This video we cover it all. Welcome back for another amazing installment of transit Tuesday! Today we are looking at 3, you heard correctly 3 Ford Transits with very different body styles. The first Ford Transit is a low roof van equipped with a WeldTec Designs 5" lift kit "Trail Runner" & 285/70r17 tires (nearly 33" tires). The Second van is a mid roof transit also equipped with the WeldTec Designs 5" suspension lift kit but has 265/70r17 tires (nearly 31" tires). Last but certainly not least is a high roof AWD Ford Transit that is equipped with a 2' suspension lift kit "Altitude" from WeldTec Designs with 265/75r16 tires (nearly 31" tires). 3 awesome Transit's all ready for adventure.

That mid roof is calling my name! The 265/70R17 tires look awesome with the 5” lift kit.
The title indicates the video would compare the advantages & disadvantages of the 3 different roof heights. Instead it focuses on “fluff” (wheel& lift kit aesthetics)

All 3 of the vans look much better when lifted & fitted w/ off-road tires. If I were to get one, I'd personally prefer the low-roof or mid-roof. Also, cool vid bro! 😎👍🏾

Can you speak on the reports of spindle failure?
I do not anticipate any hardcore bouldering, but I will be out west later this year and some camping spots are down dirt roads.

What is the overall height of the vans? Will they fit in an 8' door?
Unrelated, but it is so weird seeing a Burlington dept store in California lol. I live in Burlington where that store started, and it was shit lol. Anyway, I drive a Transit commercial and I have never in my life with it, thought of lifting that turd. The 3.7 is a struggle everyday, so just get the EcoBoost for anyone interested.

The Middle one was my favorite!! But I would probably go with the high roof for more space and the extended version!!

Are you going to work on lift kit options that work with Quadvans? I own a QV and other lower front end stance is a bummer. Would love to see that worked out!

What is the total ground clearance on the awd set up?
On a 2" AWD kit with 245 tire i belive it was about 11" from the ground to the sub frame.

We usually share it now, depending on the occasion. It's a smooth ride!
