      yeah ive got friends that do crazy colors on all their guns. and i get it, you want to make it special and unique to you, its just not for me. now i have had a couple guns cerakoted in camo patterns myself. neutral and darker colors i dont mind and in some cases i think look really good. i even know of a guy that got his platypus done in like a plum purple and black and it looks pretty cool honestly.

    For those talking crap about turkish made weapons & referencing the xp pro , I have Tisas pistols and they have quality that's found on top tier for a fraction of the price. I don't do competition, I do practical training & I'm not worried as much as where they're made as much as functionality, parts/accessories availability & accuracy. If I can get those a lot cheaper in a Turkish made, then that's where I'm getting it.

    If the platypus was a game changer, wait til Fusion releases the XP Pro. 400 less than the base platypus and if it's all they're saying it is, it'll definitely be a game changer. Who wouldn't want a good 2011 type for right around 1k?

    • @Targetacquiredtv
      @Targetacquiredtv  17 дней назад +2

      im not sold on it. it only comes in 4 inch model or close to that and looks snappy in videos ive seen. aslo doesnt offer direct optic mounting like the platypus does so i feel they missed an opportunity there. and then its not even a fraction as customizable as the platypus. so while it does look cool and price point is nice, i think the platypus is a much better option.

    • @vetsunite
      @vetsunite 17 дней назад +2

      @Targetacquiredtv notice I compared base models. The XP Pro base is going to be the better deal than platypus base. If you're wanting custom, platypus is the way because nobody else offers it like they do.

    Tip: Once you decide on the colors you want in the customizer, take the time to order some Cerakote swatches. You can get 10 swatches for free just pay shipping. That's how I decided on Tungsten and Midnight blue combo.
    Also, the Cerakote prices have changed lately. The pistol I ordered in May for $1880 is now $2100 on the website. Most of the cost is in the way the charge for Cerakote backfills. Use Armor black if you're building 1 now. No charge for it.

    Great video, brother. I believe you can contact SA to see if they can do a re-fit for a bull barrel.
    SA just finished my build today. Hopefully I will have in my hands by next week depending on ship time.
    I ordered on March 21st when the wait times were 14-17 weeks. Took 1 day shy of 15 weeks to get ready to ship. I even ordered with an extra barrel, threaded, so I can suppress it. Likely took a few extra days to fit the barrel.
    To give idea of the price, it’s 5”, 2 colors total, prickle grip, raw bull barrel, funnel, ambi-safety, full rail, competition 2.5-3lb flat face trigger, RMR cut, NO IRONS so it has a totally clean top & a custom serial number. $2000 exactly + $380 for the extra black nitrite threaded barrel. Going to V8 port and copper PVD matte/flat finish the crowned raw barrel.

If you can find a Bul Armory SAS tac 5 it has one of the best triggers in that price range which is much better than a Staccato P. And the slide is smoother.
