Thank you for sharing, I just bought a used one with 16,812 hours on it and may need to replace the motor/pump assembly on it as you've just shown us. How much do these pumps usually sell for? I just seen one on Ebay new for $294.99 is this a good price?
There's 2 filters. The big one prevents dirt from getting inside & fouling up the machine. The small one prevents bacteria from getting into the patient's oxygen. If you don't change them they clog up, reduce air flow, eventually over heating the unit, & burning it out.

They're all 2 cylinders of zealite, plus an O2 storage cylinder except in small pulsed-flow battery operated ones. The storage cylinder keeps the O2 flow steady while the machine cycles between the 2 zealite cylinders.

Is there any way to open these motors and repair brushes, lubricate gears etc.
The bearings usually wear out in them first. When that happens, the shaft is damaged too. They don't sell the pieces separately.

You can rebuild the compressor you need to pry the cup seal retaining rings off then use a press to reinstall them.

You may have to get them on ebay. I saw them range from about $60-$120 when they're there.

Most likely a blown or worn compressor, but could be a fried circuit board.
My device is running for 5 seconds and it stops with a continuous beep
