- This is a BASIC understanding of how flybarless controllers do what they do. They are somewhat more complicated to setup but this will give you the basic understanding of WHY and HOW they work.
thanks friend for explaining this stuff so that normal people can understand it.
This was fantastic! You should do a video on how a fly bar system works.
this was very helpful, im having an issue getting my rs4 off the ground
Nice vidio , good instructions
I have and old ion2 fly bar was thinking getting a new flybarless
700 but was concerned un setting it up. But through your presentation
I now understand its easer to fly
And looks like less parts to break
So you might have convinced me
To get one of these for my birthday
Present to me.
Excellent video thank you. Hope you do more
Good job. Your analogies work well.
Perfect analogy for control system
Very informative video
very nice video. congrats.
Very helpful vidieo man. I just got a couple of Esky 900 (500 size) helis. It has the old flybar system. Can I use the 3axis flybarLESS gyro on the bar system heli? Will this give me extra stability? Now that I know more about FBL, I think I like to convert at least the one heli that I got. Last time I check though, I didn't see any conversion head for the Esky 900.
I am bashing together a (hopefully) working model from parts of several art tech Falcon 3d. I have a huge lot of new and used part to do this. (no docs.) having never set up a heli it's been quite the challenge. it has a flybar on it, I am using a futaba T6XAs rafio, and I need to get it set up right. can you direct me to helpful info? (all old stuff I know, but is available and was cheap.)
Thank you!
I am noticing on a lot of various rc heli. vids. that the swashplate movements are "in phase" with transmitter stick movement. not 90° precessed as I understood it was necessary due to gyroscopic procession.
why is this? has the head been designed in a way to compensate?
I'm not a heli pilot (yet) either. but I would like to get this straight in my thinking before I attempt a lift off. someone please explain.
GPS tells the helicopter yaw pitch and roll X Y Z as well?I have a K-Bar receiver.
I have no idea, I haven't been in the RC scene in quite some time.
Ok thanks the "little copter" idea struck a cord ✌️
Good Review...
Hi I have a question. I installed a hobby mate hb8000 on my trex 500. But when I give elevator or aileron input the servos slow is that normal? Any suggestions would be appreciated thank you.
good video
Nice video make one for flybar systems:-)
YOU CAN GET MY RISE Please how we configure the 3D mode IN THE RADIO AND GYRO
How do you like the 7200BX unit? Thinking about this rather then a separate receiver and FBL unit but the all in one units scare me a little.
The 7200 is a good unit for an old unit. It has one major fault thoe...
The 7200 has very low vibration/hormonic tolerance... So make sure your mechanics are tip top smooth. The 7200 is well known to give full rate to right roll spontaneously if it gets spooked by vibes. Basically, the unit itself looses its own orientation.

Yeah. Its more of a potential issue with small birds, 450 and 250 class as driveline RPM's are much higher resulting in very fine high frequency harmonics that that dont appear as 'vibration'. The ar7200bx came along when FBL was still new, so it deserves some slack for its shortcomings. Foam tape works, but the gel tape is where its at.

If you are looking at moving past the 7200 I totally recommend the microbeast plus. Its all beastx... (the 7200 was a spektrum partnership). Way faster cpu, 6 axis vs 3 axis, governer, will support sat rx. Flies on rails. Vibe intolerance is a zero issue. I mount mine on both birds on two layers of gel mount.

Yeah. Align makes good gel mount. I use 2. Look me on facebook if I can be of help. Welcome back to the hobby. 👊👊
show how you configure 3D mode WITH THE RADIO
I'm having a problem with the EXI 500 HELICOPTER the main blades are turning clock wise but the tail blades are turning clock wise as well the tail blades should be turning away from the heli which is counter clock wise help please I have taken this thing apart 4 times still can't figure it out
Electric or glow fuel?
Wow, very, very easy to understand. If possible, have a camera person. Shaky video would be SO MUCH BETTER if camera didn't bounce all over. Thank you for your time!
What model is that
Which model are you talking about? They are all models. The big one is an "Align Trex 550E" and the small one was a "e-flight mCPx."
I've always wondered what the purpose of the follower arms was my self
it's just to keep the top half of the swashplate in line with the blade grips, so you're not using the pitch links to do the job and drag it, for it will shift out of line. for example on a nano cp x, there is no follower arms, just the pitch links, but the head has little fixed guide bars that hold the pitch links straight. which you can get away with on a tiny helicopter, but the bigger ones it's more risky.
Dude...nice video...however...maybe for the next one MOUNT THE CAMERA SOMEWHERE.........
@@semperfidelis8386 ya man, totally agree. My new videos are generally better. Keep in mind, this was 11 years ago.
liked!
It's like .. a drive assist for helis.
The entire time I watched this video I thought I was listening to Jeff Daniels. You can imagine my disappointment when I found that not to be the case
I find it easier to explain that just by saying that the flybarless box is flying the helicopter. it is responsible for controlling all the servos related to yaw pitch bank and all that... so really the box is flying the helicopter and when you send signals from the controller they're going into the gyro box and basically asking the little autopilot in there to turn left turn right or deviate from its course. with no input the box will attempt to keep the helicopter level. with inputs, you're telling it to make exceptions to the corrections it is applying.
Nope. With no input, the heli will remain in the same attitude as the last input. No auto leveling.
I bet ur from wisconsin...or canadian..lol
Lmao canadian.
Small helicopter sale for me bro
fala demais e não mostra nada ...
Great video, especially for a beginner. How FBL behaves with a training gear installed? Just got Beastx plus but never flew yet.
I have no idea why this video was made but if you are reading this skip this ridiculous video its a load of shit! How many times this guy says he is not really sure or he didn't look it up or etc should be an indication of how well this guy understands anything.
John Smith totally agree with ya, this guy needs to go back to the fixed pitched blades and stay for a while and leave the explanation to someone that knows what the hell the y are talking about. Good Lord! "Bouncing up and down" WTF
@@cdmc012599
STFU. This is accurate. The bounce up and down is referring to the fact that FBL systems do not intervene with collective input.
thank you so much, hey i just got a trex 600e fbl on craigs it has some goood electronics. i have to bind the spectrum dx61 to it. the owner told me it will work for this bird, oh he stretched to a 700 size, plus im not that inclined on mechanics , im just rc car kind of a guy, th main head blade moves a little i guess it could need new bearings , or is this normal , thanks again for your vid, i would realy appreciate the advice. cheers
thank you for the tech advice my friend.
GAY!!!!.
why
BTW 6500ED, have you become a flat earther yet?
Nice video make one for flybar systems:-)
