One day a local tomcat was chasing the daughter, and she was running as fast as she could away from him, toward the house. The mom cat saw this and what she did was incredibly interesting. The tomcat, hot on her heels was quick to follow her through, but as he did, the mom cat rotated out from the door frame like she was a door made of claws and just caught him full in the face with both paws, which he, completely unaware, hit at full speed. We have a female tortie who has repeatedly run to my daughter when she would fall as a toddler, stand on her hind legs and place her paws on my little girl's back at the shoulders while she was crying to console her. Never owned a cat until we had kids, amazing, nuturing, and sympathetic animals 🤗
This reminds me fondly of my first cat. He was a Bengal Tiger disguised as a 9-pound housecat -- a ferocious (and unbeaten) fighter against cats and dogs both, yet sweet and loving to his human family. The only thing he would have done differently here was give that dog a wound that would have sent it to the vet.
Cats are very smart. Instincts are impeccable. Most humans would have froze for a few seconds trying to process what it's seeing before ultimately reacting the way the cat did.
Watch it again. After checking to make sure the kid was okay and seeing mom come to the rescue, the cat then turned and chased the dog around the car. Once it was satisfied the dog was really on the run for real for, it ducked under the car and came out the other side where mom and the kid were before making a retreat with them back to the house. This cat couldn't have played it more perfectly. 💯
@@dudeecorvo8389 Well thats mostly the case because most (western) people today arent used to violence anymore. In my fathers day, for example, brawls were quite common, (young) people almost expected a brawl when going out to party (for reasons like visiting another village/district, looking at the "wrong woman" etc.). As an example, one time, when i was still a kid some 25 years ago, a drunken guy walked up to us, as we were changing tyres. My father talked friendly to that guy, while casually putting his work gloves on. After the drunken guy walked on i asked my father, why he had put on the gloves. My father said "it helps to prevent the skin from splitting on your knuckles, when you hit someone". My father saw a potential thread and was fully ready for a fight, if things had turned bad. Thats the difference of his generation and mine i guess.
Only one objection: Nobody actually owns a cat. They chose to live with us because we make for good staff until they develop opposing thumbs to open cans of food themselves. Then we're screwed. 😏
My mother had a big Collie/ German Shepherd mixture dog. Nice dog but he used to bug and tease her mean little cat. One day he pushed it too far and the cat did a number on the poor guy's face. Fortunately he wasn't hurt badly but he never messed with her again.
Then the cat doesn't over pursue to make itself vulnerable to a counter attack. She withdraws back to the boy and stays with him and his mom as they retreat to the safety of the house.
Yeah except the woman and child ran away in fear. Understandable they couldnt have known it was the cat. The cat just ran out from under the vehicle. That said pretty shameful of her to just abandon the kid. I suppose primal fears just take over for some.
Yes it's true, but it's unbelievable also. Because Rat is the best prey of cat. And cat is the best prey of Dog. Then how does the dogs run when cat comes closer to him.
Obviously, that cat did not pay a penny for her food since she was born. But you need to get this comments on RUclips to realize humans are far from being there yet.

@R K I guess they can be. Dogs as pack animals are very quick-witted and adaptable at times. It makes sense that they'd notice the mood and elevate it. I wish that goes for all breeds though. Some breeds scare me when they wander without a leash.

The cardiovascular system of the domesticated cat has an average weight of ca 13g. Which is tiny when compared to that of humans which is about 300g for males and 200g for females.
Exactly. My cat fought my newly adopted hostile cat about a year ago because she scratched and hissed at me. Didn't even think about it. Just charged in lol
My neighbours cat saved her life. I was out in my driveway doing something with my car. I looked up my driveway and the neighbours cat was sat at the top just crying. I called her but she wouldnt come to me so I just stood there. After a couple of minutes I started to walk towards her and immediately she went around the corner and down my neighbours driveway. I got to the top of my driveway and looked around the corner down at my neighbours driveway. The cat had stopped halfway and was just looking at me crying. Had the feeling then she was trying to tell me something. Started to walk towards her again and she immediately ran to the back door of my neighbours house and shot inside (the door was open). I knocked on the door and called her name (she's elderly). No answer. Kept calling but no answer but could hear the cat crying. I went into the house and my neighbour was lying half conscious on the living room floor. The cat had sat next to her with both paws on her and looked up at me and cried. She'd had a heart attack. I phoned for an ambulance and eventually she was ok. That cat saved her life.
Cats understand when someone is sick and understand emotions. I've suffered from depression all my life, one time I was crying really hard and my cat came over to me and stood up on two legs and put his front paws on my face and then kept rubbing himself on me as if to offer comfort. That had a huge impact on me and actually made me feel like I wasn't alone anymore.

In the same spirit, Cat Fanciers' Association announced Tara the recipient of its first-ever Cat Hero Award. On June 3, 2014, the Bakersfield Board of Supervisors proclaimed June 3 as "Tara the Hero Cat" Day. On August 15, 2014, Tara was awarded the Special Award For Cat Achievement by the Cat Vid Festival. On September 26, 2014, Tara was awarded the Blue Tiger Award; an award only awarded to Military service dogs. Tara became the first non-human to be named the grand marshal for Bakersfield's Christmas parade in 2014. On June 19, 2015, Tara was awarded with the Los Angeles SPCA's "Hero Dog" award, for which she also won a year's supply of cat food. The way the cat jumps on the dog & the chase after is the most spectacular... Heroic cat.
It's not the first time, there is a cat who went head on against a burgler and another who saved a family from gas leak, and multiple who saved them from health stuff
Cat's rule the world. No matter it is a big cat or small they rule because of their attitude & fighting skill
I’m concerned the woman left the kid when she thought the dog was coming back.
That cat played it perfectly, jumped in, chased off, didn't over extend, made sure his owner was alright and went into safety.

0:29 Notice how the cat looks to see if the child is safe and when the mother comes in sight, chases the dog away
The way the cat handled that situation was truly amazing. Certainly, a special bond between the cat and the family.
Then the cat doesn't over pursue to make itself vulnerable to a counter attack. She withdraws back to the boy and stays with him and his mom as they retreat to the safety of the house.
Almost like animals have the ability to think and process too, how weird
The cat even asked “are you okay?”. Animals are amazing
Yeah except the woman and child ran away in fear. Understandable they couldnt have known it was the cat. The cat just ran out from under the vehicle. That said pretty shameful of her to just abandon the kid. I suppose primal fears just take over for some.

This is why I don’t like dogs personally, but mad respect for the cat!
Dogs sucks
I thought the woman was gonna carry the boy to safety but she was like ," boy r u okay run for your life "

Ha ha ha
This comment made my day 😂😂😂😂
Yeah it hurts , something similar happened to me too when I was 5-6 , I was in the roof with my mom with her mother, brother and his wife I was also riding a bike and I saw everyone of her family were getting away from me , even though they were , 1 feet or more distance from me , they could have dragged me easily if they wanted to , I got scared and jumped from the bike and went near them suddenly something landed on my bike and it was a big monkey , I am from India so, they are very common here and after that incident whenever I told them about this incident they didn't believe me and told me they had dragged me away from that monkey
Even after the dog ran off the cat’s like- “I’M NOT DONE WITH YOU!” 😂
Lol right
Doesn't want to lose its pray.
@OTOLI X i really hope you don't actually have kids
@OTOLI X Talk about emotionally judgemental bitch. Trump is an idiot coward just like you it looks like
@OTOLI X A sociopath isn't even human. You vote for a charlatan, and a conman. An almost textbook populist candidate who failed to achieve anything good for the nation in his four years and you want to condemn us to another. Constantly lying to your face. No empathy for others. Literally projects his own thinking and actions onto others. Undermines trust in democracy for a win. Literal slimeball of a man, who has failed in every major enterprise. Never earned the capital to even initiate them, and as taxes show cares very little to give back to a nation that he aims to rob blind until his death. This is the being you are enspelled to. There isn't a thing you could ever want from him that he has ever put to any amount of thought. You literally only figure up until the point you stop being useful.
I always thought dogs were bound to protect their human, but a cat can do just the same. RIP my cat Chloe, she was extremely protective of me just like this cat was to her human. They are little tigers with huge hearts. I miss her so much.
I like how the cat came back around the car with the boy after chasing the dog.
Cat: dude you're safe now
Tara is truly a good kitty. I love her.
Cats like my work is done here
Unbelieveable
Yea to check if he is all good lol
That could’ve changed his life for ever.
People don’t give that cat the credit it really desserves.
The cat was probably a guardian angel for the child,a deceased grandparent perhaps.! It’s known to happen.!Love this old video,Everyone should be made to watch it,glad it’s back.!!🤗😇💖
The real question is why the mom left her child on the ground and ran away at the end there...
@@supremegodfather9253 cat is braver than her
@@supremegodfather9253 I wondered that too, but in the description it says after she checked that her son was ok she ran to secure the dog in the yard.

My Cat: *Only sleep, eat and meow*

HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHA
haha same
Same as my cat, For real my cat is worthless, doesn’t like if I pet or hold him and wouldn’t care if I died right now, but I would still lay my life down for that damn cat.
Dude thanks for making me laughing hahahahhahah
Brooo that cat just tackled and DRIFTED at the same time.

Cats do care even if they act as if they don't. Once I had a breakdown and was crying in my room. My cat was sleeping in other room hurried to mine, looking all scared and he tried patting me. I shooed him away and closed the door. He went downstairs all panicky and called my brother upstairs. My brother mentioned he literally bit his leg just to make him follow to my room.
That’s cute :)
Why would you shut the door on the cat, it was literally trying to calm you down,.
@@hamburgerhamburger4491 when having a breakdown you don't always think very logically. They might've wanted to be left alone and just reacted without thinking.
@@pie1o1morris46 true true
One time I got really sick as a kid and all of our cats would sleep with me. We had like four cats and one would always sleep with me but the other three joined in when I was sick
The cat not only body blocked the dog, but proceeded to chase him and made sure he was not coming back. Uncommon valor.
I got a German Shepherd not too long ago, and my cats HATE him with a passion yet they tolerate each other. But one day, my dog snuck up on me and jumped on me from behind. It startled me, because I didn't see or hear him coming, and I yelled out, "Ahhh@!!!"
My cat immediately sprang into action and started swiping and hissing at my dog lol. I think my kitty thought my dog was attacking me. Cats don't often get the due credit and respect that they deserve.
Wow amazing! I never owned a cat or watch/read anything about cats so I didn’t know they’re just as loyal, protective, and brave! We need more stories like this.

The cat literally ran off the dog, then looked around to make sure there wasn't a pack or other dogs, then looked at the mom coming to help, then ran after the dog again. All in like 1/2 a second. I'm a dog person but damn that cat is a hero. - WW
