The most Disney Expert of families I can think of, and of COURSE you guys pack the Swedish pancakes! lol. That was brilliant. (I'm Nancy's Twin E if that helps) Great Tips and Thank you

      Also, what packing cubes are those? What have you found to be good sizes? Like the Large -> Small variety sets, or all the same size? I've never heard of those, but they look amazing.

      You're welcome! I hope you have a great trip. Just remember not to bring anything in glass containers or they won't let those through - but anything else should be good 😊 I can't remember if I showed this or not, but we always brought our own popcorn too as the kids always saw that and wanted it but it's so expensive so I never want to buy it! I also felt like the more healthy food I brought for us, the more I was ok with spending money (and calories!) on a special treat that you can only get in the parks.

      For the packing cubes, I use two sizes: the Pack-It Cube (amzn.to/2IRfQKN) and the Pack-It Full Cube (amzn.to/2MdVwVV). I've never found it worth it, for myself or family, to get any of the smaller cubes. If you wanted to separate items out more, then you may want to get some of the smaller sizes but if I have more space in a cube, then I just put multiple items in the same one (so for trips I will typically put shirts, underwear, socks, and PJs in one cube and shorts/pants/jeans in another - unless it's a really long trip and we can't do laundry then I will pack more cubes per person but then, still, I'm filling up the cubes and don't need anything smaller - does that make sense?). I love the larger (Full) cubes for packing jackets for the whole family and now I have a large one that houses all of the family's swim suits and rash guards so they are always in one place and easy to access. I've used packing cubes for many years now and I can't imagine packing for any trip without them - they help me stay so organized (especially since I have a color/design per person) and we can pack everyone in one suitcase (or two) without everyone's clothes getting mixed up. I love them!

    • @SaraWeston
      @SaraWeston  5 лет назад

      Yes, bringing the PJs along had helped so much! Everyone is so much less cranky when they can just fall asleep in the car. I have see quite a few parents put their little little kids in PJs while still in the park to fall asleep in a stroller but my kids were typically too stimulated by everything for that to make sense for us. Thanks for watching!

    I would totally be pass holders to Disney if we lived close! I LOVE Disney, can't believe I missed this video! You bring such healthy foods! You should do a Disney vlog!

    • @SaraWeston
      @SaraWeston  7 лет назад

      Yes, we LOVE Disney! We don't currently have passes otherwise I would definitely consider doing a Disney vlog. I feel like I have so much info for families (especially with youngerish kids) on how to make the most out of your time at the parks. We're hoping to get passes again in 1 1/2 years, so maybe then...we'll see! When we are passholders, it's so easy to get burned out on the food in the park and just not feel really great afterwards so "healthier" foods are a must! (Plus we are saving so much money)
      On a completely unrelated note, I finally made it to a grocery store that carried Halo Top ice cream so I bought it from your recommendation and we LOVE it! I was able to resist and only eat half my container; my husband on the other hand... :) Thanks for the delicious/healthy recommendation :)

    You should freeze the bottles that leak. Then as the day goes it will melt and have ice cold water. That’s what we do with our extra bottles. Then if you stick them in a cold bag with other things they will keep it cold

    • @SaraWeston
      @SaraWeston  6 лет назад +1

      I finally invested in better aluminum bottles at Costco so the leaking isn't an issue any more :) Thanks for the tip though!

    How many ice packs will I need for the beating sun to withstand??

    • @SaraWeston
      @SaraWeston  5 лет назад +1

      I use one large blue ice and one medium sized one in our large blue food bag and that keeps our food good for the whole day, even in the hot sun. We do store that food bag underneath one of our strollers so it's not in direct sunlight so that also helps, I'm sure. I will also freeze some of the food to keep it fresher (like sandwiches or the meat) and there have been times, even on hot days, that the food hasn't completely defrosted by the time lunch comes around. Overall, Disneyland is very well shaded with all of their big trees so, it may be hot out, but you are not always in direct sun.

    Can you do this at Universal Studios too?

    • @SaraWeston
      @SaraWeston  5 лет назад +1

      I'm not sure what is allowed and not at Universal Studios. The last time I went there was close to 15 years ago and before we had any kids. I would suggest looking at their website to see what is allowed in the park before you go. Sorry I can't be of more help.

      And they have a bunch of lockers for the rides. Depending of the size of your cooler, you can fit it in the locker.

      Ife Ogedengbe Thanks. We went December 2019. Coolers aren’t allowed but we did have a backpack full of snacks. For the rides with lockers we used the bigger lockers that were $2.

    What exact graco stroller is the single one? I need a different stroller for disney

    • @SaraWeston
      @SaraWeston  5 лет назад

      It is a Graco Travel System Stroller, I believe. We got it with our first almost ten years ago but I think that's what it's called. It came with the stroller, the car seat, and a car seat base. We love this stroller as it fits so much underneath for storage.

      Could you be more specific about what you're asking what I bring? It's been a while since I made this, so I don't remember specifics. But if it's something I showed you, then, yes, I bring it all into the park.

    Wait can you take all this into Disneyland ? I never been and I’m planning a trip to Disneyland soon

    • @SaraWeston
      @SaraWeston  5 лет назад +2

      Yes! I always take this much in with me. They really don't care how much you bring. All of it does have to be looked through at security so just be prepared that it can take a little while to get through that part. My husband and I have a bit of a system to help us get through it faster. I go in front and have some bags with me that are ready to be searched (zippers are undone) and hand them over. Then my husband will prep other bags for me and hand them to me. Then I will either zip up bags and hand them back to him to set on the stoller or I won't zip them and just hand them back to him. Yes, we have had a few things fall out every once in a while but not too many times. We then wait until we've cleared security and find a place to put all the bags back where they belong in the stoller. That helps to not hold up the line for others and you feel like you are rushed to get everything back where you want it - cause, let's be real, it can be like a puzzle fitting everything into a stroller just right when you have that much stuff. When are you going? We went back in September and I recorded our time there including more tips on how to make the most out of your day. I haven't had the time to edit and post it yet to my Channel, but I will try if I might be able to get it out there in time before you go (if it's not too soon in the future). Regardless, I hope you have an amazing time!

    I don’t understand why Disney gives out free cups of water when that is Wastefull of cups. If you tell them that you have a water bottle or a refillable cup why can’t they just refill your cup for you instead of using a plastic or paper cup that you are later going to throw away.

    • @SaraWeston
      @SaraWeston  5 лет назад +2

      They actually have many places all over both parks to be able to refill your resuable water bottles. All the water in the parks is filtered water (including any water you find at a sink). My guess as to why they wouldn't be able to refill a cup for you at a restaurant is sanitary reasons. It probably goes against some health code to be able to do that.

    How do you cook the sausage there

    • @SaraWeston
      @SaraWeston  5 лет назад

      I don't. The sausage I cook is pre-cooked and my kids (and us) just eat it cold. It's the Hillshire Farms brand.
