How to Marble Dye Leather (Shaving Cream Technique)

In this video, I’ll show you how to marble dye a piece of vegetable tanned leather!
You’ll need:
- A piece of veg tan leather
- Fiebing’s Dye
- Cheap shaving cream
- A dropper
- Rubber gloves
- Aluminum foil
- Neatsfoot oil
- Newspaper
- Paper towels
- Masking tape
- Fiebing’s Saddle Lac
- A piece of cardboard

I make paper using this method, so it's good to know it work on leather. You got some really nice results.
Did you know that you can often get better results from a second or even a third dip into the same mix? Often I scrap the first sheet of paper and use the second and third dips.
