Hi. Do you have data regarding overnight battery drain on the exynos 2400? I have preordered S24 base model but thinking twice to get the plus model instead.
@@AndroidAddicts Hi. Really appreciate your effort for this. I have subscribe to your channel. I usually try to optimise battery life. Thus, I turn off all unnecessary stuff such as syncing, data, wifi calling and AOD. I turn on power saving, dark mode and eye comfort shield. Thanks a lot.
They were very similar although the 2400 wasn't beating the 8G3 like it did here. I've put all the results (and the previous failed test) here: www.androidaddicts.online/2024/01/29/s24-ultra-vs-s24-plus-vs-s22-ultra-vs-s23-ultra-battery-drain-test/
Hey Android Addict. In my little testing and comparison between the S24+ (exynos) and the S23U I've reached pretty similar battery behavior while using the device. However, in idle the S24+ has a much higher battery consumption. It is losing around 15%-20% in 6-7 hours. That seems not normal. What is your experience with it and do you expect a fix for that?
Hi there, I've not experienced that personally but I've heard others are losing a lot in standby. I did a test (that another commenter requested) where I had the phone left overnight with just calls allowed (no WiFi calling, no AOD etc) and I only lost 6% in about 9.5-10 hours of standby - so I wonder if it's something else causing the drain. I've had the phones on my desk the last few weeks and didn't notice a big difference between them whilst they all sat around waiting for their various tests but I'll definitely look in the S24+ a bit closer from now on!
@@AndroidAddicts thank you very much. I guess you are right, in like 2 of 10 nights i have a normal battery drain. It seems like something different is causing it.
As an S22 ultra exynos user i can still appreciate the phone is still a beast even in 2024. Battery life isn't super but i can get 5.5-6 hours of SOT which is still fine
Well there you have it folks it's official! My S22 Ultra battery does suck. i was wondering if it was just mine but I see it is not. Thanks for the video!
@AndroidAddicts ok actually 6-7 hrs is enough for me but when I m seeing its battery capacity videos..which goes over 10hrs then I feel little bit afraid... otherwise the phn is literally superb🙂
Yeah don't worry about it. If you did exactly what I did in this test you'd get around the same time. But no one uses their phone like this (13hs straight) so I wouldn't worry about it 👌
Yeah it's a nice to not need to worry about your phone running down during the day - mind you even with the S23U, I didn't worry about battery life in the day with normal use 👍 Enjoy your S24U when it arrives!
That might be normal - don't forget this test was run over 13 hours straight - not allowing for general use throughout the whole of a normal person's day - i.e waking up at 7am and sleeping at say 11pm (16 hours in total)
I'd go with the Ultra overall for the bigger screen. It still has excellent battery life - I can easily use it for a day without thinking of charging it
Just got s 24 ultra. Charged my s23 ultra and 24 at the same level, turned airplane mode and left them idle. And here is the shocker. S23 over the course of 15 hours consistently used less battery, about 5% less starting after a 2 hour-run. Why?
In most tested difference its max 30minutes s23u vs s24u. without touching the screen for any test. Unless we're comparing watching Netflix or RUclips... 13h 24u won't last in my life. The s21+ lasted me 9 hours on Wi-Fi and about 8 hours on LTE. I thought the s23u actually lasted 12 hours, but I never reached 10 hours. Wednesday 8-9 a.m. another thing is we don't know what condition the battery is in. Besides, after One UI 6.0 I have the impression that the battery life is much worse.
I'm sure if you repeat the same test the numbers would be different that's how it is battery life cannot be measured through a microscope.. but yes it would give a clear trend.. From what I understand this 8th gen 3 is absolutely much better efficient and powerful than 8th Gen 2 which was all to be a super flagship in Android. Exynos seems to have become better but still can't stand with the Snapdragon I would not pay that kind of money on s24 plus just because it's exynos.. And It's good to see an ear old as 23 ultra after all these updates still doing good
Yeah the S23 Ultra is still a fantastic phone. Repeating the tests would probably give subtle differences I agree but this will give an idea as to how each phone/chipset performs whilst running these apps. Thanks for watching!

@@richi2870yeah its better now
Is this test on wifi?? How it will last if used by 5G sim???
that's a good question , since most of us uses the mobile with sim and mobile data .
Great video amazing how the Snapdragon G3 is so much better and efficient than the Exynos 2400 with almost same battery
It's a big difference for sure - amazing the fact it has a larger screen to power too!
Amazing video thanks! Exynos 2400 is acceptable after all. But if you are a battery drainer s24 ultra is the one to go!
You're very welcome - thanks so much for watching! 💚
exynos 2400 in s 24+ is very different from SD8Gen3 in S24 Ultra. is 20% weaker when it comes to saving battery power.
It certainly appears that way at the moment
@@AndroidAddicts Do you think they will be able to optimize it to halve the difference between the Exynos 2400 and the Snapdragon 8Gen3?
Nice work
Thanks 🙏
You’re welcome 😊
Was the S24+ tested in native resolution or FHD+?
QHD
Great test...I really wish the S24+ had the Qualcomm chip here in Europe...But alas I had to spend the extra money on the S24 Ultra.
Thanks a lot - yeah it's a bit odd they went back to the Exynos chips but I guess it saves them money in the long run
anyway let's see how Exyows fares against the 8 gen 3
If youre not a hard gamer you dont need Qualcomm chips, E2400 is pretty good this year.
Thank you for this video. I am in India was very skeptical buying the exynos but now I can buy it after watching ur video. Thanks again.
You're very welcome. Greeting to India from the UK 🇮🇳🇬🇧💚
Hey, how used (in cycles) was used the battery of the 23 ultra?
Charged overnight every day for about 365 days 👍
@@AndroidAddicts then it's not very comparable to the s23 ultra. But overall pretty good score for the plus model
Hi. Do you have data regarding overnight battery drain on the exynos 2400? I have preordered S24 base model but thinking twice to get the plus model instead.
I don't have any data on it no but happy to get some. How do you normally have your phone overnight? On WiFi/Data? AOD on/off?
@@AndroidAddicts Hi. Really appreciate your effort for this. I have subscribe to your channel.
I usually try to optimise battery life. Thus, I turn off all unnecessary stuff such as syncing, data, wifi calling and AOD. I turn on power saving, dark mode and eye comfort shield. Thanks a lot.
OK going to try it tonight 👍
@@AndroidAddicts thank you. I've read reddit posts and RUclips comments complaining battery drain over night.
OK so I disconnected it at 100% at 10:30pm and had it set up how you described above - at 9am this morning it was at 96%. Hope that was helpful!
This would be perfect if you could include also an s23 base and s24 base with exynos
I would love to but can't afford to by them 😭😅
Great video, exactly what i needed to see. Thank you so much
Glad it was helpful!
Were the results the same in the first test? nice video
Please do Samsung's s24 plus vs s23 plus
As an S22 ultra exynos user i can still appreciate the phone is still a beast even in 2024. Battery life isn't super but i can get 5.5-6 hours of SOT which is still fine
That's not bad at all to be fair (for a 2 year old phone!)👍
Great video, honest and easy to follow
Thanks for the kind words, much appreciated 💚
I waited for this 😍😍😍
Thanks for watching! 💚
Thank you for this very detailed video!!
Glad it was helpful!
I have s24 ultra , charged in the morning and its 8:25 pm now and i still have 51% battery 🤗
Incredible! 😍😎👍💪💚
Your Great job will be remembered dude niice hard work its very easy to watch but to much hard to create
Thanks so much 💚 yeah this one wasn't easy 😅👍
Question. The exynos 2400 did well but will it do well in a couple of months? I distrust Exynos a lot.
This 2400 seems to me like a 8gen2.5 in performance. Is like in the middle between 8g2 and 8g3.
But I think overall is less efficient than 8gen2
@@sergiufintinari8088Seems more efficient than Gen 2 from what I've seen
That's something we'll have to wait and find out...
Nice practical test. Reviewers starting S23 and S24 have the same battery life are very shallow testers.
Thanks for watching! It does seem to me that the S24 is more efficient overall
Very weird; I had the S23 Ultra and the S24 Ultra and the S23 Ultra had a better battery life with me.
Well there you have it folks it's official! My S22 Ultra battery does suck. i was wondering if it was just mine but I see it is not. Thanks for the video!
You're welcome! Yeah it was never great in the S22 series sadly
Watching on my S24 Ultra violet 🔥
Niiiice 😎👍
display resolution of s24+ was FHD or QHD ?
QHD 👍
Hello, I appreciate your work, even if it is difficult, you did it, I will support you to the end ❤
Thanks so much - much appreciated! 💚
From India my s24 ultra is giving only 6 hrs of battery On a normal day using it from 7 days idk is there any fault or any suggestions
Throughout a whole 16-18 hour day you're probably getting normal results - don't forget the battery will take a bit of time to learn your habits too
@AndroidAddicts ok actually 6-7 hrs is enough for me but when I m seeing its battery capacity videos..which goes over 10hrs then I feel little bit afraid... otherwise the phn is literally superb🙂
Yeah don't worry about it. If you did exactly what I did in this test you'd get around the same time. But no one uses their phone like this (13hs straight) so I wouldn't worry about it 👌
My s22u exynos lasts barely 3 to 4hours on 100% to 0% charge
Either your S22U has a very degraded battery ir you got a low yield quality SoC unit.
Amazing 👏 review
These devices are the same thing for average daily user, but I'm upgrading to the s24 ultra from s22 ultra because the battery life is awesome
Yeah it's a nice to not need to worry about your phone running down during the day - mind you even with the S23U, I didn't worry about battery life in the day with normal use 👍 Enjoy your S24U when it arrives!
@AndroidAddicts Thank you so much, and great channel by the way, love your contents.
Thank you so much - it's really appreciated 💚
This test would be relevant only if all phones were NEW. The batteries in the older phones has been used for 1 or 2 years already.
I agree
Only relevant if you're looking to buy a new S22U or S23U I agree - this is really just for those looking to upgrade 👍
Exactly. You can't fairly compare a used battery with a new battery. Such comparisons don't make sense. Other features, yes.@@AndroidAddicts
No wrong. These phones never broke the 10 hours mark when they were brand new. The new standard set by s24 ultra with snap4 is pretty remarkable imo!
@@makdrumz it's still a biased comparison
Masterpiece video
Thank you so much 💚
Were they all on QHD+ also what brightness were they all set at for this test.
Yes thy were and all were set to 80% brightness
Resolution dont have difference. Check tests full hd vs wqhd+ battery drain.😂
Nice test ❤
Thanks 😁
My S24 Ultra does not last this long, even without heavy usage like in the video. The SOT is 6 to 7 hours max, and I have to run for a charger.
That might be normal - don't forget this test was run over 13 hours straight - not allowing for general use throughout the whole of a normal person's day - i.e waking up at 7am and sleeping at say 11pm (16 hours in total)
So between an S23 ultra or s24+ which one would you choose?
Note I don't do much photography
I'd go with the Ultra overall for the bigger screen. It still has excellent battery life - I can easily use it for a day without thinking of charging it
Hi can u do it again after updates to see if there is any difference?
(Thank you for the video)
I can't believe the 12% of s24+ gave u 1 hour of prime video
Pretty crazy stuff I agree!
Exynos 2400 for the win !!!!!!! I will get my S24 plus tomorrow!
Nice! I hope you'll enjoy it - it's a lovely phone!
Just got s 24 ultra. Charged my s23 ultra and 24 at the same level, turned airplane mode and left them idle. And here is the shocker. S23 over the course of 15 hours consistently used less battery, about 5% less starting after a 2 hour-run. Why?
Perfekt
Amazing job!
Mi S22U last 5 hrs 20 min, it is normal?
Thanks!
Yes I would say normal in a 'normal' day's usage 👍
Why is my s24 ultra dying at 5hrs and 48mins?
Depends - how are you using it?
In most tested difference its max 30minutes s23u vs s24u. without touching the screen for any test. Unless we're comparing watching Netflix or RUclips... 13h 24u won't last in my life. The s21+ lasted me 9 hours on Wi-Fi and about 8 hours on LTE. I thought the s23u actually lasted 12 hours, but I never reached 10 hours. Wednesday 8-9 a.m. another thing is we don't know what condition the battery is in. Besides, after One UI 6.0 I have the impression that the battery life is much worse.
Testing on Google maps should have been running on 4/5G network with wifi turned off.
What a great video❤
Thank you! 💚
@@AndroidAddicts Can you try 24 plus vs 23 plus battery drain test?
nice video, greetings from Brazil
Thanks so much! Greeting to Brazil from the UK! 💚
Does the battery of s24u learn the usage ?
So much tank u guy for this video
You're very welcome, thanks for watching 👍
resolution was set to max on s24+?
It sure was 👍
I'm sure if you repeat the same test the numbers would be different that's how it is battery life cannot be measured through a microscope.. but yes it would give a clear trend..
However, when comparing older phones we can't be certain about battery deterioration 🙄
We can be certain they've deteriorated 👍
Want to let everyone know, i got the s22 ultra 2 years ago, battery life has been pathetic since i got it. Im talking 4 or 5 hours and its done for.
Me sorprendio el exynos 2400
Odd. I thought S22 Exynos was especially bad...
Some settings like Bluetooth are not same on all the phones... Please make sure you turn off or turn on Bluetooth or any other settings which should be equal on all the phones...😇 rest is good👏🏻
It's true that the width of the pure frameless screen of the s22 ultra is wider than that of the s23 ultra, and that the s23 ultra is thinner than the s22 ultra?
