There are many stories about ivar being the boneless and might be:
1. he is literally boneless and has osteogenesis imperfecta, also known as brittle bone disease.
2. Fractured his bones during the fight and winning the battle and being “permanent” bone damage.
3. He fights like he is dancing on the battlefield and get his title “the boneless” for being flexible on battle.
No one really know if its literally or symbolic.
Imagine living your entire life going on raids and being a Viking and it all came down to being killed by an old man and a cripple

Quentin, I think Ivar is going to fight in wars but he's mostly going to serve as a strategic warrior. Sort of like playing chess, telling his men how to approach the situation. Ivar is all brains and he'll conquer places with his mind and orders.

+Beat I think the main issue with the show is the timeline. Having all these legendary guys together at the same time makes it difficult and seems rushed. Lagertha seems out of character now, I bet hirst just made her invade kattegat to transition power to Ragnars sons. And fine hair to bring the brothers together so they have a reason to form an army together = then you have the great heathen army.
+Beat People are saying hirst said the one eyed guy in the last episode is Odin on his way to kattegat to tell people about Ragnars death.. if it's true it's gonna be a crazy last few episodes.

Ragnar went to England not to raid buy yo get revenge on Ecbert but everyone there did not care for glory or the gods, only gold and would've turned on them the moment they found out. And Ragnar wanted his sons to have loyal people who followed the ways of the vikings so hence he killed them t9 keep his sons safe from dangers from within

"The end justifies the means." I bet Ragnar would have killed his own mother if it served his purpose. I couldn't muster anymore sympathy or even respect for Ragnar or his son after this level of treachery. You can be a sympathetic villain or anti-hero that viewers will still root for, but backstabbing your own men (and women in this case) just to further your own desires got me wishing for their downfall.
They were constantly doubting and disrespecting Ragnar, watch some earlier parts of the episode
But that doesn t justify killing them.

i think it was because if they were caught with them the english would think this is a scouting party and would torture ragnar and ivar for information of the main raiding party so they did it to avoid torture
It is easier to find them when they're a larger group. As Ragnar mentioned, he didn't plan to go back home. He bought all those men so that they would come with him, they weren't loyal, he just needed men to sail him to England. Obviously I can't tell you in more detail why without spoiling the rest of the season because I think it's pretty obvious what Ragnars plan is.

Because they were trapped in enemy territory, and:
1) Ragnar wanted to meet the enemy King, while everyone else wanted to escape.
2) Enemies were already trying to track them down. An old man and a cripple would attract less attention than a band of vikings.
3) The Vikings weren't loyal to Ragnar. In fact they blamed him for their situation. They were probably going to mutiny at some point.
