i need to depage text books. meaning saw the spine off the book quickly. right i got alot of books i want to turn digital. i tried a jigsaw from walmart it didn't work. im still weighing my options. i am considering a circular saw looks to be more powerful. for some reason sawing the spine off a book is very difficult. i have an r40 cannon scanner just feed in a stack of papers and it rapidly turns them into digital pdf's. and also the sawing of pages needs to clean. not alot of crinkle or pages stuck together. need a powerful way to cut and one that is fast. i am about to buy a wood cutting stand and some clamps also. i trried the ryobi circular box cutter it works but it's rather slow, i can only cut small clumps of papers at a time, and i also got to manualy rip apart the book with my hand prior to doing those cuts which is more time and effort than i'd like.

The little round button is for long cuts where you don't want to continuously hold down the trigger a long time. To use, depress the trigger fully, then push & hold in the small button and release the trigger. You'll find that the trigger will stay depressed, and the jigsaw will continue to run. This way, you can more firmly grip the saw handle and not have to focus on keeping your index &/or middle finger(s) on the trigger. To discontinue the hold button, FULLY depress the trigger (and you'll see/feel/hear a click when the little button pops out).. then release the trigger, and the motor will stop. Hope this helps.

Great video. I was always curious how the wings on the bottom rack turned out, being closer to the hot coals than the top rack. Both racks cook evenly?

I make paper using this method, so it's good to know it work on leather. You got some really nice results. Did you know that you can often get better results from a second or even a third dip into the same mix? Often I scrap the first sheet of paper and use the second and third dips.
