  • In this clip we'll stand in the crowd and watch the 149th Kentucky Derby from start to finish with the # 8 horse MAGE winning. I wanted to share with you the raw footage so it's quite noisy from the crowd, but it will give you a good idea of what is is light at Churchill Downs for the big race. Jockey Javier Castellano and trainer Gustavo Delgado.

    I wanted to show you the energy and noise of the crowd. You can get a better angle of the race from the NBC Sports official footage, but this is from the crowd's vantage point at Churchill Downs. Cheers!

    Love your video. There’s nothing like being at the track. I’m sorry you didn’t cash tickets. With such a big field it’s necessary to pick 2 horses for example, and bet them plus make them key horses for exotic wagers. That’s how I won. One of my keys was Two Phil’s and he ran a great race holding second place. Mage was a live long shot I used in all my exotic bets. Love seeing smaller barns win too. I’ve never attended Churchill but have visited Santa Anita and Keeneland. Such massive facilities. Kentucky is a fabulous place to visit and I hope to make it back one day . Thanks again.

      Thanks for the tips. I actually bet on 6 different horses to win but none hit. I only did $5 per horse so it was just for fun.

      @@JoshPostVlogs In my opinion, that would be the best type of betting.. for fun! …because you can enjoy your experience, without being tied into the outcome in a, potentially, catastrophic way.
      Wow, this was interesting to watch. It makes the race seem SO much longer and shows just how massive that track is.
      Those horses are running MUCH further/faster than it looks on tv. I have a lot of respect for those animals.
      What a cool experience you had!
      (Rip🙏 to the horses we lost yesterday, and this week 🐎❤)

    I was there in 1990, thats a long time ago now. None of the infield buildings were there, the only thing thats the same is that large screen thats like a highway billboard. The grandstand was the old one too before they renovated.

    Is it like an NFL game, where a beer is $15?

    • @JoshPostVlogs
      @JoshPostVlogs  Год назад +1

      Thanks for the comment. It’s actually all inclusive for food and drink. The ticket prices are expensive, but as soon as you walk into the stadium, you can grab anything you want for food and drink. (The lines for food and drink can be a little long at 10 to 15 minutes each time in line to get something.)

    Thanks for that. 'The most exciting two minutes in sport.' Seriously? I think not. For the majority of the time, you can barely see the race on a small screen in the middle of the track. 'Murican relatives that lived in The South used to have their own seats/box/whatever and I'm guessing that the horse race was incidental to the socialising. That's something I can strike off my bucket list and put it into the other list. The one that sounds like bucket ;)

      Not much to say, horse needed the lead and just didn't break. He tried to compensate by rushing mid-race(which was a huge mistake as that pace was fast) and got tired. This horse should run the preakness, he might win.
