Awesome cover, and slammin' guitar and piano solo's; best musical guest that Letterman ever had! I suppose Paul's guitarist did a great solo too, but since he was turned down I guess we'll never know... ;-)
@engel220 Well Lemmy has a very unique style of bass playing. He plays bass like a rhythm guitar, which is still uncommon, even in today's music. So regardless of anybody's opinion about Motorhead or Lemmy, Lemmy is a true renegade in rock and roll. and he also happens to be GOD
@psychobillysardo Hey pal, it's not "easy chords" and "alcoholic fast rockers" as you say, it's ROCK N' ROLL, Motörhead is the greatest alive manifestation of it, Lemmy is rock and rock is Lemmy, is about a lifestyle, is about the passion that old guy puts into his music. And what the hell is that thing "Learn to appreciate good musicians"? You think Motörhead are bad musicians? Please, they don't need to be Berklee graduates or some other places like that to be good.
The guy missed the name of the song, and the name of the album. Plus he's doing a bad joke at the end. If it wasn't for live TV, Lemmy would have kicked his ass back to Hell ! (check the insane piano solo at 1:30 o_O)
@psychobillysardo And they don't need to be psycho progressive complicated musicians to be good, they are awesome as they are just because they live for what they do and they do it well, they pour their lives in it, I'm sure that without Motörhead, Deep Purple, Rainbow and Iron Maiden heavy metal would be much different, people like Lemmy forged today's music, you can't call that a bad musician, the guy whose music is iconic to good time. Just think about it.
you can tell lemmy is pissed at letterman for not saying the album name when he walks out
He did though
@@bonkeydollocks1879Motörhead is their self titled debut, he was holding 1916
Lemmy always looked pissed
Letterman or Paul Shaffers band was always top notch and paired with Lemmy they were amazing. Great work by Paul!
Is it Rock And Roll enough for you?
It is Rock And Roll enough for me... Completely satisfy my ears.
A Legend covers a Legend!
Nothing on Letterman rocked as hard as this. EVER.

Over the years I've probably watched this video 50 times and my favorite part is when paul schaffer holds his ears when they start playing
LMAO i've probably watched it 10 times never catched that, ty!
Hahahaha never noticed that😂
@@Leo-gz1tm I mean TBH I probably would too haha
"born to lose, lived to win!" RIP Lemmy
I was born to lose, I live to win and I WON all i want! ❤ Never lose!
The most awesome Chuck Berry cover I've ever heard! Lemmy is truly a genius. Sadly though, he is not appreciated as he deserves to be...
On this or in general, i surely appreciate his music.
Lemmy is playing chords. The other player is playing the blues line you can hear.
Le piano vrombit, la batterie t’explose le cerveau, les guitares crachent, elles sont rugueuses, c’est brutal, la basse est absorbée, c’est ROCK 🤘🏼
True rock! ❤❤❤
motörhead mit blues klavier, das is mal was neues
geil!

can't stop the train gotta let it roll on!!!
Just curious, but do we really need a second bass player on this song?
1:35 That dude felt the power of RnR. Everyone who plays with Lemmy feel it with 1st seconds \m/
Lemmy was a real rocker❤
@Fabzil
erh..the song is called "let it rock"...
@psychobillysardo

Paul Shaffer
5 more days until 25th anniversary
Holy crap, I just found my own comment from 5 years ago, but dang it, I missed the 30th anniversary
I think I know where Hugh Jackman got his inspiration for Wolverine from ... Lemmy rocks ... /
what does letterman say they have to do if motörhead will ever be there again? didn't get that...
what does he say at the end? close the team center? whats that mean?
it was a trope of a whole bunch of 80s films, putting on a concert to save a community centre from an evil real estate developer.
it`s like a hard version of chuck berry....cool
