Packing for Disneyland Part II - What We Bring
Now that we’ve learned how to save a little cash from Packing for Disneyland Part I, let’s talk about all the stuffy stuff that’s required to survive a day at the Magic Kingdom with a toddler. It sure does seem like A LOT and I’m sure I can streamline a little here and there but the over packer in me “needs” all this stuff. And to be honest, it really doesn’t take up that much space once it’s all organized.

What I Pack for my Toddler and I
What I pack varies a bit from summer to winter but most of the stuff is essential basics. The seasonal items are the water fan, splash pad water clothes and shoes and the winter stroller blanket. Even though my kiddo isn’t in diapers anymore, I still love using my Petunia Pickle Bottom Sashay Satchel. I really like the layout and a huge bonus, it turns into a backpack! Occasionally we will ditch the stroller and walk around for a few hours and it’s really nice to just convert my hanging bag to a backpack on the fly. My PPB bag houses:
• Extra set of clothing for my toddler (top, bottom, socks and undies) and an extra coordinating shirt
• USB phone battery charger and USB cable
• Wipes and Flushable wipes
• First Aid kits (also includes sunscreen, deodorant and kitchen sink)
• Camera with extra battery and fancy pants lens
• Chapstick. I’m an addict.
• Lotion and Hand Sanitizer
• And a secret toy
In a different bag, I fill up all the other essentials that will later be thrown into my stroller basket for convenient use. Those items are:
• Stroller blanket and/or Splash pad water clothes with water shoes
• Change of Jammies (stays in car)
• A set of warm/evening clothes
• Snack Bag
• Water Bottle
• Water Fan
How I pack/organize it
I know there are a million different ways to pack all the essentials up in an organized fashion, but since I fell victim to the Petunia Pickle Bottom cult that’s just how I do it. As I said before, I really like using the PPB Sashay Satchel for our Disney trips. I’ve modified it so I can hang it over the handle bar on my stroller. Inside, I pack two Powder Room Cases (PRC’s) that house my camera in one and my first aid/essentials in the other. In the two pockets I pack the wipes and the other my phone battery pack.
In a different bag, I use one from the Disney Store; I pack all the other loose items that will eventually go into my stroller basket. I don’t like to bring a bunch of bags into the park because if it’s in a bag, security has to go through it. I also stick my cooler in the stroller basket towards the back for easy access.
I also own the PPB Whereabouts wallet. It’s the perfect size to pack the cards, cash, chapstick and phone. I just hook it to my belt loop and it’s always right by my side so I can be hands-free!
