of the apartment by taking away it’s open floor plan. It feels as if the air stops and I’m stifled. Otherwise good work.
