@@Vaudevillain121 They are also easily trainable. Besides, there was no reason for that cat to be on a leash in that location, the owner just so happening to be filming, and the dog to act like that is a practiced action.

When we were walking around devil's tower, my dog Chevy Chase was walking between us and the ledge. He wouldn't let us near it. He grabbed my smallest nephews belt the whole time. It was so cute!! He and most dogs are very protective and it makes the heart melt.

@@thetooginator153 I thought I was imagining it. I tried to raise up a couple times. He was right across my center of gravity and if I moved, he raised his haunches transferring his weight pinning me. I had one second of fear. But that animal was special. Thanks

@@FruityHachi I'd say that they didn't help because the cat was being aggressive you can see it attacked the dog, then the video ends at the dog trying to get out which means they did end up helping the dog but not the cat because it wouldn't let them

Journey - Peace keepers is right! The dog understood exactly what the problem was, and gently removed the cat from the situation. It really looks like this wasn’t the first time either. The cat didn’t struggle at all, and the cat just kept his eye on the intruder: “If it wasn’t for my dog friend, I’d mess you up! You got lucky THIS time!”

When I was growing up we had a mean German Shephard dog living next door to us that would occasionally get out. .It was known to attack smaller dogs. Our little mutt was very afraid of him and would run for cover if this big dog came in our yard. One day we were in the house and heard a commotion in our yard. Our little dog was between the dog and our cat growling ferociously, protecting her little kitty friend. We have never forgotten this act of selfless love. Thanks Poochie!! RIP Poochie and Smokey!

In 2014, a 4-year-old boy in California was riding his bike in his own driveway when the next-door-neighbors' dog, a half-Lab/half-Chow Chow came into the boys' driveway, bit/grabbed the boy by his leg and started to drag the boy away. The little boy's cat, Tara, came out of nowhere and jumped on the dog , causing it to let go of the boy and the dog ran back over home. The cat then came back to check on the boy. The boys' mom ran outside, grabbed the boy & took him inside. The mom said in an interview that because of all the commotion/chaos, she hadn't even noticed that Tara was there _until_ she looked at the surveillance camera footage and saw that Tara had ran the dog off. The little boy needed 10 stitches in his leg but has recovered. He says Tara is his hero. 💗 Tara was awarded 5 awards for being so brave and on New Year's Day, in 2018, Tara and her family rode in the Rose Parade on the 'Lucy Pet Foundation Paws for Life' float honoring heroic animals.

Tara was a true hero because she didn’t even THINK about the danger to herself. She protected that boy like she would protect her own kitten. I don’t know how Tara knew to use a body slam, but that was amazing!

Some of this bothers me. I see an animal stuck in a pool or fountain and the person holding the camera is concerned about getting a viral video instead of rescuing the animal.

When I was a kid, our family dog Blou was very protective over our kitten, Cotton. He wouldn't let anyone near her, and if you tried, he went for blood. lol
Years ago, we had a dog who loved our cats. When one of them got injured, and we brought him home from the pet hospital, the dog checked him out and then hysterically ran around the house checking all the other cats to be sure they were okay. Another time, one of our cats died of an illness and he was heartbroken.
These videos are friendship goals and true loyalty. Truly amazing.

My parents' female cat Zoey and Female Dog Charlie got along really well compared to the two male cats who had a gay kinda Lion bond and they would bully both Charlie and Zoey, but Zoey the cat died from cancer a little while ago and Charlie just kind of knew it in Zoey's dying days and she would be at her side watching her 24/7, and since she knew my mom was giving Zoey a bunch of treats to make her last days happy, Charlie would completely block both of the Male cats and get right in their faces and stare them down if they wanted to steal Zoey's treats. RIP Zoey.
