Definitely some trimming of the pinch weld with this combo. On stock wheels, and these same tires, no trimming is needed. The aggressive offset requires a decent amount.
What strut did you use for the fronts? Or did you just go with the OE strut and the VC blue spring coil overs? I would like to do exactly what you did on a 350HD dually. Thanks for the vid!!
thank you for the video my van has ultra toils 450 sb wheels and tires are KO2 s 245-75-16 i have a lot sway when trucks passes by do you think its the tires or ?
Do you have aftermarket shocks? I find having adjustable shocks in the rear allows me to tighten up the suspension on long Hiway trips. It helps with road sway for sure.
It looks like those tires extend outside the side of the van. Is that a problem in wet or muddy conditions? Is there any shop that sells fender extenders for transits?
I think it's great for added stability and traction, but getting rocks stuck between the dual wheels could be an issue. I have to say that a lifted dually with larger tires looks pretty amazing though. I know of one guy that swapped his dual wheels for a super single rear tire on his Sprinter. It's been better for him not having to deal with rocks stuck between them.
Nice straight to the point video. I wish more were like this instead of having a bunch of fluff trying to be more like a reality show.
Thank you!
Already looks so capable ...... looking forward to seeing the full build
We just purchased the exact set up for our work/camper vans! Thank you for this video! Super helpful
Nice video and a lot of good information!
Thank you!
Very nice set up. Now i wanted to have the same set up on my 2020 awd. How much does it cost for everthing wheels and lift kits.
Can and or should you add sumo shocks in addtion to the lift? Would it have a negative or positive imact on the ride suspension if you did?
How much will it be for me to do this job to my van in your shop. An average please, so I can budget
How was the trimming for the pinch weld in the front wheel wells with this wheel/tire combo? Any rubbing?

Just the stock struts with the blue springs. We have a dually at the shop with the same lift kit. Looks awesome.
@@gonemobilevans Thanks for the reply!!
What is your gas mileage with the lift and tire increase and motor please?

They do poke out a bit. I haven't experienced an issue yet... I'm not aware of fender extenders or anything like that. Interesting idea though.
How’s the front wheel well clearance on those 245 75R16’s? Seems like a no-go in snowy conditions.
The wheel wells on the Transit are not huge. I don’t have any experience with snow. I try to avoid the snow these days!
What aspect is the main problem-asking because I have no knowledge. Is it too wide? Thx!
What is your gas mileage on your transit with the lift and larger tires please and motor size, thanks
Thanks for the comment. I get about 15mpg on the highway, and 11.5 on the streets.
What did you do with the stock tire pressure monitors?
They got installed on the new wheels. They work as designed. No problems at all.
How do you feel about the dually option for overlanding?
I think it's great for added stability and traction, but getting rocks stuck between the dual wheels could be an issue. I’m trying my rims now and it looks like I will need to trim the sheet metal and plastic, is this something you had to do?
I do have the same lift kit installed
Yes, absolutely. The pinch weld behind the front tires was trimmed.
Did you install the lift kit yourself? if yes are you doing a video on the install?
Although we have installed the lift kits in the past, we’ve been working with Baja HQ for the installs lately. No video planned at the moment.
@@gonemobilevans O.K thanks
@@gonemobilevans did they do the trimming for you too?
@@kylehayes1458 Yes! They sure do.
