First of all you can't compare these two, as both are of different sub- segment, bt if you still want to compare then MG Hector has a clear edge over Kia Seltos. Accept it.
In terms of stability, ride control, performance and space , MG hector is far better than Kia Seltos . Futher MG hector looks premium overloaded with hitech features.

I was in dual opine that whether the KIA seltos is good or the MG Hector. When I searched, the first video was this. It showed me some realistic information about the both. Sir, a few points
-the Seltos does not need more ground clearance. 190mm is more than sufficient for the Seltos, because for comparison sakes the Skoda Kodiaq is 10 mm lower.
If it had more ground clearance it would give off all senses of proportion and look like the MG Hector from the side.
Plus, a responsible owner will NOT take the seltos offroad because at the end of the day it is a Front Wheel Drivetrain.
-What you call cluttered in the Seltos is actually a redefinition of ergonomics and functionality exhibited through the shortcut buttons on the infotainment, which is a severe miss in the Hector.
- The layout of the home screen is adjustable to suit various needs by all means.
-The Screen of the Hector only looks bigger while both are 10", and from a driver's POV, it is much better to have a screen at that height in the Seltos than in the Hector

About to buy a car but super confused between these two (Sharp DCT petrol vs HTX IVT petrol). I would buy hector hands down for the space that it offers. Another very important reason to prefer Hector will be that Sharp DCT offers 6 airbags (+ ESP + traction control) compared to 2 airbags in the tech line HTX variant with no ESP and no traction control. But what is confusing me is the mileage. For a city traffic like Bangalore (those who drive in Bangalore can completely relate to this), I am preferring an automatic. For Hector, I feel it will give me a mileage between 8 and 9 kmpl (hybrid would have given more but it doesn't come in automatic) while Seltos will give me between 11 and 12 (talking about the petrol version). Can you please clarify if am wrong. Thanks.
Edit : I completely understand that Hector is around 350 kgs heavier and that will impact the mileage, but just wanted to know the mileage figures so that I make a data backed decision rather than guessing. I've seen other videos where mileage of Hector DCT is analysed with a mix of city and highway traffic but couldn't find a video which deals with Hector mileage exclusively in city traffic.

2. Drive, Ride & Handling (separately)
3. Traffic drive, City drive & Highway drive (separately)
4. Mileage
5. NVH + etc if you would add something to it....
Suggest me a best automatic of the two....

One most important point that has been missed out is AFTER SALES SERVICE. Like in gurgaon, MG hector has a theroy of having one showroom in one city to remove price competitiveness between dealers. In gurgaon they have only one showroom. But KIA Seltos has 3 showroom. What if that 1 showroom of MG hector provide BAD SERVICE. We will have no where to go but for KIA seltos we will be able to try other showrooms.

Safty features: Both have all safety features rather hector does not have blind spot monitor.
Space : Seltos have enough space for a family rathe hector have more space on the cost of mileage, pickup and poor handling.
Comfort n luxury: Seltos have Wireless charger, ventilated seats, headup display, Drvm, Uv cut glass, rear window curtains, air purifier, multi drive modes and multi traction modes.
Mg have pnoramic suroof against simple one in seltos, auto boot open and heated orvm.
Bs 6 engine : Seltos have much refined bs6 engine and kia tested this engine on bs4 fuel over 2.5 lac k.m so don't u worry bro.
Warranty: Hector 5yrs Seltos 3 yrs and one can get additional 2 yrs by paying 19k not a big deal.
Now u decide which one is more value for money....

For the infotainment system in MG definitely its big screen but you have to take your eyes off the road for even the slightest setting change.
Proportion of both cars, all know the easy winner name.
Air Purifier, first of all, its a purifier, something that airwick n other will not get you.
Verdict: If you like to drive a car yourself, seltos is winner any day.
If you are rich enough to own a driver and like to sit at the back MG is the car.

EcoSport for that price offers more features and Kia better rear space. EcoSport is more fun to drive, Kia looks more fresh in design. Both are apt products.

Why you are behind the ground clearance?? 190 is more than enough.. in fact it’s more safer having less ground clearance as it keeps Centre of gravity stable. Vehicles with higher ground clearance are more prone to easily topple or rollover.. I have driven 163mm sedan in country side with worst of potholes and no issue all we have to down the speed a little
