Nice Video Gagan,thanks. You say 'comfort' in a casual way, I think comfort is an absolute major necessity for a car. Comfort dynamics is everything. Its demotivating to drive a car which feels like a state transport bus although very fast. For enthusiasts its hatch back like swift or the more expensive Audi's Q1. In city with the body to power ratio, large vehicles are bound to have lower torque till 40-50 kmph. One has to adapt and change the driving technique for such vehicles in the city,in view of our Indian Traffic density! No hurry and no zipping overtakes, its supposed to glide slowly and maintain constant speed as far as possible. On the Highway its a different story, above say 1200 rpm mostly. We have to draw a balance as per the vehicle size.If more power is required ,one has no option but to resort to diesel engines whatever be the brand of car.
buy kia, hector is chinise car. i doubt it will stay like this, and just came to know mg just launched their new version of this car in international market. they are selling their old stock here
MG is British brand owned by Chinese Company and Manufactured in India so its ideally Indian Manufactured car... JLR Is Indian company, Nope its just owned by TATA group.. If you are looking for spacious & comfortable car then GO for HECTOR. I have booked Hector DCT Sharp Variant and in my opinion build quality of MG hector is better than KIA Seltos. No offense of any Indian those promote Indian product but remember you are going to pay money from your pocket so buy what is best for you..
@@prashant1478 JLR is not an indian company just because tata bought it's shares. Their operation and R&D is still in UK and other parts of the world as it was before. It's a totally different story in case of hector. Hector is a rebadged Baojun 530 which has nothing british in it. It's a product from SAIC-GM-Wuling. A partnership between chinese SAIC motors and american General motors. It only has the MG brand name. The old MG brand don't even exist now. The petrol engine and gearbox are from SAIC motors which is a chinese company. They developed it with help of GM. It is totally deceptive to advertise it as a british car. It came out of a chinese-american partnership.
Hi Gagan can you please let me know if the new 2021 MG Hector DCT is 8 speed with ECO mode. You in the video said it would have been good if the DCT was a 7 gear. Also i have taken the test drive and at the signal i have did use the hold function and at traffic green i did not feel that the car was not moving. Only thing which concerned me was at the U turn the tyres screeched may i took a harsh you turn. In the next one i was mild did not hear the sound. The passenger seat is really comfortable and the car glides at high speed. Parking will be definitely me an issue in cities like Hyderabad and also making u turn where the roads are narrow you have to make minimum two attempts to make a U Turn. Also can you please let me know if MG made any changes in the new 2021 MG Hector 5 seater DCT option.

Tata harrier any day, no MNC car company can manufacture individually.They either need to give SAIC some controls to manufacture or either leave china.Thats why Chinese government help their local company to copy MNCs and help local companies to prosper by copying everything (well almost), and still people prefer VW in China and other brands then Chinese brands and here some fools are encouraging Chinese MG instead of Tata for sake of some features.And yeah MG is here for one thing: Making money from India,it is owned by Chinese government (which is literally hell on Earth for animals and other rights and wants to kill India) whereas tata is owned by Mr.Ratan Tata who donates humongous amounts to poor. Praising indian products is good but hating other brand products which are providing great features Is not good. People who are buying cars have their own requirements but basic requirements for today is airbags, passive entry keyless start, sunroof, good infotainment system etc but people also want some funky features which are different from other cars. And MG hector promises to do that it has got everything which customers are attracted to. Same with the case with harrier it has got strongest platform in its segment which is unique and imposing as well. But every cars has their own pros and cons. And at last MG sold hector in such great numbers that they closed the booking of hector till 2020..
It happens that after first service, mileage increases. Does this true ? Also you would be testing a new car then would the mileage figures be high than told in the video ?

Why are you comparing cars of different segment, xuv300 is a segment below , also seltos is kind of a compact suv not full blown suv like harrier or hector , and of course verna is sedan, that being said if your budget is close to 15lk go with seltos, i have done my research!!

bhai iska matlab to ye hai na ki gaadi agar araam se hi chalna pasand karti hai to mg ne banate samay iski drivability pe dhyaan nai diya. Koi kyun hamesha ARAAM se hi chalata rahega. Gaadi aisi honi chahiye jo owner ke hisaab se chale, naa ki owner uske hisaab se.
petrol i20 ka bhi yahi scene hai. araam se chalao varna mileage nai degi. LINEAR ACCELERATiON hai bohot. ye to galat baat hai. seedhe seedhe ye baat hai ki engine bohot hi ghatiya hai. maruti ke petrols mein mileage aur power dono hoti hai hamesha chahe jaise chalao. Ford aur Maruti ke alava koi bhi company engine pe dhyaan nai deti hai. sirf gimicky features daalti rehti hai logon ko attract karne ke liye. well, this has to stop.
Bhai Not everyone prefer Fast engines in SUVs which are pseudo in Nature. Hector Petrol is powerful and can do illegal speeds in good time but low end is definitely not as good as any Mini SUV like Creta or Seltos. Not to forget that Hector is heavy, a lot.
Driving M G Hector Smart Automatic for 12months in Delhi and after consulting company experts etc. and following their instructions etc.. I am not getting more than 7 to 7.25 kmpl in City driving. Any Important Tip that can improve the Average to at least 9.50 / 10 Kmpl. Please suggest. Thanks
U need to slowly accelarate the vehicle and have to slowly stop the vehicle.sudden acceleration and stopping vehicle makes a drastic dip in overall average.
Style Matlab looks or looks sabka apna alag alag matter karta he, wese performance wise in diesel both cars are good but slightly harrier is better in overall driving dynamics

Go for seltos now. Creta will be updated soon with the engines and platform you get on the seltos. So it's better to buy seltos now or wait for 2020 creta if you want hyundai.
Seltos is better anyday in petrol automatic. Faaar better than this. Better mileage, performance, gearbox. Hector is too heavy and boxy which drastically affects it's fuel efficiency. It's 1500 kg+. ARAI mileage is 16.5 km/l for Seltos DCT and 13.9 km/l for the Hector DCT. Expecting the 1.4L with DCT to come in the 2020 creta.

Sorry for late reply, actually Hector Sharp variant has many features like Powerful and torquey diesel engine, panoramic sunroof, big boot, portrait position infotainment system, features over voice command, electronic tailgate open-close feature which Seltos doesn't has, if you are comfortable without these features then blindly go for Seltos, its good package itself in it's category (which is compact SUV where Hector is Mid Size SUV) if not then stick with Hector.
Both are same things DCT is general word used to describe technology name i.e, dual clutch technology and DSG is branding of DCT technology used by Volkswagen group. In short both are same things

Good review which exactly tells what one wants to know. On the other hand I feel a diesel automatic forms a better highway cruiser which MG didn't bother to launch.
@@GaganChoudhary I didn't think about it but now when I do it surely makes sense that fiat wants compass to have a USP over these two. Moreover harrier is said to be coming with hyundai 6 speed AT, is that because FCA's 9 speed will be too expensive? What gearbox will MG have in its diesel ?
Both car has different nature and both are good cars but if you need only diesel go with Harrier as MG has closed booking for this year, I would suggest you to delay your buying as Tata is about to update some technical features and introduce Harrier with retuned BS 6 engine in the end of this year or early next year.

Creta will get updated in 2020 with the new platform and engines. The same engines and platform that comes in the seltos will be used in 2020 creta. Seltos is mechanically the 2020 creta in terms of engines, platform etc. Why would anyone buy the older model creta when the seltos is already available with next gen engines and platform.

Not really. I haven't seen any difference in mileage. Maybe in manual cars, it'll increase because you learn to drive the car better over time.

Hello Sir , I had booked MG Hector DCT Petrol however Is it worth buy specially from fuel efficiency ..expecting around 10 Kmpl in city or slightly higher in highway. Mostly drive in City.. Should I go ahead with this or consider Kia Seltos DCT.. Appreciate your suggestion..

Why are you comparing cars of different segment, xuv300 is a segment below , also seltos is kind of a compact suv not full blown suv like harrier or hector , and of course verna is sedan, that being said if your budget is close to 15lk go with seltos, i have done my research!!
Verna is the best, seltos is promising, harrier is a bit pricy. Hector isnt good.

petrol i20 ka bhi yahi scene hai. araam se chalao varna mileage nai degi. LINEAR ACCELERATiON hai bohot. ye to galat baat hai. seedhe seedhe ye baat hai ki engine bohot hi ghatiya hai. maruti ke petrols mein mileage aur power dono hoti hai hamesha chahe jaise chalao.
Ford aur Maruti ke alava koi bhi company engine pe dhyaan nai deti hai. sirf gimicky features daalti rehti hai logon ko attract karne ke liye. well, this has to stop.
Bhai Not everyone prefer Fast engines in SUVs which are pseudo in Nature. Hector Petrol is powerful and can do illegal speeds in good time but low end is definitely not as good as any Mini SUV like Creta or Seltos. Not to forget that Hector is heavy, a lot.

U need to slowly accelarate the vehicle and have to slowly stop the vehicle.sudden acceleration and stopping vehicle makes a drastic dip in overall average.

Go for seltos now. Creta will be updated soon with the engines and platform you get on the seltos. So it's better to buy seltos now or wait for 2020 creta if you want hyundai.
Seltos is better anyday in petrol automatic. Faaar better than this. Better mileage, performance, gearbox. Hector is too heavy and boxy which drastically affects it's fuel efficiency. It's 1500 kg+. ARAI mileage is 16.5 km/l for Seltos DCT and 13.9 km/l for the Hector DCT. Expecting the 1.4L with DCT to come in the 2020 creta.

Sorry for late reply, actually Hector Sharp variant has many features like Powerful and torquey diesel engine, panoramic sunroof, big boot, portrait position infotainment system, features over voice command, electronic tailgate open-close feature which Seltos doesn't has, if you are comfortable without these features then blindly go for Seltos, its good package itself in it's category (which is compact SUV where Hector is Mid Size SUV) if not then stick with Hector.

What is difference between DCT and DSG system?? Which one is good and what is pros and cons for each gear box.
Both are same things DCT is general word used to describe technology name i.e, dual clutch technology and DSG is branding of DCT technology used by Volkswagen group.
In short both are same things

Good review which exactly tells what one wants to know. On the other hand I feel a diesel automatic forms a better highway cruiser which MG didn't bother to launch.
Fiat might have not given that to MG. Probably both Harrier and hector will get Diesel AT together and that will be a BS6 one.
@@GaganChoudhary I didn't think about it but now when I do it surely makes sense that fiat wants compass to have a USP over these two. Moreover harrier is said to be coming with hyundai 6 speed AT, is that because FCA's 9 speed will be too expensive? What gearbox will MG have in its diesel ?

Both car has different nature and both are good cars but if you need only diesel go with Harrier as MG has closed booking for this year, I would suggest you to delay your buying as Tata is about to update some technical features and introduce Harrier with retuned BS 6 engine in the end of this year or early next year.

Creta will get updated in 2020 with the new platform and engines. The same engines and platform that comes in the seltos will be used in 2020 creta. Seltos is mechanically the 2020 creta in terms of engines, platform etc. Why would anyone buy the older model creta when the seltos is already available with next gen engines and platform.
