Since I discovered them two and a half years ago, BABYMETAL never ceased to amaze me! And "Shanti Shanti Shanti" is one of my favorite tracks from their today released new album "Metal Galaxy", which really is a box full of delectables!
Yes this is BABYMETAL with their take on Bollywood-metal .... and if you think they're experimenting here you really need to get hold of the new album (released world wide today). They are not limiting themselves to Asian styles of music, they are exploring the whole metal galaxy with sounds and styles from all around the world. As for developing another new genre, no they are simply expanding the one they already invented like no other band in the world could or would.
Nice reaction! I didn't think I'd like an Indian-style song that much, but it's awesome! The whole album is a lesson in creativity. And I agree, it's awesome how Su adjusts her vocals to the style the song requires.
Babymetal just uses a backing track for the live shows for any other instruments, they regularly have all kinds of piano, violin, etc. in their songs added (might not be in the forefront a lot of the time, but it's there). Babymetal is really just little girls and metal music and anything else they want. :-) (little girls, because well, they still aren't very tall ;-) ) Something is wrong in the world if Babymetal stops experimenting. Definitely check out the rest of the album.
The singer named Ayaka is a singer with the beautiful singing voice of Japan's top class that Japan is proud of. The lyrics of this song are very meaningful. I want you to react by all means. I will post the URL below. Please want to react Ayaka te wo tsunagou eng subs
Hmmm... guitar-wise, all these Indian-esque take isn't new on metal, these involves lots of major-minor notes (e.g. 9th and 10th frets). I can't put my finger on 'em but bands like...Rhapsody of Fire for example (they're Italians), have major-minor finger of notes and Indian-style notes are similar that way.^^ Anywayz, good reaction overall.^^

I agree, this is so unique from their previous songs and really one og a kind. It's a surprise out of the box!!!!
