    Love your channel. Fantastically delivered and very informative. May I ask you a direct question? I am torn between using Armour Shield IX and Car Pro CQuartz UK 3.0, topped with SIC. I have ceramic coated several times before, so know the preparation that is required. Which option would you choose?

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  Год назад +2

      Thank you so much! I would 100% go with CQUARTZ UK and then top with Sic. For sure I suppose I am biased since I do not sell Armor shield BUT regardless of where you purchase the products I would still recommend as I have. CQUARTZ is an industry leader in ceramic coatings and you just can't beat this combo.

    In terms of Cquartz Professional, Dquartz and C Quartz, either one of those 3 or all compare to CQuart UK3.0 top with SIC or Gliss. If the vehicle maintenance the same, so what are the long term durability between these DIY coating and professional coating?

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  20 дней назад

      Hi Tony, The DQUARTZ tech is the toughest coatings on the market according to our tests and feedback over the past 2 years. Due to that, we expect they will also outlast the rest of our coaitngs. So DQUARTZ GO is the most durable publicly available coating on the market while DQUARTZ PRO will last even longer.

    • @SkyCarCare

      @@tonythetonester5223 Great question! They are not even in the same ball park honestly... The DQUARTZ GO is far more advanced, far stronger, and more durable than either of the coatings you mentioned.

    In my country in Europe, something strange is happening with the Finest ceramic protection, maybe it's a bad discarded series. It was applied to my car in June 2022, but it weakened a lot even if the car was maintained only with carpro products. What's worse is that this is not the only case in my country, but it happens that other detailers complain about that ceramic protection and customers return to them again. I also have the feeling that it's all being "covered up" because none of the authorized carpro importers are responding properly.

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  Год назад

      Hmmm that is very strange indeed! We have not seen any issues here in USA. You should contact your installer and they should resolve that immediately. If they do not then email me at service@carpro-us.com and we will get to the bottom of this and get you in touch with the right people.

    Obviously its hard to give an accurate measure, but what sort of durability would you expect for CQ UK 3.0 topped with 1 layer of SiC? For something that's washed weekly/fortnightly, parked outside 24/7 and has a decon once/twice a year?

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  Год назад

      Thanks for sharing some of the variables! That helps! Well... assuming the car does not get paint overspray form someone painting in the area or something random like that then I would say you should expect 3 ~ 5 years with that sort of care. Caveat for if you live in the salt zone and salt is going to be all over the lower panels for 2 weeks at a time. In that case the coating will still protect the paint but the salt will likely trash the hydrophobics some on those areas. You can reload that function or use Hydro2 on those panels if necessary in that case when it becomes needed

      You absolutely can. No question! Regardless of where you purchase it, we are happy to provide the information you see on our channel to help you along your journey. Fortunately for myself and the rest of our family here, we are in business thanks to those who prefer to purchase it from us. They see the value in a small family business that provides FAR better customer service than Amazon, who have a phone number they can call and get expert advice, who create and invest in videos like the one you watched here, who work hard to improve products and support the industry, who provide better pricing than Amazon, who provide 3% cash back on every order, and who provide product that is fresher than Amazon and not sitting in a warehouse for an extensive time. I suppose the list could continue but I hear the phone ringing :)
      Thanks again for watching and have a great day,

    Is Finest “better” than UK and the others in the lineup?

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  Год назад +1

      Well it depends. I would say "better for what?" When it comes to a product that does not need to be IR cured and is not Finest certified then there's nothing on the market that beats CQUARTZ UK! Except maybe CQUARTZ UK topped with a coat of CQUARTZ Sic! AMAZING combo.

      The greatest aspect of the certified only coatings is the level the installers have been vetted and the sort of finish they are required to achieve before coating. As for the coating itself they will last a but longer in most cases and hold up against elements a bit better.

    Nothing pisses me off more than gatekeeper products. It almost makes me want to abondon the brand all-together. You see this shit in certain industries where the installers lean on manufacturers to lock down a marketplace (sometimes vice-versa), in the end it's the consumer that suffers, and I can't stand that. If for whatever reason someone wants to buy themselves (or rent) some IR curing lamps, and apply a product like Finest Reserve themselves, I don't see a problem with that. That's their prerogative...And don't give me this shit that Carpro "cares" about the outcome, please...This is about locking down a dealer network for them, and assing out the consumers.
    You run into the same BS often with like HVAC and plumbing suppliers. I gotta pay some douche $200+ and hour, plus $100+ in "parts", to replace a $50 UV lamp in my AC? Cause the local suppliers refuse to sell me the lamp (so as not to steal business from the installers), since I'm not an "HVAC Business"...WTF!? Thank god I managed to source one online. Had it installed 10 minutes after receiving it. Cost me $50 (and 10 minutes), instead of $300+ (and hours of my life). Damn this gets my blood boiling...
